Improvement on bit-error-rate performance of DS-CDMA by employing 4-elliptical phase shift keying 采用4椭圆相移键控提高DS-CDMA的误码率性能

Some modtilation schemes with the general name of Elliptical Modulation Scheme.s, have been propused and evahtated, in terms of Bit-Ervor-Rate (BER) performance. name[, are Eccentricity Shifr Keving (ESK), Inclination Angle Shift Keyinz (IASK). Rotation Freqriency Shlfi Keying (RFSK) and Elliptical Phase Shft Keying (EPSK). Based on their advantages over &sting modiilation schemes. this paper aimed to confirm the contvihiitions of 4-EPSK, one of Elliptical Modulation Schemes with 2-bit in?ur.mation tvan.smi.ssion capability, to the improvement uf CDMA commrmication systems. In the paper, we investigated the possible applications of 4-EPSK to CDMA systems. through evahiating BER performance of synchronous DS-CDMA by employing 4-EPSK a~ its mod2ilation scheme, with an M-sequence ar7d an orthogonal Gold sequence respectively, along with comparison to that of DS-CDMA by employing QPSK: simiilation restilts have been achieved based on changeable nrimber of zi.ser.s, under A WGN and flat Rayleigli .fading ernironmen/ respectively. Advantage.s of DS-CDMA -4-EPSK over e.risting DS-CDMA-QPSK achieved in .sim~ilatiims, implies that 1 7 ~ , employi~g 4-EPSK as its modrrlatiun scheme. This sriidv shows the capabilities and limitations uf /his technique as an alternative of RF .for home device interconnection. The success of IEEE 802. I I and Blrretoolh standardy-based devices ,for home applications can become a potential problem due to the reduced number af ,frequencies ./or channel allocarion. Infrared communication is constrained by walls and ,firrnitirre, reducing rhe size of commtrnications picocells to the room size, avoiding co-channel inteiference problem. This prototype is designed to lest ./id1 diffusc intereonnecrion withoiit pointing at commercial data rates (as usiia1l.v domestic devices do not need transmission rates over hundred uf Kbytes). For theorerical and experimental testing we have selected a hasic I Mb/s channel, hiit this haid rate can be easily increased if it is needed.for,fiirther applications.'. This is an innovative appmacli for interactive television in the sense that it admits tlie association of video arid coiite.~t serisitii~e infomiation. Frequency recognition is an important task in many engineering fields such as audio signal processing and telecommunications engineering, for example in applications like Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF) detection or the recognition of the carrier frequency of a Global Positioning, System (GPS) signal. This paper will present results of investigations on several common Fourier Transform-based frequency recognition algorithms implemented in real time on a Texas Instruments (TI) TMS320C6713 Digital Signal Processor (DSP) core. In addition, suitable metrics are going to be evaluated in order to ascertain which of these selected algorithms is appropriate for audio signal processing(1).

This paper presents a new wireless network sy.wm implemented on trains. It i . ~ hused on the Bliietrioth technolos. ~vhich i . ~ iised to inte~connecf the varions train cars to the locomotive. Every nehvork node is composed hy a powe~firl embedded sjsrem reqriired to control the Blnrtooth nehvork inrerfirce. We developed hoth hardware architecture and sojtx.are desigti of this emhedded sy.stem. which allows to 'achieve a,f& mid @cient implementation of'the protocols and a1gorith;is drsigned for the commiinication system management.
