A number of problems of lexicographic description of historical toponyms of the Perm region are identified. The solution of these questions predetermined the structure of the dictionary article «Materials of monuments of the XVI – beginning of the XVIII century for the toponymic dictionary of the Perm region», which are currently being prepared by the authors of this abstracts for publication.

The research is devoted to the presentation of parenthetical words and combinations in explanatory dictionaries. These types of dictionaries are not chosen by chance, because they are used by native Russian speakers to decide whether a particular unit is an parenthetical one. The analysis of dictionary entries shows that numerous ways of lexicographic representation of parenthetical words and combinations often do not allow the writer to make a reasoned decision.

The creation of a dictionary of figurative derived vocabulary of the Russian language is an urgent practical task, primarily in the aspect of teaching Russian as a foreign language. The basis of the vocabulary should be made up of adjectives, adverbs and verbs with an internal form recognized by modern native speakers – derivatives with a comparative derivational meaning.
