Problem statement. One of the many problems that learning to serve in volleyball may require is an ineffective eye-hand coordination. In the school environment, two approaches are used to train this fundamental: cognitive and dynamic ecological. The objective of the study is to verify if a mixed approach is used, high school students will be able to improve the expectation of the service more than the other two types of approaches most used in schools. Methods. The sample is made up of 45 3rd high school students (average age of 16 years ± 2.99). All students will be divided into three groups of 15 students each: the experimental group will train with a mixed approach; the control group 1 will perform a program based on the ecological-dynamic approach and the control group 2 will train following the logic of the cognitive approach. All the groups performed a manual eye coordination test and a one-way anova was performed to verify the improvements between groups and subsequently the Post Hoc Bonferroni. Results. The result is statistically significant (p < .05). All the groups had an improvement in coordination but, from the post hoc, it is noted that the experimental group had clearly superior improvements to the other two groups. Conclusion. The mixed group proved to be an effective method to improve manual eye coordination in the volleyball serve as the relationship and fun were placed at the centre, which, combined with the practice of the gesture, made the students more motivated to learn.

Pencak silat is a martial art characterized by full body contact fighting. Its physical demand during official games has so far received little scientific attention. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to investigate the physical intensity based on the time structure during elite pencak silat competition. The classification of intensity in this study namely high intensity activities (HIA), low intensity activities (LIA), and off position (OP). A total of 45 fights from 3 elite competitions were used as samples. Using a time-motion analysis system, all movements relative to the match time were recorded during the fight. Data were obtained by comparing the fights among weight divisions and match rounds. The results showed that activities' intensity relative to match time structure were 2.6 ± 0.6 s for HIA; 11.3 ± 1.8 s for LIA and 8.4 ± 3.6 for OP. In addition, the ratio between combat and non-fight times is 0.1 ± 0.0. Meanwhile, the duration of HIA and LIA in all weight divisions tends to subsequently increase from round 1 to 3. The difference was found on the duration of OP. Unlike other weight divisions, the duration of OP in the lightweight division tended to decrease over the match rounds. This finding confirms that pencak silat characteristics are intermittent. These results can be useful for trainers aiming to develop training programs to better adapt with the physical demand of the match.

This study is focused on the declarations made by different Chilean institutions regarding the modifications affecting the subject Physical Education and Health (PEH), which were approved by the National Education Council. Purpose: The main aim was to analyse the speech generated and gather data around the curricular modifications in the 3rd and 4th course of the middle education in 2020, specifically the choice of leaving the subject PEH as an elective subject. Design: A qualitative, pragma-dialectic approach was used, focusing on the point of view and main arguments of the institutions on the topic. Results: 23 declarations were reviewed, pertaining 6 to health institutions, 12 to educational institutions, 4 to sports institutions, and finally, 1 corresponding to the political ambit. In summary, a common point of view rejecting curricular modification was found in all the institutions analysed. The main arguments to reject leaving PEH as an elective subject are related to health concerns (such as sedentarism and obesity), cognitive development and neuroplasticity, recreation, national sports performance. Due to all these factors, the institutions consulted propose PEH to be a core subject. Apart from the issues presented, the PEH teacher's role as a pedagogue should be considered. Conclusion: This study establishes a theoretical foundation to support and highlight the need for PEH to be a core subject in basic, middle, and higher education.

Didactic problem for the teacher is enormous since there is not only one method, but there are methods that each teacher must adapt with his own experience to the different needs of the students and the environmental context. As part of teaching of motor skills in volleyball, when we talk about method we generally refer to a series of intentional and organized actions that are implemented to achieve the set objectives, through the choice and use of means and contents that can favour motor learning. The teaching action of the teacher will be all the more effective the more adequate the working method is adopted. The term " method " is often connected to the terms " deductive " and " inductive ", therefore the distinction made between directive and non-directive style places the accent on the direct intervention of the teacher, while the other on the assumption by students of many aspects of the teaching function. Teaching methods find their origin in the two classic forms of deduction (managerial style) and induction (non-directive style). The teacher must know how to adopt different styles and methods according to the didactic needs, as there are no better styles and methods than others but choices suitable for achieving different objectives.

The diabetic foot represents one of the most common complications among patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Prevention of the diabetic foot is therefore essential both to ensure the patient a better quality of life and to reduce the costs borne by the NHS and this requires a multidisciplinary approach. It is important to underline that the major complications of the diabetic foot are due to biomechanical, vascular and neuropathic alterations. Diabetic patients are less likely to perform physical exercises and tend to walk less, adopting compensatory strategies based on the type of terrain they find. They walk slower, tend to take shorter steps with a wider base of support, have limited knee and ankle mobility. It is very important to study the biomechanics and hyperload points in order to assess the risk of ulceration. In this study we decided to treat the postural alterations of diabetic patients not suffering from neuropathy with the use of proprioceptive insoles by analysing the degrees of perturbation of postural balance using a stabilometric platform. This work intends to evaluate the objective possibility of considering posturology in diabetology as an instrument discipline, to guarantee the patient less risk of ulceration through a correct postural structure and a possible postural reprogramming.

The purpose of the study consisted in exploring specific features of the influence of social activity of student youth on the development of their health-promoting culture. In addition, the study was directed at searching for effective ways of encouraging and developing health-promoting culture among student youth by boosting activities in the sphere of student media. The subject of our study embraced the process of education and development of health-promoting culture among students through the inclusion of the media environment in the activity. Research methods comprised theoretical (analysis, classification, synthesis and generalization) and empirical ones (questionnaire " What is your creative potential "); " Communicative and organizational inclinations ". On the basis of the results of the study, the authors of the paper specified and concretized the concepts of general culture and social activity of students through the implementation of creative activity in the media space. An additional education program for students has been designed and tested, the purpose of which is to increase social activity and the development of health-promoting culture in the youth milieu. The designed Program, in addition to the formation of competences in the field of social activity and the development of general culture, information support of events and coverage of the main news among students, is focused on developing students’ professional skills of humanities courses who participate in the media space activities. The significance of the study from a practical point of view lies in the fact that its results can be used in the educational process to boost social activity and develop health-promoting culture of students of higher educational and vocational institutions. The novelty of the study is based on the fact that the designed Program of additional education for students of higher educational and vocational institutions is not only an educational program for mastering educational material but is a practical platform for the implementation of both educational and professional activities. The program comprises methods, technologies and resources that allow students to participate in various events and projects, to express themselves as a creative person, the ability to communicate with society, and organize events. The results of the program implementation raise the general socialization of students; determine the direction of their professional activity; and also provide a foundation for public life in the framework of press services of state bodies and public organizations.
