Electronic bio-chemistry analyzer for estimation of biochemical constituents of blood 测定血液生化成分的电子生化分析仪

Instrument designed for the estimation of blood biochemical constituents is nothing but the biochemistry analyzer which is a electronic instrument and used for the investigation of various biochemical constituents like blood glucose, total protein, cholesterol, triglycerides, hemoglobin etc. It is microcontroller based device which is having an inbuilt menu driven programming which make this standalone device very user friendly for the estimation purpose. This paper provides the information regarding the construction of biochemistry analyzer and the basic principle of working methodology and paper also explain all the important components which are used for developing this instrument like microcontroller, photodiode, thermal printer, filter wheel assembly and many more.

Improving the performance of assembly line: Review with case study 改进装配线的性能:通过案例分析进行回顾

Context: Continuous Improvement in manufacturing to attain manufacturing excellence is today's requirement. It gives cutting edge over the competitors. This has developed lot of interest for the researchers during the last few years. Vehicle Assembly Line being the most complex Assembly line has been active area of research over years and has attracted many researchers. Objective: This paper systematically identifies and unfolds the important parameters by systematic review. Goal of this Research is to develop a novel classification of literature on Assembly Line and to improve the performance of vehicle assembly line using Lean implementation and Simulation approach. Methodology: Total of 116 referred journal articles in the domain of Vehicle assembly are reviewed here. Data is sourced from 40 publications, majority of which includes Elsevier, IEEE, and Springer. Further a mathematical model is developed considering the effect of number of resources, Break time, Downtime of machines and Absenteeism. A real world case study is done for a period of one year in a reputed vehicle assembly manufacturing plant. Results: Analysis of research on Assembly Line Balancing and optimization within many different industrial scenarios has been done her. This paper contributes to existing domain by classifying and comparing the means for input data, constraints and methodology used. It has been classified into five heads. A real world case study is done in reputed Company. Cycle time was reduced from 110 seconds to 100 seconds. Conclusion: It is difficult to perform the experiments like Design of Experiments (DOE) in complex manufacturing systems. Simulation allows us to test different concepts, various options without having to build prototypes. A case study done in Vehicle assembly shows the importance of Simulations to improve its performance measures. Limitations of the Research: The research does not completely optimize the production parameters. It improves the production system performance significantly.

Synthesis and characterization of magnetic liquid and its application as an inclination sensor 磁性液体的合成、表征及其在倾角传感器中的应用

The magnetic liquid known as ferrofluid is a liquid, acts as a smart material, which becomes strongly magnetized in the presence of a magnetic field. The aim of this work to develop standard, economical method for synthesis of iron oxide nanoparticles along with their coating with oleic acid resulting in good quality of stable ferrofluid. The authors have prepared ferrofluid where nanoparticles are suspended in kerosene. To avoid aggregation, nanoparticles are coated with oleic acid. In present work, the stability of ferrofluid is considered in terms of particle size, size distribution and magnetization. The properties of final fluid are studied with the help of various analytical techniques; X-ray diffraction (XRD), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) which are used for the determination of characteristics of ferrofluid like interatomic distance, size and shape of the particles and adhesion of oleic acid to nanoparticles. In account of synthesized ferrofluid, remaining part of work is dedicated to application of ferrofluid in the inclination sensor. In present there are many commercial applications of ferrofluids such as cancer detection (MRI test), speakers etc. Here the focus is given to construct ferrofluid based inductive inclination sensor as one of the application of the ferrofluid. The range of inclination sensor developed by us is ±12° and the resolution is ~ ±0.5°.

Review of accuracy improvement techniques in high speed 5 axis machining 高速五轴加工精度改进技术综述

The modern metal machining industry has overcome their limitations of working in order to machine all the points of the work piece. 5 axis machine tools have demonstrated the capability to perform intricate machining operations. Various machining operations involving undercut areas, deep cavities, sharp corners are demonstrated successfully using 5 axis machine tools. However, to perform these operations, often special fixtures, special tooling, tools with longer out sticks, and expensive electrodes are needed. These auxiliary tools are needed to achieve high quality with shorter manufacturing time. This further also leads to substantial saving of the manufacturing cost. Recent developments in CAD/CAM also have made greater impact on the efficient utilization of the 5 axis machine tools. Special attention is given to cutting tools and tool holding systems that support the whole process. This paper focuses on the review of the techniques applied to utilize 5 axis machine tools to improve the quality of the product with lesser machining time.

The detection and monitoring of gases in exhaled human breath till date has been limited by the lack of appropriate materials and technologies which could rapidly and selectively identify the presence and monitor the concentration of trace levels of specific biomarkers. In this paper, a method for detection of NO in exhaled breath has been proposed. Development of a continuous wave, thermoelectrically cooled, Distributed Feedback Quantum Cascade Laser (DFB-QCL) based sensor platform operating near 5.26 μm, in combination with QEPAS has been proposed for the quantitative detection of exhaled NO concentrations, which is a biomarker of airway inflammation and can indicate the extent of respiratory diseases.

