AbstractThe times by increasing the sophistication of science and technology have led to an increase in the flow of communication in Indonesia. Increasing the flow of cyberspace communication is increasingly widespread with various forms of communication both leading to positive and negative things such as hate speech. If negative forms of communication such as hate speech are not immediately prevented or overcome, it can have a negative impact on the unity and integrity of the Indonesian state. Therefore there is a need for treatment, one of the forms of handling is by optimizing tertiary institutions through the three principles of Tri Darma, education, research and service. In this case the author, examines the role of Islamic subjects and Javanese culture in dealing with expressions of hatred. The aim is to find out the role of Islamic tertiary institutions in preventing or overcoming hate speech, more specifically through these courses. The research method used in this paper is a qualitative analytical descriptive method. This course teaches a number of attitudes and principles of life that are relevant to Islamic teachings and are compatible with the principles of peace including universal attitudes, tolerance, understanding of togetherness and diversity, ngajeni marang liyan (respecting others). This research aims to determine the impact of the use of gadgets among students. With a qualitative approach, research tries to identify the various impacts of the use of gadgets. The interview was conducted against 3 students active using the gadget. The study of the book was also conducted to enrich the discussion in this study. The results of this study show that use of gadgets has a positive and negative impact, so users should be able to control the use of daily gadgets.Keywords: gadget, student, impact

This research aims to analyze the meaning of fanaticism in Quran surah Ar-Rum verse 30-37 using semiotics study. With a qualitative descriptive approach, the data in the study was the result of a literature study on the meaning of “fanaticism†in the Quran from a variety of literature sources. The results of this study showed that “fanaticism†in Quran surah Ar-Rum verse 30-37 has signs: 1) to the condemnation of Allah, 2) when accepting a favor or mercy of both material and non material, it will be very pleased, 3) if A calamity was struck by a moment of God, 4) if it was overwritten by a calamity caused by his own actions, in a moment of despair, 5) boasted and too strong to hold the principles of his own group.Keywords: fanatism, semiotic, tafsir.

AbstractThe development of information technology affects a variety of human life, including in the case of buying and selling transactions. If in previous years, buying and selling is usually direct, face to face. The current era of buying and selling without face to face is increasingly high by humans through a website system or platform. The buying and selling system also has various types, one of which is the dropshipper system. Behind the diversity of strengths, in terms of Islamic law the system has a variety of opinions that arise. Therefore, in this study, the author examines how Islamic law reviews the sale and purchase of the dropshipping system, especially among Surakarta IAIN students who are the objects of this research. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive analytical method. The results of the research, the sale of dropshipping in the study of Islamic law raises opportunities for default and the potential for harm associated with ownership of goods and the potential for fraud, but there are solutions to make the sale and purchase of dropshipping in accordance with Islamic law, namely by using the samsarah agreement, time, or greeting agreement. Of the three contracts, dropshipping sale and purchase carried out by students of IAIN Surakarta is a sale and purchase that is in conformity with the salam agreement and may be done as long as it meets the terms and conditions of the greeting agreement.Keywords: Dropshipper, Islamic law

The research aims to analyse the most optimal portfolio models from the various companies listed on the IDX with CAPM and Markowitz methods. With a descriptive quantitative approach, the study described the optimal portfolio models calculated using CAPM and Markowitz methods. A total of 9 companies were selected as samples with purposive technique. AbstractIn literary works such as novels there are various aspects that attract the reader and make the reader enjoy it. The politeness aspect will be useful to help the reader in understanding the contents of the novel. In this study, the author examines the literary work of Teman Imaji's novel by Mutia Prawitasari which is analyzed in terms of the language approach, especially pragmatics, namely the theory of politeness principles. This paper aims to find out what politeness principles of language are contained in the novel of Teman Imaji by Mutia Prawitasari. The type of research used in this study is the literature. The texts examined in this study are in the form of literary novels, namely the novel Teman Imaji by Mutia Prawitasari. The method used in studying the novel Teman Imaji by Mutia Prawitasari is a descriptive analytic method. The results can be seen that in the novel there are several maxims which indicate the principle of language modesty. This research aims to determine the impact of the company’s environmental performance on the company’s economic performance. Independent variables in this study are environmental performance measured by PROPER scores, while the dependencies of the variables are economic performance measured using ROA. With a quantitative approach, hypotheses in the study were tested using regression analysis. The samples in this study were 41 manufacturing companies selected using purposive-sampling techniques. Enforcement of a theft sentence has a number of terms and conditions that must be met. A thief can be sentenced if he falls into the category of terms and conditions that have been established both in positive law and Islamic law. In this study, the author examines the problem for children who commit theft in positive law and Islamic law. This research includes qualitative research with the type of research used is library research that is by collecting research materials from several books both books from print and online mass media. The results of the study revealed that, cases of theft committed by minors under positive law could be ensnared under Article 362 of the Criminal Code in criminal law provisions could be threatened with a five-year prison sentence or a maximum fine of nine hundred rupiahs or could be erased by punishment due to the holding of diversion in a familial manner. between the victim and the perpetrator. Based on Islamic law as implied by a hadith which states a child to reach puberty baligh, marked by the emergence of “dreams†(ihtilam) in men and menstruation for women. If a child steals, or even kills, he cannot be subject to any punishment. But even though the stipulations on how old baligh are in Islam are so broad, because there is no Qur’anic text that specifically explains how old the baligh is. AbstractLearning in college is growing, distance is not a burden in the learning process. There are various media that can be used without having to face to face between lecturers and students. In this case the researcher examines the use of Edmodo media in the sociolinguistic learning process in English Language Education. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The results obtained that Edmodo can provide convenience in the learning process as in the case of assignments or quizzes from lecturers. AbstractAlong with the times, the work of translation is not just limited to books. But also penetrated the learning videos and film subtitles. This research focuses on two translation videos by English Language Education students at IAIN Surakarta. This is considered very important because it is hoped that the video can support English learning to be more easily understood with the presence of English as well as its meaning in Indonesian. This research is a qualitative descriptive study because the data taken comes from the phenomenon of translation of children's texts related to the quality of the translation. video I and video II have different translation qualities, although they are both translated by seventh semester English Language Education students. Video I found that the results of the translation were inaccurate, unacceptable and still difficult to understand so that further analysis was needed to improve the quality. For video II, the results of the translation are accurate, acceptable and easy to understand. This research is a qualitative descriptive study because the data taken comes from the phenomenon of translation of children's texts related to the quality of the translation. video I and video II have different translation qualities, although they are both translated by seventh semester English Language Education students. Video I found that the results of the translation were inaccurate, unacceptable and still difficult to understand so that further analysis was needed to improve the quality. For video II, the results of the translation are accurate, acceptable and easy to understand.
