On study of a new patch antenna with macromolecule magnetic substrate 一种新型高分子磁性基板贴片天线的研究

A new patch antenna with macromolecule magnetic substrate is presented in this paper. Both theoretical analysis and experimental results showed that this kind of patch antenna has extremely wide frequency bandwidth for the impedance character.

Gratinglobe suppression of phased array antenna for mobile satellite communications 移动卫星通信相控阵天线的光栅瓣抑制

A gratinglobe suppression technique of phased array antenna using an angular spatial filter is described. Angular spatial filter can be added to the existing antenna in order to reduce gratinglobes of the antenna. Based on microwave theory and EM analysis, an angular spatial filter is designed. The designed angular spatial filter has the power level lower 17 dB around /spl plusmn/ 50/spl deg/ from the main beam, ripple /spl plusmn/ 1.5 dB, and pass angle 20/spl deg/ at 12.25 GHz on TE case and power level lower 15 dB, ripple /spl plusmn/ 1.4 dB, and pass angle 27/spl deg/ at 12.25 GHz on TM case in satellite communication In this paper the measured results are shown to be not bad in the gratinglobe suppression. The designed filter is applicable for the reduction of gratinglobes for the phased array antenna system and radome of beamforming antenna.

An analysis of the effective propagation constant for a composite medium containing sparsely and randomly distributed pairs of dielectric or chiral spheres 包含稀疏和随机分布的电介质或手性球对的复合介质的有效传播常数分析

In this paper, the composite medium containing sparsely and randomly distributed aggregate spheres is considered. The effective propagation constants of the medium for the left- and right-handed polarization is evaluated by solving the multiple scattering equation using EFA. The T-matrix of the aggregate sphere is obtained by the recursive algorithm. Numerical results show that when the aggregate sphere consists of chiral or dielectric spheres whose size are much smaller than the wavelength, the characteristics of the aggregate sphere depend mainly on the properties of a scatterer of the largest size.

Free-space measurement of bi-axial anisotropic materials 双轴各向异性材料的自由空间测量

This paper presents an extension of the free-space method for measurement of bi-axial anisotropic material at microwave frequencies. In this method, four complex transverse constitutive parameters are directly computed from the reflection and transmission coefficients of a planar sample in free space for a normally incident plane wave with two polarizations. By using the measured amplitudes of the reflection and transmission coefficients of a planar sample at six incident angles with two polarizations, two complex longitudinal constitutive parameters are obtained by finding the solution to minimize the properly designed objective function under the suitable judging criterion. The numerical trials are carried out for a high-loss material by joining random errors to simulate the real measurement condition, which verifies the validity of this method.

The sphere interferometer antenna array is described in this paper. Such antenna from S band to Ku band has been designed, fabricated and tested over a wide range of incidence angles. The measurements results of the mechanical and electrical performance show that this prototype antenna can meet with the request of real application.

Broadband diversity patch antenna for DCS-UMTS indoor environments 用于DCS-UMTS室内环境的宽带分集贴片天线

Smart antenna sizes are too large to be implemented in indoor environments. Spatial diversity is too complicated to perform a fast deployment. An alternative design for such application is proposed, trying to obtain the benefits of spatial diversity but using only one compact antenna. The presented design is based on patch antennas, and fits the requirements for DCS-UMTS applications.

The left-handed wave inside natural materials 天然物质内部的左旋波

In terms of genetic algorithm (GA) and a parameter tracking scheme (PTS), the propagating constants of a waveguide filled with dissipative magnetic substances are accurately calculated and thoroughly analyzed. The practical results show the method is efficient and accurate. Moreover, it is found during the calculating that under certain conditions, the phase constant may be negative, which revealed that the wave propagating inside this waveguide possess the characteristic of that of the left-handed wave (LHW). It is of significance that the LHW may present in nature materials.

This paper addresses the frequency dependence of tropospheric scintillation by comparing the scintillation of both frequencies at the seven sites. Theoretically, tropospheric scintillation increases as the frequency increases with respect to a power function, f. The goal of this paper is to determine values for a, and study site, climate and elevation angle, dependence of a, with respect to rain and clear-sky conditions.

A strip loop antenna with a sleeve 带套筒的环形天线

A loop antenna printed on a dielectric substrate backed by a conducting plane, where the conducting plane and substrate are of finite extent is analyzed in this paper. The loop antenna has a printed sleeve of width w/sub slv/ and is excited through an electromagnetically coupled strip line. The radiation characteristics, taking into account the finite sizes of the substrate and the reflector also is studied in this paper. The author used finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method with Liao's second order absorbing boundary condition for the analysis of the strip loop antenna.
