The Coronavirus Pandemic has been one of the most devastating events mankind has been through. It remainincurable for months before a vaccine was found and a sense of relief generated in the minds of human beingsaround the world. The Covid-19 virus as named by W.H.O. led to lockdowns observed around the world countrywide. Countries later on came out of the lockdowns but still frequent number of coronavirus cases led to impositionof lockdowns and curfews again and again of shorter intervals. The paper aimed at discussing the root cause ofgreatest ever downfalls observed in the stock markets around the globe ends with a conclusion that factors likeincreased technology, greater awareness, connectivity, sense of fear, perception, economic expectations, etc. havebeen the major drivers to such sudden events.

FINANCIAL STATEMENT ANALYSIS THROUGH RATIO ANALYSIS OF SELECTED PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES

Financial statements are the mirror which reflects the financial position, strength and weakness of the company.Financial statements of the company helps to know how a business is doing and how it’s useful internally for acompany- stock holders and to its board of directors, its managers and some employees including labour unions, externally they are important to perspective investors, to government agencies responsible for taxing andregulating, to lenders such as banks and credit rating agencies & investment analysts & stock brokers. On the basisof financial Report here I compared the financial performance of the PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY, particularCADILA HEALTH CARE and SUN PHARMACEUTICAL companies through ratio analysis. The result indicates thatCadila is doing much better on its EPS, however, one warning from the FDA got both the companies on almost thesame track. Despite Cadila having higher numbers in the ratios and financials, we cannot help but notice thegreater and consistent rise in the financials and ratios of Sun Pharma. Sun Pharma is consistently almost constantor rising in terms of managing its working capital, unlike Cadila which has seen some abrupt changes. Both thecompanies have tried to keep debt lower than its equity, hinting at the fact that pharmaceutical companies do notwant timely interest obligation owing to their long cash conversion cycles and need of R&D.

Educational institution in India is currently based ontraditional methods of learning that is face to face learning in classroom. Few have started moving towards theblended system of learning. This pandemic challenged the education sector and is forced to move towards the e –learning. There has been a significant surge in usage of Technology such as audio, video, computer, tablets , mobiledevices, blogging, webcams, whiteboards, screen casting etc in learning since Covid-19. The paper focuses on willthis e-learning mean for the future, will it make part of new-normal. It studies the advantages such as costreduction, increase convenience and flexibility, improves employee knowledge, ease of content update anddisadvantages such as requirement of self-discipline and time management skills, diminished social interaction, notsuitable for every topic, lack of practice based learning, reliance on technology etc of e-learning. Further it studiesthe challenges ranging from learner’s issues, educators issue and content issues, challenges for institution toengage students and make them participate in teaching –learning process, challenges by teacher to move fromoffline mode to online mode, the lack of standard for quality, quality control, development of e-resource and econtent delivery ,it highlights the stipulations by government regulating e-learning, barriers in its implementation, ensuring the digital equity. Finally it ends with the conclusions and suggestions, how e-learning can be made bestefficient in this time of corona era.

In today’s era all the countries are interlinked with the web of globalization. Which means a small jerk in the foreign country leads to the great impact on the domestic country. The same incident happened in the history; better known as global crisis of United States of America. The crisis On Sept. 15, 2008, Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy. With $639 billion in assets and $619 billion in debt, Lehman's bankruptcy filing was the largest in history, as its assets far surpassed those of previous bankrupt giants such as WorldCom and Enron. Lehman was the fourth-largest U.S. investment bank at the time of its collapse, with 25,000 employees worldwide. Lehman's demise also made it the largest victim of the U.S. subprime-mortgage-induced financial crisis that swept through global financial markets in 2008. Lehman's collapse was a seminal event that greatly intensified the 2008 crisis and contributed to the erosion of close to $10 trillion in market capitalization from global equity markets in October 2008 – the biggest monthly decline on record at the time. In this paper an attempt is made to represent India being a part of globalization experienced what kind of impact on its manufacturing, agriculture and service sector.

