In recent years, the Internet has opened up opportunities for manufacturers and retailers to advertise and sell their products online. Online shopping is becoming a habit of consumers. Although there are many benefits of buying and selling online, such as easy product selection and comparison from many different sellers before deciding which one to buy, reading comments before buying a product is a habit of customers. It helps them learn from the experiences of former buyers. However, buying based on product reviews is risky, especially fake reviews. These reviews affect the buyers’ purchase decisions. Detecting fake reviews is a critical problem. This study proposed a machine learning-based framework for detecting fake reviews by extracting features from text and deployed six machine-learning models for classification tasks. Experimental results showed that the SVC is a reliable machine-learning algorithm for classifying truthful reviews and fake reviews using the TF-IDF feature extraction technique.

The recommender system helps recommend relevant information items to the user. In recommender systems, collaborative filtering is commonly used to gauge users' interest in new products. Collaborative filtering systems often rely on data about the similarity of users or products in the system in the past to predict preferences or new products for specific users. In this article, we apply the collaborative filtering technique with the k-nearest neighbor to recommend documents for the English center. The implementation process includes the following steps: Firstly, we build a system to collect and store data in the database; Secondly, we implement a recommendation algorithm with three cases, including Case 1 for new users, Case 2 for users who have seen the most document items, and Case 3 for centers' members. The results make it easier for users to find documents.

The Timoshenko beam theory is widely used in various fields due to its ability to accurately model the behavior of beams with specific characteristics. However, when it comes to analyzing large deflection beams, the Timoshenko beam theory becomes less precise. This paper introduces a proposed discrete Timoshenko beam model to predict the mechanical behavior of slender beams subjected to large deflections under various loadings. A mathematical analysis was developed and validated using finite element analysis in conjunction with a compliant mechanism. The modeling results demonstrate that the force-displacement behavior of a bistable mechanism can be accurately captured by the discrete Timoshenko beam model. In particular, when comparing the discrete Timoshenko beam model and finite element analysis, the maximum and minimum forces exhibited a strong agreement, with a percentage difference of less than 3% and 5%, respectively. In terms of the total elastic strain energy and maximum principal stress, the deviations between the discrete Timoshenko beam model and finite element analysis were approximately 2% and 7%, respectively. The proposed model can be integrated into an optimization algorithm for designing compliant mechanisms.

The stability assessment of the power system is one of the most important tasks in the design and operation of the power system. Stability is the ability of the system to recover to the initial state or close to the initial state after large disturbances to the initial state Duyen Hai 1 Thermal Power Plant belonging to Duyen Hai Power Center, consisting of two generating units, totaling two units, with a capacity of 1,245 MW, the output of electricity produced is about 7.8 billion kWh per year. The participation of Duyen Hai 1 Thermal Power Plant in the system has specific impacts on the stability of the system. Incidents that destabilize Duyen Hai 1 Thermal Power Plant can cause widespread power outages, leading to great economic losses. Therefore, the research team analyzes and evaluates the stability of Duyen Hai 1 Thermal Power Plant by using the standard theories of stability regarding rotor deflection angle, critical shear time, transient curves of mechanical quantities and power when agitation occurs, comparing the critical mode with the operating mode to conclude the possibility of stability.

Recently, metaheuristic optimization algorithms have been studied and applied in many fields of engineering, especially in solving structural optimization problems. For structures with complex behaviors, the selection of a suitable optimization algorithm significantly increases the computational efficiency and the accuracy of the solution. In this paper, we investigate the optimization problem of stiffened composite plates using Balancing Composite Motion Optimization. The core idea of the Balancing Composite Motion Optimization algorithm is that the searching movements of candidate solutions are compositely equalized in both global and local ones in the solution space of solving the fiber optimization problem of stiffened composite plates. A candidate solution can move closer to better ones to exploit the local regions and move further to explore the search space also. The method does not require algorithm parameters. The calculation results are compared with many other metaheuristic optimization methods to prove the accuracy and efficiency of the method.

Solar energy is a renewable energy source that is becoming increasingly popular in providing electricity for households and industrial production. Using solar panels also brings many benefits to human life. In particular, solar panels are advantageous in providing electricity to remote and isolated areas that do not have access to the national grid. However, like any other technology, solar panels also have particular environmental impacts that need to be taken into account. From reference sources, this study aims to make statistics and evaluate the impacts of solar panels on the environment. The analyzed results show that the land occupancy index of solar power is the least compared to other power sources for the power plant's life of more than 25 years.

The article presents the results of developing a control algorithm for the activation time of the driver-side airbag in cars. The authors used C++ programming language to build the control algorithm. The research results show that when applying this algorithm to the airbag control model, some characteristics can be observed and tested, such as the airbag activation time being compatible with the magnitude of impact force. This implies that the larger the impact force (collision), the faster the airbag activation time will be. When the sensor loses its signal, the system will display an error on the car's display screen. This algorithm can also change the input data settings so that users can adjust the data to improve the airbag's optimal operation.

This paper presents a method for 3D LiDAR segmentation based on Euclidean clustering specifically designed for embedded systems. LiDAR sensors are widely used for perception tasks in autonomous vehicles, robotics, and other applications, providing dense point cloud data of the environment. Segmentation of the point cloud into meaningful objects is essential for understanding the surroundings and making informed decisions. Euclidean clustering is an effective approach for grouping points based on spatial proximity, enabling object segmentation. However, implementing such algorithms on embedded systems poses challenges due to limited computational resources. In this work, we propose an optimized implementation of the Euclidean clustering algorithm tailored for embedded systems to achieve real-time performance on the embedded system. The proposed approach involves acquiring raw point cloud data from the LiDAR sensor and preprocessing it to reduce noise and size. Adaptive Euclidean clustering is then applied to group points into clusters based on their spatial proximity. Extracted features such as centroids and bounding boxes are utilized for object classification and segmentation. Post-processing steps refine the segmentation results, improving accuracy and removing spurious clusters
