Power allocation for two-user cognitive multiple access channels under primary user outage constraint 主用户中断约束下双用户认知多址信道的功率分配

This paper considers a two-user spectrum sharing cognitive radio multiple access channel (CR-MAC) coexisting with a pair of primary users (PUs). Different from the existing works in CR-MAC where the interference power constraint is applied to protect the PU transmission, a more advanced protection criterion over the interference power constraint, namely PU outage constraint, is adopted in this paper to not only protect the PU transmission but also improve the performance of the CR-MAC. Under such a constraint as well as the transmit power constraint, an iterative power allocation algorithm is proposed to maximize the ergodic sum capacity of the CR-MAC. It is shown by extensive simulations that the proposed power allocation algorithm significantly outperforms the existing algorithm based on the interference power constraint, with the same resultant PU outage probability.

Resource allocation for scalable video streaming in highway VANET 高速公路VANET中可扩展视频流的资源分配

In vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET), the popular video transmission service can serve people with live traffic information, real-time news or even high-definition movies, which can assist people to drive on the road and enhance their driving experience. In this paper, we propose a dynamic programming based algorithm for the resource allocation problem of scalable video streaming through long term evolution (LTE) networks in highway VANET. We manage vehicular mobility by using small group of pictures (GOP) sized scalable video coding (SVC) encoder and valid signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio (SINR) estimator. We also adopt adaptive receive window of GOP to enhance the resource utilization efficiency as well as video quality. The simulation results demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed algorithm.

An achievability scheme for downlink multicell processing with finite backhaul capacity: The general case 有限回程容量下行多单元处理的可实现方案:一般情况

In the general scenario of downlink multicell processing, we propose an achievability scheme for the case where the capacity of the backhaul links are limited. The achievability scheme proposed generalizes our earlier work of 2 base stations and 2 mobile users to an arbitrary number of base stations and users. Through numerical results, we demonstrate through example that in the medium range of finite backhaul capacity, our scheme outperforms other known achievability schemes.

Spectral efficiency guaranteed sustainable routing for energy renewable wireless mesh networks 频谱效率保证了能源可再生无线网状网络的可持续路由

A fundamental concern for energy renewable wireless mesh networks (WMNs) is properly routing exotic traffic across the network according to the energy adequacy at different mesh APs, such that the probability that mesh APs deplete their energy and go out of service is minimized, or equivalently, the network sustainability is maximized. However, existing sustainable routing schemes suffer significantly from low spectral efficiency (SE) performance, either because the selected path goes through links with poor quality or the route stretches too long so as to bypass nodes with low residual energy. This will inevitably lead to low end-to-end attainable rate (i.e., SE), and consequently underutilization of the scarce bandwidth resource. To cope with the above issue, we take SE into consideration and formulate the sustainable routing problem with stringent SE guarantee as an integer nonlinear programming problem. In addition, an optimal shortest path based sustainable routing (SPSR) algorithm is proposed to solve the problem with polynomial-time complexity. Extensive simulation results verify that our proposed SPSR algorithm outperforms existing state-of-the-art solutions in terms of both SE and network lifetime.

Non-stationary multi-ring channel model for massive MIMO systems 大规模MIMO系统的非平稳多环信道模型

This paper proposes a novel non-stationary multi-ring channel model for massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. As the dimension of the antenna arrays comes to be huge in massive MIMO systems, farfield assumption used in conventional MIMO channel models is not considered in the proposed model. Thus, the spherical wavefront assumption and a birth-death process to model non-stationary properties on both time and array axes are adopted to the proposed model. In addition, the multi-ring geometry relationships which are relative to the delays of multipath components (MPCs) are assumed to mimic the distribution of the clusters in massive MIMO channels. The numerical results, such as received power levels over the array, antenna correlation and eigenvalue distributions show that the proposed channel model captures specific characteristics of the massive MIMO channel comparing with the measurements.