Engaged Buddhism refers to Buddhists who are seeking ways to apply the insights from meditation practiceand dharma teachings to situations of social, political, environmental, and economic suffering and injustice. The Non-duality of Personal and Social Practice is making such engagement possible even today. Buddhistteachings themselves as the restrictive social conditions within which Asian Buddhism has had to function. Tosurvive in the often ruthless world of kings and emperors, Buddhism needed to emphasize itsotherworldliness. This encouraged Buddhist institutions and Buddhist teachings (especially regarding karmaand merit) to develop in ways that did not question the social order. In India today, Modern democracy andrespect for human rights, however imperfectly realized, offer new opportunities for understanding thebroader implications of Buddhist teachings. Furthermore, while it is true that the post/modern world is quitedifferent from the Buddha‟s, Buddhism is thriving today because its basic principles remain just as true aswhen the Buddha taught them.A classic case of engaged Buddhism in India is discussed in this paper which deliberates on the Dalit- Buddhistequation in modern India. For Dalits, whose material circumstances were completely different from thehigher castes, the motivation continually remained: to find out concerning suffering and to achieve its finish, inevery person‟s life and in society. Several of them have turned to Dhamma in response to the Buddha‟scentral message concerning suffering and therefore the finish of suffering.Previously lower-caste Hindus, the Indian Buddhists in Nagpur regenerate under the political influence ofBabasaheb Ambedkar, the author of India‟s constitution, to denounce caste oppression. They became Buddhistfor political and religious reasons, and today, the implications of their actions still unfold in some ways.Their belief in the four seals of Buddhism –• All physical things are impermanent,• All emotions are the reasons for pain,• All things don't have any inherent existence and• Nirvana is the moderation in life,Have created them renounce the atrocities and injustice of Hindu savarnas that were carried on since lastseveral centuries.

Furthermore, while it is true that the post/modern world is quite\u0000different from the Buddha‟s, Buddhism is thriving today because its basic principles remain just as true as\u0000when the Buddha taught them.\u0000A classic case of engaged Buddhism in India is discussed in this paper which deliberates on the Dalit- Buddhist\u0000equation in modern India. For Dalits, whose material circumstances were completely different from the\u0000higher castes, the motivation continually remained: to find out concerning suffering and to achieve its finish, in\u0000every person‟s life and in society. Several of them have turned to Dhamma in response to the Buddha‟s\u0000central message concerning suffering and therefore the finish of suffering.\u0000Previously lower-caste Hindus, the Indian Buddhists in Nagpur regenerate under the political influence of\u0000Babasaheb Ambedkar, the author of India‟s constitution, to denounce caste oppression. They became Buddhist\u0000for political and religious reasons, and today, the implications of their actions still unfold in some ways.\u0000Their belief in the four seals of Buddhism –\u0000• All physical things are impermanent,\u0000• All emotions are the reasons for pain,\u0000• All things don't have any inherent existence and\u0000• Nirvana is the moderation in life,\u0000Have created them renounce the atrocities and injustice of Hindu savarnas that were carried on since last\u0000several centuries.

Activity based costing is a system of allocating overheads to jobs, processes or products onthe basis of activities responsible for such expenses, instead of the traditional system, so thattrue and logical cost is obtained. According to traditional system, firstly the overheads areapportioned over various departments on some basis and then they are absorbed to theindividual product on the basis of direct wages or direct labour hours or direct machinehours etc. Suppose factory overheads are absorbed on the basis of machine hours, this is notlogical, because all factory overheads are not dependent on machine hours and so theoverheads allocated are incorrect and consequently the total cost and selling price based onsuch costs are all incorrect and illogical, which may put business into trouble. The overheadsare absorbed under Activity Based Costing on the basis of activities giving rise to overheads,e.g. to allocate the expenses of procurement of goods, it can be divided into three activitieslike placing an order, receipts and inspection, storage etc. The total overheads of all threeactivities are ascertained and are absorbed to various jobs, processes or products inproportion to the services which they received from these activities, e.g. the inspection costis absorbed on the basis of number of times the product is inspected, cost of placing an orderis allocated on the basis of number of times the orders were placed etc.
