Evaluation of Classification Algorithms vs Knowledge-Based Methods for Differential Diagnosis of Asthma in Iranian Patients 分类算法与基于知识的方法对伊朗哮喘患者鉴别诊断的评价

Medical data mining intends to solve real-world problems in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. This process applies various techniques and algorithms which have different levels of accuracy and precision. The purpose of this article is to apply data mining techniques to the diagnosis of asthma. Sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of K-nearest neighbor, Support Vector Machine, naive Bayes, Artificial Neural Network, classification tree, CN2 algorithms, and related similar studies were evaluated. ROC curves were plotted to show the performance of the authors' approach. Support vector machine SVM algorithms achieved the highest accuracy at 98.59% with a sensitivity of 98.59% and a specificity of 98.61% for class 1. Other algorithms had a range of accuracy greater than 87%. The results show that the authors can accurately diagnose asthma approximately 98% of the time based on demographics and clinical data. The study also has a higher sensitivity when compared to expert and knowledge-based systems.

Game-Based Accounting Learning: The Impact of Games in Learning Introductory Accounting 基于游戏的会计学习:游戏对学习会计入门的影响

Accounting students should enrich themselves with the technical knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to be successful in today's competitive environment. To reach these objectives, they should be highly engaged and motivated in the learning process. It has been argued that games can play a useful role in making the study of accounting more interesting, hence increasing motivation. The research presented in this paper explores the impact of learning in an introductory accounting course attributable to the use of games supplementary to the traditional teaching methods. The perceptions of 18 students and six faculties at a tertiary institution in the United Arab Emirates relating to the integration of games in an introductory accounting course were uncovered through semi structured interviews. Prior to the students being interviewed, they had been given the opportunity to play three different types of games in a controlled classroom. The exploratory research found that faculty and students believe that games can motivate students and maintain their enthusiasm and interest in learning in an introductory accounting course. However, faculty are generally not in a favour of introducing accounting concepts in introductory accounting course to students through games. They do agree that games should be used for practicing homework and as fillers in an introductory accounting course. The study accentuates that games are one of the motivational factors to maintain student's interest in the course consistently. This exploratory research will give an idea of innovative learning in the accounting class. It will assist accounting faculty to understand the fact that the use of games can make complex and quantitative subjects like accounting easy to understand and fun without sacrificing the quality of students' foundation learning in the subject.

Mobility Management for Vehicular User Equipment in LTE/Mobile Femtocell Networks LTE/移动Femtocell网络中车载用户设备的移动性管理

Vehicular User Equipment (UE) performance during mobility faces two issues relating to signaling and transmission, namely Handover (HO) and link adaptation. This paper shows that both processes are experiencing degradation during mobility and that vehicular UEs suffer from call drops and loss of connections. Therefore, this work presents an effective technique using Mobile-Femtos to improve vehicular UEs' HO process and link quality. Results show that vehicular UEs attached to a Mobile-Femto achieved better signalling and Link Ergodic capacity and as a consequence the outage probability was reduced. The achieved results indicated that deploying Mobile-Femtos under 25dB Vehicular Penetration Loss (VPL) has improved the vehicular UE Link Ergodic capacity by 1% and reduced the signal outage probability by 1.8% compared to the eNB direct transmission. Consequently, Drop Calls Probability (DCP) and Block Calls Probability (BCP) have been reduced by 7% and 14% respectively compared to the direct transmission from the eNB.

With the advent of new technology, the IT industry continuously strives to innovate in terms of deploying products or providing services and Cloud Computing is rapidly moving in the hype cycle. With practically all the service providers offering products and services with cloud features and functionality and investing in creating a cloud computing ecosystem, it has become important to understand what these ecosystem means to the organizations based out of UAE who have to decide whether to adopt cloud computing or shun it. There are several factors impacting an organization's decision on its choice of cloud computing adoption (like data security, Legal implications and derived benefits especially in UAE) (Al Tamimi & Company, 2005). There is a need for an assessment of cloud ecosystem in UAE which would be one of the significant factors considered cloud adoption in this region. This study analyzes the current cloud ecosystem providers in UAE and their product and services on cloud computing. It also tries to relate the relation between the cloud ecosystem and the factors impacting organization's decision to adopt cloud computing.

Emerging Technologies: An Exploration of Novel Interactive Technologies 新兴技术:新型交互技术的探索

The paper revises a collection of novel interactive technologies, known as post-WIMP. These technologies have been enormously cited in HCI research and recently adopted by enterprises to develop original applications in specific domain areas. The theoretical review of each technology includes a summary on what the technology is, how it works, how the user interacts with it, and in which domain areas it is being used. This paper also provides a critical comparison of these technologies using renowned models and usability criteria. However, this paper does not give a full description of the featured technologies rather it focuses more on their areas of application. Likewise, not all the upcoming technologies are discussed in this paper but most of the featured technologies fall within the “Trough of Disillusionment†and “Peak of Inflated Expectation†of the Gartner's 2015 hype cycle.

