Evaluation of color space for segmentation in robot soccer 机器人足球分割中色彩空间的评价

Color segmentation plays an important role as a primary process in the vision system of the robot soccer, since color is an effective and robust visual cue in the complex environment. However, color segmentation suffers natural variations in light and shadows as well as the limitation of calculation due to the real-time robot system. A color transformation is assumed to increase separability among different color class labels, for color segmentation approaches are highly dependent on the robustness of the used color spaces to these variations. In this contribution, measures based on geometric distance, histogram comparison and information theory are employed to evaluate a color space. Ten color spaces are compared by evaluation metrics for robot soccer vision system in the RoboCup Standard Platform League (SPL). The experimental results reveal that the optimal performance was obtained by the transforming the pixels to the CIE-L*a*b* and RGB color spaces. Moreover, the linear transform color spaces have better performance than perceptually color spaces according to the metrics for RoboCup SPL.

Optimal control approach to two-stage inventory system in steel cold rolling production 钢材冷轧生产两阶段库存系统的最优控制方法

This paper studies a two-stage inventory problem arising from cold rolling production process in the steel industry. The problem is to find a optimal inventory level which satisfies the order demand and ensures the continuity of production via controlling the production rate. Consider ring “transport of batch” to different sales center, we assume that the realization of the demand depends on the corresponding inventory level. We propose an optimal control model for this problem by relaxing some complex constraints of the practical technological requirements. To solve the two-stage inventory problem, the maximum principle is used and we obtain three optimal production rate: full production, no production and singular production in different conditions. Finally, a numerical example is provided to illustrate our method, where the experimental data is collected from a certain steel company.

EM-LDA model of user behavior detection for energy efficiency 能效用户行为检测的EM-LDA模型

In energy efficient analysis, user behavior detection related to the dynamic demands of energy is a critical aspect to support the intelligent control schema of Building Management System. In this paper, anomalous occupancy of user behavior tends to be figured out from multiple time-series of occupancy record. The problems in this issue include the time-stamp detection and time-span identification of anomaly events. Most inference model based on Markov Chain can illustrate the time-stamp detection problem reasonably, but the time-span identification problem is just vaguely explained. Therefore, a Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) model is declared to figure out those two problems efficiently. First, the discrete data of occupancy are expressed as mixture model of Poisson distribution, and are transformed to a dataset with several semantic concepts via Expectation-Maximization Algorithm. Then, the denotation of LDA components (including the words, the topic, the document, and the relevant parameters and hyper-parameters) are illustrated, according to the semantic dataset. Finally, particle filter algorithm is leveraged to sample latent variable of topic, according to the conditional posterior probability of word for specific topic. After iterations, the probability of samples is closely approximated the true marginal distribution of words with specific topic. Through the relation matrix of words and topic, the most possible topic can be explained for the specific document. If a document's topic is different with other document's topic, this document can be identified as a bias of point anomaly (noting generally the amount of topics setup to two). Due to a word can involve several time-stamps of the time-series in a time, other contextual anomalies nearby the point anomaly can be marked, and they are the notation of time-spans for anomalous events. With a step by step along the time-series, all time-stamps can be ergodic as the documents, then all the contextual anomalies can be explained as following the happening of point anomalous event.

Formation stabilization of nonholonomic multi-robot systems using relative distance measurements 基于相对距离测量的非完整多机器人系统地层稳定

This paper addresses the decentralized formation stabilization issues using relative distance measurements for a class of nonholonomic multi-robot formation systems (NMRFS) under the assumption of each robot having its own stable trajectory tracking controller. This class of NMRFS, composed by n nonholonomic wheeled mobile robots (WMRs), is regarded as an abstracted system which mathematically describes the interconnect topology among the robots. Based on some critical stability results, the stabilization of the nonholonomic NMRFS are theoretically derived using differential geometry and its asymptotical formation stability is achieved. In addition, the design issue in the NMRFS with respect to the interconnection and formation stability is distinctly defined so that the changing formation parameters or interconnected structures on-line become practicable in the NMRFS. The effectiveness of the proposed methods is exemplified by conducting one simulation.

