As Aristotle has rightly said that man is a social animal. Social connectivity is must for any human being to develop oneself and to form healthy social relationships in a society. The social intelligence of teachers plays an important role in dealing with students, parents, and other member of society and pre service teachers will consequently join the schools and they will be directly responsible for social development of the children studying there. The aim of present study is to compare the social intelligence of pupil teachers (B. Ed students). The method used in the present study was descriptive survey method. Sampleof the study included B. Ed students of different B. Ed colleges affiliated to Kumaun University Nainital. Mean, SD, t-test were employed to statistically analyze the data. The findings of the study indicate that in some dimensions of social intelligence pupil teachers differ statistically like in patience dimension asit is found that female pupil teachers are more patient that male pupil teachers. In the dimension named cooperativeness male pupil teachers’ score was statistically higher than females. Female pupil teachers were found more able to recognize a social situation than males and, on the dimension, named humour it was shown that male pupil teachers were more humorous than females. Whereas in other dimensions of social intelligence they do not differ statistically namely; sensitivity, confidence, tactfulness and memory and total social intelligence on the basis of gender.

This study, “Causes of low performance in English at college level: Teachers’ Perspectives,” aimed to explore the teachers’ perspectives on the causes of low performance in English and suggestions forth improvement for the college level students. The data were collected from twenty teachers teaching at the college level in the Far Western part of Nepal using a general qualitative research design. The study used a questionnaire containing open ended questions to collect their perspectives and shared the question using Google form. Collected data were analyzed, forming two themes based on the questions: causes of low performance and suggestions for improvement. The collected data showed that classroom interaction, teaching methods, learners, curriculum, and evaluation system are the main causes of low performance. They have suggested increasing interaction in the classroom, changing teaching method sat the college level, revising the existing courses, and changing the examination system in the university to improve the level of performance of the students, especially at the college level.

Regression analysis is one of the most useful tools for academics, although it is a difficult, time-consuming, and expensive effort, especially when it comes to accurately estimating and properly interpreting data. Researchers believe that the findings of multiple linear regression produced by SPSS require a more inclusive and thoughtful interpretation. This study aims to understand and illustrate the detailed interpretation of fundamental multiple linear regression results using the social science sector. In this paper, researcher describe the processes for using SPSS Version 26 to obtain the results from multiple linear regression, and we also show the detailed interpretation of the results. In the results, Model Summary table, Statistical Significance of the Model from the ANOVA Table, and Statistical Significance of the Independent Variables from the Coefficients Table, researcher illustrate the interpretation of the coefficient from the output, B-value, β-value, t-value, and p-value. The results of multiple regression have been discussed in a thorough and careful manner. The resultant multiple linear regression model’s statistical and substantive significance are discussed. Every effort has been made to ensure that the explanation of the findings throughout the study serves as a competent model for the researchers to apply to any real-world data they may employ. Any researcher using multiple linear regression to more accurately predict their outcome variable should feel at peace and gain from doing so because every effort has been made to properly comprehend the fundamental SPSS multiple linear regression outputs.

The purpose of this article is to explore the reasons behind the historical backwardness of Dalits in education and analyze it on a theoretical basis. Based on theoretical review and personal interactions, this article is qualitative. Due to the strict policy of the caste system, especially Dalits have been deprived of every opportunity of human development for a long time. Manusmriti gave untouchability to the caste system which started from the Varna system in the name of religion. The ruler of the state merged religion with the state. Thus historically Dalits have been deprived of education by both religion and the state. At present, despite the removal of caste restrictions, the participation, sustainability, and achievement of Dalits in education are low. Even though the state has provided various facilities by increasing educational opportunities, there has been no meaningful participation of Dalit children in schools. The main reason for this is the continuity of social culture and the ceiling of job. The caste discrimination in the community is reflected in the schools as well. As a result, Dalit children have not been able to take benefit from the current education system in a fair and independent manner. This article shows that Dalits can be brought into the mainstream of education only through the education system which can create an equitable cultural capital to change the social structure developed on the cultural basis of inequality. Similarly, the education system needs to be restructured, and continuous efforts are needed to transform discriminatory values and attitudes into human values and integrate these values into practice.

This study is about the role of foreign employment in socio-economic development of Beldandi rural municipality. The main objective of this study is to analyze the nature and the role of foreign employment in the socio-economic development of Beldandi Rural Municipality of Kanchanpur district. A micro-level case study type research design was applied in which primary data were collected from a household survey with random sampling methods. A semi-structured questionnaire was applied for primary data where secondary data related to foreign employment were collected from different published sources. Simple mathematical procedures were used to analyze the data. The study findings show that 85 percentage of households got economic security by increasing their economic status from remittance income, and 65 percentages of respondents improved their knowledge and skills and used their skills in their community after arrival. This study also shows that foreign employment has positive changes in the socioeconomic status of respondents. However about 11percent of respondents’ economic status is worse, 35 percent of respondents’ socioeconomic status did not changes and around 54 percent of the respondent’s social attitude changed due to foreign employment.

Researchers have shown several benefits of MTB-MLE and several challenges in its implementation. In Nepal, language policies are in the state of flux. Therefore, against the theoretical backdrop, this paper is an attempt to find out the perceived differences between MTI and MTB-MLE, outcomes of MTB-MLE, challenges of MTB- MLE and ways to overcome the challenges. The study adopted convenience sampling and semi-structured interview for data generation. It presents a relevant literature that guided the study to reach the conclusions. The study has thematically analysed the data and shown that MTB-MLE is useful to preserve people’s identities, to enable people to cope up with global market, and to preserve the dying languages. Despite the challenges in the implication of MTB-MLE, the study has given the possible ways to overcome the challenges. The study has clearly mentioned its limitations and shown possibilities for further research as well.

The review was started aiming to assess the effect of school-based Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) facilities on students’ health status, school regularity, and educational achievement. Two major academic and scientific research journals as Springer and PubMed have been selected, where WASH is the search engines, separately. There were 8,443 relevant publications found, with Springer having6, 888 and PubMed having 1,555. Among these publications, author synthesized 17 with abstracts and full articles, including references for this study. The findings of this study indicates that intervention of school WASH facilities have an effect on students’ health status, regularity in school attendance, and educational achievement. It protects students from various infectious diseases caused by poor WASH access; however, ways of handling it is equally important. The intervention in WASH facilities at school improves students’ health, school regularity, and educational achievements. Thus, the study strongly suggests interventions in school-based WASH facilities to make students healthier, more regular, and better academic performer.

The study aims at finding out the existing situation of wellbeing of the teachers at the Far Western university and its impact on teaching and learning environment. The research has also attempted to find out the solution of the poor wellbeing status of the teachers. The research is based on the information collected from four university level teachers teaching in different faculties of the university selected through purposive random sampling procedure. Open ended questions were used to elicit the emic view of the informants in the issue in the question. The major cause of the poor well being is the indifference that is shown by the authorities’ of the university. Similarly other causes that affect the well-being is academic calendar and the workload; issues related to the students. To foster the well being of the teachers the study revealed that the planning should be done in advance by the respective authorities and should communicate on time to the concerned. Similarly the collaboration among the teachers is also very important to maintain the wellbeing among teachers.
