Using frequency data of the Northwest Power Grid from Feb. 15th to 28th, 2013 that is measured by PMU-light units in Shandong University, the steady state characteristics of frequency are analyzed in this paper. Duration and number of low-frequency and high-frequency events are listed. Statistics of daily highest, lowest and average frequency values are given. Ensemble averaged frequency values are calculated. Characteristics of steady-state frequency in the Northwest Power Grid are summarized and influence factors of frequency are discussed. The influence of the proportion of wind power on the frequency quality is simulated. The necessity of the application of a new frequency control method called DFR (Demand as Frequency Controlled Reserve) in the Northwest Power Grid is discussed.

Massive historical data are stored in chlorine gas monitoring network. So that prediction algorithm of data mining is used to dig historical data not only can make the redundant data reused, but also can forecast the network trend and improve the network early warning model. The chlorine gas monitoring wireless sensor network based on ZigBee was designed in this paper. Then Fletcher-Reeves algorithm was added to dig historical data in the network, forecast the network trend and improve the early warning model. The predicted concentration of chlorine data were trained by data mining model. The maximum relative error between predicted concentration and measured concentration was 11.08%, and the maximum average error was 7.36%. And it can satisfy actual requirements.

In the process of aircraft development, we need to verify the Electrical Management System (UMS) on condition monitoring and control functions of each subsystem digitization, as well as the system management automation. For the subsystem power subsystem requires UMS achieve its AC and DC power supply subsystem bus bar, ground power, battery, rectifier unit and emergency DC generators and other equipment for condition monitoring and fault alarms. In the case of the power supply subsystem actual hardware is not installed, we need to develop a power supply system simulation exciter to completely simulate AC power subsystem, DC power supply subsystem, emergency DC power system, the function of the battery system, AC/DC power distribution system and the interface with UMS, this simulation can real-time monitor the power supply network state, to be able to implant failure information, can record and playback the working state of the power supply system, it is verify UMS for the control of the power supply subsystem, monitoring function. In this paper, the structure and function of the hardware and software are detailed described, with a corresponding software test, as well as verifying the software for each board hardware control and data acquisition functions, and finally introduces the development of the main problems encountered in the process of the system and the key technology. Actual results had shown that the system can effectively monitor and control electrical and mechanical verification management system.

This paper investigates the H∞ filtering problem for neutral stochastic systems with Markovian switching. By the Lyapunov stability theory, this paper designs an H∞ filter such that the filtering error system is mean-square asymptotically stable and satisfies a prescribed H∞ performance level. Finally, a simulation example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed filtering scheme.

In the recent years, power line communication technology has seen a rapid development. However, due to the unsteadiness of the power line channels, there are still some problems of obstruction and attenuation in this field which decrease the prospect and scope of this technology. This paper which is based on previous basic studies about spread spectrum communication and OFDM (orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing) investigates the methods of using OFDM to restrain the obstruction and attenuation in low-voltage power line communications and give the systematic model based on the transfer characteristic of power line. Meanwhile the results of testing and simulation are presented which make power line communication technology more practical and applied.

Inertial navigation technology is usually selected as the primary navigation method of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs). The localization error can gradually increase over time in the absence of other navigation correction information. Moving Short Base-lines (MSBL) mounted in the bottom of mother ship can be fused in the AUVs' integrated navigation system, which can effectively slow down or inhibit the growth of the positioning error. However, different number of baselines and different geometric configuration can cause changes in navigation accuracy. In this paper, the rank and the determinant of the Fisher Information Matrix (FIM) are analysed to obtain the impact of the number of baselines and geometric configuration on the underwater AUVs positioning observability. Then, we get the principles of optimal design of the number of baselines and geometric configuration. Under the conditions meeting the minimum number of baselines, we simulate and compare AUVs' localization errors of two typical geometric configuration. Simulation results show that the design satisfying the principles of optimal design based on FIM can effectively inhibit the growth of the positioning error.

Intelligent recognition of fighter's maneuver is critical in pilots' simulated training. In order to enhance intelligent recognition of the maneuver, a method of intelligent recognition of fighter's maneuver which is based on fuzzy control theory is proposed. The method uses smoothing, marking data node, removing small perturbations, feature extraction and so on. It solves problems such as inaccurate recognition and delayed identifying of the maneuvers.

The model for the leakage and diffusion of liquid ammonia tank established using the species transport and reaction module of Fluent in order to investigate the leakage of liquid ammonia due to storage tank failure. The corresponding influencing laws were obtained by changing the height of leakage source and the size of leakage aperture in the simulation. The potential hazard of liquid ammonia reserved at temperature and high pressure or low temperature and low pressure condition was obtained by comparison of simulation results. The results show that the high concentration of gas diffusion on the leeward side will increase with decreasing height of leakage source, the leakage rate of Ammonia tank and the concentration of gas diffusion on the same location increase as the size of leakage aperture increase, the distance and hazards of gas diffusion during the same time will increase with increasing when using storage mode of normal temperature and high pressure under the same leakage condition.

Aiming at the passive ranging to the non-cooperate target, the passive ranging algorithm based on the image sequence is proposed. The analysis on the image matching algorithms were performed, including SIFT, SURF, and ASURF. In which, the SURF algorithm is better method in our system becouse of the real time and precision. It can find plenty of special regions from the target images grabbed at real time. Each special region includes not only the position, size and direction of itself, but also includes a feature vector with shifting, rotation and scale invariance. According to that information, each special region in grabbed image can find a corresponding region in target features database, and build a matching pair. So, the ranging from the target to the camera can be estimated by the parameters of the matching pairs. Experimental results show that the passive ranging algorithm is effective and reliable.

The performance of lithium-ion rechargeable battery depends on its coulombic efficiency, which determines the measurement accuracy of the state of charge as well. In this context, the regularity that coulombic efficiency changes with environmental temperature and charge-discharge rate was analyzed in different cases, and a TPS (Thin Plate Spline) surface fitting-based coulombic efficiency estimation method was proposed for lithium-ion rechargeable battery. The presented method has a unique advantage in 3D smooth surface interpolation, which made it possible to model the functional relationship between battery coulombic efficiency, ambient temperature and charge-discharge rate, and then adjust the reconstructed precision with the plate rigidity sequentially. The experimental results illustrate that the proposed method is able to estimate the corresponding coulombic efficiency in the presumed range of ambient temperature and charge-discharge rate without battery cycling procedure. Furthermore, the accuracy and promptness of the novel method are verified simultaneously.
