Financial derivatives for risk management in shipping operations: A simulation model applied to the oil and gas sector 航运业务风险管理的金融衍生工具:应用于石油和天然气部门的模拟模型

The objective of the study is to demonstrate the utility of financial derivatives instruments in risk protection for logistics. In the specific case, we model the application of financial instruments to shipping operations in the oil and gas sector. We first identify all risks confronting actors in international shipping operations: exchange and interest rate fluctuations, and variations in freight and commodity prices. Next we provide a brief summary of three major types of financial derivatives contracts: futures, swaps and options. Finally, we apply numerical simulations to identify appropriate cover against financial risks through application of the derivatives instruments. The methodology serves as a guide to efficient and effective advance planning and management of risk. Companies can: i) measure risk parameters; ii) compare the projected performance of alternate financial tools for their reduction; iii) select the appropriate instruments on the basis of cost and benefit standards defined by the company.

Review of transport emission modeling and monitoring in urban areas — Challenge for developing countries 城市地区交通排放模型和监测审查-发展中国家面临的挑战

Emissions from represent a major component of airborne pollution. Transportation emission models are part of the modeling process of transportation planning. It introduces an important tool for the environmental evaluation of different transportation scenarios. Worldwide, there are several emission models. These models are categories to static and dynamic models. It depends on the amount of available data for the emission modeling. Monitoring emissions in a study area is also an important tool of validating such emission models. In this paper, an analysis and comparison between transport emission models are used in estimating emissions from road traffic systems in urban areas has been introduced. The paper discusses the limitations and potentials of each type of transport emission models. The difficulties against applying these models in developing countries are also discussed. The study also determines the required steps towards realistic modeling of emission from transportation systems in developing countries. Moreover, different methods used for road traffic emission monitoring have been investigated.

A configuration model for recovery product flows orientation in open loop network 开环网络中回收产物流向的组态模型

The configuration of the reverse logistics network (RLN) is an important task in the determination of processing recovered products. In fact, products orientation in open loop network can influence the economic interest of decision maker. In open loop configuration, returned products are reintegrated in the supply chain with multiple recovery strategy to reuse the products or materials. The decision of valorization alternative becomes more and more complex due to the diversity of orientation, the state of returned products etc. In this paper, we develop a linear programming model to determine the product flow orientation with minimum economic value. A numerical study provides an optimal solution and detects the impact of parameters such as capacity of facility, volume and variety of type returned product on network configuration.

On demand transport system's approach as a multi-agent planning problem 按需运输系统的多智能体规划方法

In recent years, the “on demand transport-ODT” systems are increasingly popular in many cities around the world. An ODT system is defined by three components: the infrastructure of the city, the vehicles and the clients requests. Clients formulate requests for transportation between a pickup and a drop off places. These requests must be served in time by satisfying a set of constraints. We propose a new approach to resolve ODT problem as a multi-agent distributed planning problem. Our model reduces the exponential complexity of the problem, when solved by a centralized approach, to be polynomial. Our mutli-agent model is a strong first step to have a realistic ODT system taking into account environment and transport infrastructure conditions.

A literature survey of bullwhip effect (2010–2013) according to its causes and evaluation methods 根据牛鞭效应产生的原因和评价方法对2010-2013年牛鞭效应进行文献综述

An important supply chain research problem is the bullwhip effect (BE). Abundant literature treats the reduction of the BE. In fact, numerous studies have been developed according to various objectives and hypotheses. Despite the widespread literature on this topic, efforts to review and analyze research on BE are very limited. For this reason, this survey paper proposes to classify literature related to this area according to causes of BE and evaluation method. More than 70 papers published on BE studies within 2010-2013 were classified and analyzed. Major findings of this survey include the following. (1) The majority of the articles dealing with simulation method. (2) The choice of the replenishment policy as one of BE causes still not addressed. Finally, this paper briefly discusses some future research directions and some perspectives.

Analysis of sustainable urban transport in Libya 利比亚可持续城市交通分析

The proper planning of the general strategies for road marking is not dependent on the transport planning only, but it is directly related to health, social, physical and economic aspects and issues, and which have a negative impact on the development of communities. Cause random planning and incompatibility with the road specifications within Misurata city in the deterioration of social development and the lack of social and economic justice among the population, as well as the deterioration of the factors of traffic safety and increasing traffic congestion, and as the number of vehicles within the city continues to increase so the problem is getting worse and there is an urgent need for more effort to improve the performance of the road network and attempt to address the incompatible strategies in order to increase the efficiency of the traffic within the city. To achieve this end, there should be a close cooperation between all stakeholders in the city.

In this paper we will discuss the notion of developing the instrument for measuring intermodal accessibility by taking into account that the departure times of transport modes, the temporal variability and terminal path in a network of intermodal freight transportation. In particular, we will propose an indicator of consistency schedules to quantify the quality of intermodal connection. This has been focused on improving the consistency between transport networks to becoming less competitive and more complementary. In this paper, we will facilitate intermodal practices by limiting constraints associated with transloading.

The approaches of supply chain risks management 供应链风险管理的方法

The trend of companies to be organized in logistics partnership exposes each one to external risks. These risks of partnership strategies are difficult to controlled and managed in supply chain, due to the multitude relations that exist in this chain and that generate many disturbances can propagate throughout this network. Under these conditions, the choice of the method of risk management is very important for a successful process. We will try in this paper to make a description of the different approaches of supply chain risks management to help the decision-makers in their choices.