Content based video classification using fuzzy rule base for edge detection 基于内容的视频分类,利用模糊规则库进行边缘检测

Multimedia sharing has become a recent trend over the Internet among which videos are an integral part. In order to handle such large amount of video data, classification techniques are necessary. This paper provides a video classification technique which uses a Fuzzy rule base to calculate a fuzzy measure `Edginess' for each pixel. Differences in pixel intensity are calculated and compared with a fuzzy rule base to calculate edginess. This edginess measure is used to decide whether a pixel belongs to an edge or not. Features extracted from training videos train the Naive Bayesian Classifier which is then used for testing videos. Features are pre-processed using techniques such as Discretize, Fuzzy Logic, Numeric to Binary, PKI Discretize and Normalize. Then, they are filtered using Correlation Feature Selection before training the classifier. Experimental Results show that a high accuracy of classification can be achieved with Fuzzy edge detection technique.

Temporal analysis and remote monitoring of ECG signal 心电信号的时间分析与远程监测

The system “Temporal analysis and remote monitoring of ECG signal” is developed to assist patients and doctors in health care. An arrhythmia is an abnormal heart rhythm. It can cause the heart rate to be too slow or too fast. Enough blood is not provided by the heart to the body when arrhythmias are severe or last long enough. This can cause patient to feel tired, lightheaded or may make him pass out. It can also cause death. Before treatment, it's important for the doctor to know where an arrhythmia starts in the heart and whether it's abnormal. An electrocardiogram (ECG) is often used to diagnose arrhythmias. “Temporal analysis and remote monitoring of ECG signal” is meant to acquire ECG signal from patient and analyze it to detect and classify its anomalies and abnormalities. This is achieved by extracting amplitudes and durations of parameters of ECG waveform such as P wave, QRS complex, RR interval and PR durations. These parameters are compared with the normal values to determine the type of abnormality. Database of the patient is maintained for further use by the doctor. Under critical conditions, transmission scheme will ensure successful transmission of critical messages to doctors via Global system for mobile (GSM) network.

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is often used to diagnose arrhythmias. “Temporal analysis and remote monitoring of ECG signal” is meant to acquire ECG signal from patient and analyze it to detect and classify its anomalies and abnormalities. This is achieved by extracting amplitudes and durations of parameters of ECG waveform such as P wave, QRS complex, RR interval and PR durations. These parameters are compared with the normal values to determine the type of abnormality. Database of the patient is maintained for further use by the doctor. Level shifted SPWM of a seven level cascaded multilevel inverter for STATCOM applications 用于STATCOM应用的7电平级联多电平逆变器的电平移位SPWM

Multilevel inverters had gain popularity over the years in industrial applications such as motor drives, static var compensators and renewable energy systems. Multilevel inverters have received this attention as it promises fewer disturbances and are capable to function at low switching frequency as compared to two level inverters. Out of many multilevel inverter topologies proposed, Cascaded Multilevel Inverter (CMI) features a high modularity degree because each inverter can be seen as a module with similar circuit topology, control structure and modulation. With large number of advantages, cascaded multilevel inverter has one major limitation of voltage unbalance across the dc capacitors. This paper explores basic structure and operating principle of cascaded multilevel inverter. Common modulation techniques are summarized. This paper also presents Phase Disposition (PD) and Phase Opposition Disposition (POD) SPWM techniques along with module voltage balancing algorithm such as sorting strategy for a cascaded multilevel inverter. The THD of PD and POD SPWM techniques are compared. For PD-SPWM technique, it is observed that the output voltage of inverter contains even harmonic components because of half wave unsymmetry in phase switching function.

Investigation of effect of surface failures on inner and outer race of bearing on vibration spectrum 轴承内外圈表面失效对振动谱的影响研究

The rolling element bearing is an important element used in rotating machinery. The performance of any mechanical system depends on condition of the bearing. Hence, to avoid failures condition monitoring of rolling element bearings is essential. In the present study, effect of surface failure on inner and outer race of bearing on vibration spectrum is proposed. The vibration spectrum is acquired for healthy bearing and bearing with surface failure failures on outer and inner race of bearing. The experimental study is carried out with various defect sizes on inner and outer race of bearing surface, at various shaft excitation frequencies. Vibration spectrums are acquired using a tri-axial shear type accelerometer (Type AC 102-A, SI.NO.66760) along with the photon+ (Bruel and Kajer) ultraportable dynamic signal analyser. The experimental results are compared with ball pass frequency of inner and outer race. It has been found that the percentage of errors is within permissible limit. Design optimization of front and rear aerodynamic wings of a high performance race car with modified airfoil structure 改进翼型结构的高性能赛车前后气动机翼设计优化

Formula Student Racing competitions are international events organized by Society of Automotive Engineers globally at various Formula SAE Circuits. Teams comprising of college students worldwide thrive to build a Formula style race car to compete at these events. In this high octane racing event every team tries to have an inch over their opponents by reducing lap timings. The best way for minimal lap timings is better performance along the straights and a good cornering. It becomes difficult for cars to get good traction when traveling at high speeds as well as they need to reduce their speeds drastically to take sharp corners. To maximize the performance of team NITK Racing car for such events an aerodynamic wings package at the front and the rear is proposed which produces sufficient down-force when accelerating in the straights as well as allowing sharp corners at relatively higher speeds. Being a student based competition intense amount of care is given to the safety precautions. Cars having sharp corners and protrusions are liable to be disqualified and hence the wing tip needs to be modified in order to satisfy the safety rules of the competition.