Adoption of Web 2.0 Marketing: An Exploratory Study About the Nigerian SME's 采用Web 2.0营销:尼日利亚中小企业的探索性研究

The digital age has brought up improved and efficient marketing ways for businesses to grow, earn publicity and generate more revenue. Web 2.0 marketing is a marketing medium that allows business to collaborate through sharing activities such as content and multimedia. This study explores the value which Web 2.0 marketing adds to the Nigerian SME's. The analyzed data showed that SME's most common marketing tool is Facebook, service-rendering companies also adopt Blogging tool and product-selling businesses prefer the picture platform (Facebook and Instagram). The major Web 2.0 marketing benefits achieved by the Nigerians SME's are increase in brand awareness and revenue. However, the benefit of getting high search engine optimization (SEO) rank is not leveraged. One major challenge is lack of in house skills is the most common faced in the adoption of Web 2.0 marketing as most of the online marketing is done by unskilled employees in the company; this issue leads to several challenges. It is recommended that the SME's should hire or outsource certified digital marketers for effective management and achievement of optimum Web 2.0 marketing strategy benefits.

Designing Models for Software as a Service in Cloud Computing 云计算中软件即服务的模型设计

This paper details the case study of the model development at a company that offers software as a service (SaaS) to clients in the services industry. The growing market for SaaS provides the company tremendous opportunities to succeed as a startup. A new cloud-based system is aimed at facilitating the automation of cross-department collaboration by integrating company's Web applications to other service providers and Enterprise Resource Planning systems. However, as it is challenging to dynamically integrate multiple autonomous software systems, the company has identified Web services technologies as the foundation of the next generation software solutions. To create an extensible solution, Event-Driven Process Chain and Unified Modeling Language models are developed to model enterprise business processes and their departmental functions. The models are abstract views of complex enterprise systems. Antecedents and Consequences of Customer Brand Engagement: An Empirical Study in the Mobile Headset Category 顾客品牌参与的前因与后果:基于移动耳机类别的实证研究

Mobile phone markets are one of the most turbulent market environments today due to increased competition and change. Thus, it is of growing concern to look at consumer buying decision process and cast light on the factors that finally determine consumer choices between different mobile phone brands. With its calculated roots in fields including psychology and authoritative conduct, the engagement idea is rising in the promoting writing, with preparatory exploration showing that connected with buyers may display more prominent dedication to central brands. Notwithstanding these progressions, the engagement idea stays underexplored to date. On this basis, this article deals with consumers' choice criteria in mobile phone markets by studying factors that leads to customer brand engagement and the consequences to it in the context of mobile headset brand. Findings indicate that brand self-congruity, involvement, and interactivity leads to customer brand engagement and which itself influences satisfaction, trust and commitment for mobile headset brands.

Hybridization of SOM and PSO for Detecting Fraud in Credit Card 基于自适应粒子群算法的信用卡欺诈检测

Fraud Detection is a detection of criminal activity that generally occurs in commercial organization. Detection of such fraud can prevent a great economic loss. Credit card fraud depends upon usage of card, its unusual transactions behavior or any unauthorized activity on a credit card. Clustering process can divide the data into subsets and it can be very helpful in credit card fraud detection where outlier may be more interesting than common cases. Self-organizing Map SOM is unsupervised clustering technique which is very efficient and handling large and high dimensional dataset. Particle Swarm Optimization PSO is another stochastic optimization technique based on intelligent of swarms. In the present study, we combine these two methods and present a new hybrid approach self-organizing Particle Swarm Optimization SOPSO in detection of credit card fraud. In order to apply our method, we demonstrated an example and its results are compared with previous techniques. Some challenges shown in the previous researches such as time and space complexity, false positive rate and supervised techniques. Our approach is efficient as it implements one of the optimization technique and unsupervised approach which results in less time and space complexity and false positive rate is very low. Domain independency is also achieved in our approach.

An Evolutive Component-Based Method for Agile Development of Service Oriented Architectures 面向服务架构敏捷开发的一种基于组件的进化方法

The adoption of the agile methods' principles has emerged as an effective way to develop service oriented architectures as it paves the way for a better reply to the changing needs of the environment and even the customer. However, these changes may also require the evolution of the development process itself. This paper presents an agile and service-oriented software development method that combines concepts from the Service-Oriented Computing (SOC) domain and the agile software engineering one. This method provides an iterative and incremental process to deliverer business processes, implemented as an assembly of components. This leads to a faster response to the change of needs by reconfiguring the assembly of components. The method is based on a framework that implements its phases as an assembly of components to allow a dynamic reconfiguration of it in case of a development process evolution. Finally, a case study is presented to illustrate the use of the presented method.