A PPM-based four-dimensional modulation scheme for visible light communications 一种基于ppm的可见光通信四维调制方案

This paper presents a four-dimensional (4-D) modulation scheme combined pulse position modulation (PPM) with four-color (RGBA) light-emitting diode (LED) in a visible light communication (VLC) system. In the proposed scheme, multi-LED selection is used within a symbol interval in order to decrease the cross-talk between each LED and make sure that each LED works in its linear area. Based on the maximal minimum Euclidean distance criteria, the constellations of the new 4-D modulation are constructed under the constraints of the optical power and the illumination. Moreover, the theoretical symbol error rate (SER) of the proposed scheme with maximal likelihood (ML) detection is also analyzed. Finally, we simulate the proposed scheme under both the additive white Gaussian noise channel and the practical optical channel measured from our VLC prototype. The simulation results verify the correctness of our theoretical analysis and reveal that the proposed 4-D modulation scheme outperforms the traditional color shift keying (CSK) in term of the SER.

Dynamic fuzzy Q-learning for handover parameters optimization in 5G multi-tier networks 5G多层网络切换参数优化的动态模糊q学习

The mobility robustness optimization can significantly enhance the quality of service in scenarios characterized by dense uncoordinated deployment of small cells, as targeted by future 5th generation (5G) radio access technology. Current solutions mostly rely on priori knowledge and rule based algorithms, these solutions do have achieved good performance. There is still, however, a lot of room for further improvements, especially when enough priori knowledge is not available. In this paper, we propose a dynamic fuzzy Q-Learning algorithm for mobility management in small-cell networks. There are no fuzzy rules initially, this algorithm gradually generates new fuzzy rules and gets the required parameters through system learning, so as to reach a balance between the signaling cost caused by handover and the user experience affected by call dropping ratio. Performances are evaluated in a LTE system level simulator and impact of UE speed is considered. Simulation results show the efficiency of the proposed algorithm in minimizing the number of handovers while maintaining call dropping ratio at a minimal level.

Achieving primary secrecy in energy harvesting CRNs using stackelberg game 利用stackelberg博弈实现能量收集crn的一级保密

Physical layer security is a critical issue in cognitive radio networks (CRNs). This paper thus focuses on the joint primary user (PU) secrecy rate maximization and secondary user (SU) transmission capacity optimization problem in overlay CRNs. The PU leases its partial transmission spectrum to the SU for cooperative relaying opportunity by the SU. Different from previous works, the SU transmitter is energy constrained and can harvest energy from the environment. Both the PU and SU are selfish which means they only concentrate on their own performance. Given energy harvesting rate, we study the communication between PU and SU using Stackelberg game. A unique Nash Equilibrium point is achieved through mathematical analysis. Then we derive a distributed algorithm to jointly schedule the PU and SU behaviors in the network system. Both analytical result and simulation result demonstrate that both of PU network and SU network can achieve their optimal utilities.

4 Gbps digital coherent free space laser communication system based on modulating retro-reflector 基于调制后向反射器的4gbps数字相干自由空间激光通信系统

Free-space optical communication (FSO) based modulating retro-reflector (MRR) is propitious to the laser link between small load and ground station because of its advantage such as lightweight, fast pointing. And high sensitivity coherent optical communication can be achieved by digital algorithms. So a MRR free-space optical communication based on digital signal processing technology is simulated and experimentally demonstrated. A FSO model is established by optisystem software, and the simulation result shows that the proposed system is correct. It can be found that the BER of 10-6 can be obtained when communication distance is about 150km, the transmitter power is 37dBm. Then the proposed system is established in our experiment, and the BER is measured at 3.8 × 10-8, when a receiver power is -40dBm and the communication distance is about 3m. In our experimental result, receiving sensitivity can be improved about 4dB by EDFA. In conclusion, MRR free-space optical communication based on digital signal processing is experimentally verified, the system may be useful in lightweight wireless laser load in short communication distance.

Peak-to-average power ratio reduction for pulse-shaping OFDM systems 脉冲整形OFDM系统的峰均功率比降低

High peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) is a major drawback of the pulse-shaping orthogonal frequency division (PS-OFDM) system (mainly refers to Gabor systems in this paper). Due to the overlapped signal structure, it is considered that conventional PAPR reduction schemes intended for rectangular window based OFDM will not be very effective if directly employed in PS-OFDM system. However, in this paper, by making use of the finite length of prototype filters and dividing the PS-OFDM systems into IFFT and filter parts, we propose to employing conventional PAPR reduction schemes directly in PS-OFDM systems before filtering operations. Different with other PAPR reduction techniques, the proposed scheme preserves the localization and orthogonality of the prototype filters and achieves a desirable PAPR reduction of PS-OFDM system at the same time.
