A novel classification approach based on the principle of self and non-self discrimination by T cells in biological immune system is proposed in the paper. In order to classify the multi-class problems, the concepts of self and non-self in negative selection algorithm were redefined. The classifier consisted of different kinds of detector sets obtained from the algorithm. Each detector set is applicable for classification in a way that one class is distinguished from the others. The classifier is tested in the experiments on UCI dataset. The results show that our algorithm is useful for classification problems and comparable with other traditional classification methods.

A simplified embedded experiment platform is designed and implemented to facilitate learners. The platform is powered by a C8051F microprocessor, which is also equipped with a USB interface, a RS-232 interface, two 10-base T Ethernet interfaces, a 4*6 keyboard as well as a 6-bit LED display. Debugging can be achieved through the JTAG interface. Both the RS-232 interface and the Ethernet interfaces can be used to transmit data. Keyboard operation can be received through the keyboard interface. The tests show that the platform is running in good condition and it has been put into use.

This paper constructs 30 different S-boxes of Rijndael algorithm by MATLAB using 30 irreducible polynomials the maximum power of which is eight in GF(28). Emails play an important role in our daily life. It has been recognized that clustering emails into meaningful groups can greatly save cognitive load to process emails. Mailbox user becomes more and more concerned about how to organize and manage the emails as well as how to mine the meaningful data conveniently and effectively. This paper proposes a novel personal topics detection approach using clustering algorithm. First preprocess the emails and construct the improved email VSM(vector space model) to label the email combining the body and subject in a new method, then adopt the advanced k-means algorithm to cluster the emails and design a kernel-selected algorithm based on the lowest similarity, afterwards we get the appropriate keywords to label the topic of each cluster. Finally, experiments on 20Newsgruops email dataset show the validity of our approach and the experimental results also well match the labeled human clustering result.

Despite the increasing social demands for senior application-oriented talents, the corresponding training and education seems to be lagging far behind. Drawing on the experience of German project instruction, and our experiences in the mode of open-ended project-based instruction, we propose to implement the open-ended project-based instruction mode into experiment of university physics. Its content, characteristics, significance, as well as practical achievements are clearly demonstrated. We focus our research and analysis on the resources of experiment projects, organization, environment, and effectiveness of the open-ended project-based instruction. It is revealed that the unique characteristics of the open-ended project-based instruction is its open nature, which enables the students to freely and actively select the supervisors, partners, learning environment, as well as high-quality projects. It turns out that this instruction mode has achieved fruitful teaching accomplishments and a favorable social effect.