Application of fire monitoring and personnel evacuation in subway station based on Wireless Sensor Network 基于无线传感器网络的地铁车站火灾监控与人员疏散应用

It is a common topic to apply the fire monitoring and personnel evacuation in fire safety field of inside building. But there are few applying researches on fire safety field of underground building, especially in subway station fire. This paper made a trial application of WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) technology into fire monitoring and personnel evacuation during subway station fire, and built a synthetic system of fire monitoring and personnel evacuation based on some advanced algorithms. And the system has been proved to work effectively in monitoring fire and directing the distressed people and rescuers to evacuate in the subway station fire.

An introduction to event-based control for networked control systems 网络控制系统中基于事件的控制的介绍

This paper aims at making an overview of three different triggering control schemes for networked control systems based on previous works, namely, time-triggered control, event-triggered control and self-triggered control. By referring to large amount of others' works, this paper makes a comparison and analysis of the three triggering schemes and introduces some new control methods based on them. Transmission delay and data dropout are still two serious problems in the networked control systems needing to be coped with. Scheduling protocols are simply introduced at last. Through the analysis, we can conclude that event-triggered control method is most people's choice and have been used to solve difficult problems in many occasions.

Implementation of real-time object recognition system for home-service robot by integrating SURF and BRISK 基于SURF和BRISK的家庭服务机器人实时目标识别系统的实现

This paper proposes a real-time object recognition systems for recognizing known objects and searching unknown objects for home service robot. The object recognition system is mainly used in recognizing known objects, which combined Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA), Speeded Up Robust Features (SURF) detector and Binary Robust Invariant Scalable Keypoints (BRISK) descriptor for improving the computation speed and decreasing the consumption on memory. On the other side, the visual perception system is usually used for searching unknown objects, which calculated the depth differences and found the contours of objects. The experimental results in the laboratory and the competition in robot@home league at RoboCup Japan Open 2013 Tokyo illustrate that the robot can successfully real-time recognize the known objects and search the unknown objects.

Multi-phase switching method for paralleling power systems 并联电力系统的多相开关方法

A multi-phase switching scheme for paralleling power systems is presented. It can operate without current sharing compensator and it is not necessary to adjust the reference voltage in the feedback loop of each power supply. Furthermore, different rated output power units can be paralleled and composed of a large power system by this scheme. A Precision Time synchronization Protocol (PTP) is introduced. Because a digital control method for current-sharing in our scheme needs precise clocks and PTP can synchronize time in the sub-microsecond (10-6 s) range.

Self-organizing optimization algorithm for cast planning of steel making-continuous casting 炼钢连铸铸件规划的自组织优化算法

The mathematical model and the self-organizing optimization algorithm are proposed to solve the cast planning problem which determines the cast number as well as the selection and the sequence of charges. The cast planning problem is modeled as the traveling salesman problem with the objective of the minimum of the sum of fixed cast fees, continuous-cast penalty costs of consecutive charges and unselected charges costs. The proposed self-organizing optimization algorithm, which is inspired by Synergetics, is composed of competition factor, cooperation operator and order parameters. The actual example shows the effectiveness of the model and the self-organizing optimization algorithm for the cast planning problem.

Enhanced fuzzy sliding mode control to motion controller of linear induction motor drives 增强模糊滑模控制对直线感应电机驱动运动控制器的控制

In this paper, an enhanced fuzzy sliding mode control system (EFSMC) is proposed for a linear induction motor (LIM) to achieve the position tracking. First, the dynamic model of LIM is investigated for considering the end effect and the friction force into the observer-based compensation design to cope with the time-varying uncertainties. Then, a sliding mode control (SMC) based on the backstepping control technique is presented with the combination of two fuzzy logic controllers. The first fuzzy logic controller is proposed, through a dynamic tune of the sliding surface slope constant of the SMC according to the controlled system states by a fuzzy logic unit. To relax the need of the upper bound of the lumped uncertainties in the SMC, the second fuzzy logic controller is presented, in which the upper bound of the lumped uncertainties can be estimated by a fuzzy inference mechanism. Finally, the experiments for several scenarios are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the designed controller.
