Understanding Expectancy-Value Theory’s Cost Construct via Multidimensional Scaling 从多维尺度理解期望价值理论的成本建构

This study explored educational cost using a multidimensional scaling approach. Undergraduates rated how similar 11 items on task value and cost were with one another. Results show that cost has two dimensions, each consisting of two clusters. In one dimension, cost is separated from task value components; in the other, cost is clustered with task value components. Findings imply nuances of cost in the context of goal theory, motivation, and emotion.

Providing Quality Education to School-Age Children in Times of War in Ukraine: A Netnographic Analysis 在乌克兰战争时期为学龄儿童提供优质教育:一个网络分析

The main objective of this study is to clarify strategic directions aimed at adapting the system of general secondary education to new conditions of teaching and learning and minimising educational losses both in times of war and in the post-war period in Ukraine, on the one hand, and presenting and communicating our specific study to an international audience through describing main activities within each strategic direction identified, on the other hand. The authors employed a netnographic approach for collecting information posted on the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine’s official website on the topic of providing quality education to school-age children in war in Ukraine between February 24 and June 30, 2022. The data concerning providing quality education to school-age children in times of war in Ukraine were collected for more than four months, from February 24, 2022 to June 30, 2022. The authors selected 294 news posts that met the selection criteria for further analysis out of 824 news posts available on the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine website during the chosen period. Their analysis and summarisation enabled us to clarify eight main strategic directions, namely, official statements by the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, External Independent Assessment, support of the international community for providing educational opportunities to school-age children outside Ukraine, organising education in times of war, work with teachers in times of war, providing technical support to organising education, out-ofschool education, physical and sports education.

Methods of Forming the Future Designers’ Readiness for Professional and Scientific Research Activities 培养未来设计师为专业和科研活动做好准备的方法

The authors state that the rapid penetration of design into every field of human life, the convergence of material production with art, the development of design technologies, and increasing the social impact of design have significantly heightened professional requirements for modern designers. However, the modern system of design education does not prepare students for the challenges they will face in the nearest future. The methodological approaches necessary for improving future designers’ professional training quality are determined. The empirical investigations on the future designers’ readiness for professional and scientific research activities are analysed. Methods of boosting the future designers’ ability to carry out scientific research and organising professional design activities are offered.

Self-Efficacy in the Pre-Gradual Training of Occupational Subject Teachers 职业学科教师预渐进式培训中的自我效能感

The study presents a survey of perceived teacher self-efficacy on a sample of future and beginning Slovak secondary school teachers in two research approaches. The research aimed to find out the perceived professional proficiency of teacher students and future teachers in didactic readiness in the context of positive psychology. The obtained data from both groups were compared with foreign research results in this area.

From Facebook Toward the Metaverse – How the Future Educators Build Interpersonal Relationships Using Social Media 从Facebook到虚拟世界——未来的教育工作者如何利用社交媒体建立人际关系

At the threshold of emerging parallel immersive environments and metaverse worlds, the use of social media to build interpersonal relationships is a common phenomenon. This study aimed to diagnose, describe, and compare the use of social media to build and sustain interpersonal contacts and to refer to the level of interpersonal competences among students of pedagogical courses in two selected universities in Poland and Portugal. The studies were quantitative and employed the Interpersonal Competence Questionnaire by D. Buhrmester, W. Furman, M.T. Wittenberg and H.T. Reis, as well as the author’s own questionnaire. The analyses show that social media play a major role in building interpersonal relationships for Polish and Portuguese students in areas such as establishing new contacts, maintaining offline relationships, mutual learning and self-presentation. Non-face-to-face relations may interfere with establishing contact face to face. The analyses also show that the level of interpersonal competences among the respondents in terms of the skills and readiness to provide emotional support to others is differentiated by the way and scope of social media usage in the area under consideration. It can be assumed that in the group of respondents, the more they are willing and able to provide emotional support to others, the more effective and balanced way they use social media in building interpersonal relationships.

Civic Education for Democracy During Crisis : Measuring State Media Engagement 危机中的民主公民教育:衡量国家媒体参与

Informed by a research problem of explaining the relationships between the specificity of civic education and public support for authoritarian politicians, this paper aims to propose and test an analytical tool for measuring media engagement in civic education. It contributes methodologically to studies on civic education by delivering a tool that applies to identify and trace state media’s efforts to shape either democratic or autocratic citizenship models. Thereby, it allows monitoring current challenges to civic education for democracy in individual countries. The test contributes empirically to the studies on state-orchestrated civic education by revealing civic education for autocracy in pandemic-driven Poland. It enriches the knowledge of the use of Polish state media by the anti-democratic ruling actors to maintain the status quo.

Educational Space in a School in Kenya 肯尼亚一所学校的教育空间

The article describes a primary school in Kenya, where the school’s educational space was analysed in two respects: a) safety and comfort; b) knowledge and skills development, as part of ethnographic research. The research results indicate that the school needs a change in physical space, teaching aids, and greater pedagogical awareness among the teachers. The new education system introduced in Kenya requires much more funding to ensure proper learning conditions and continuing education for teachers. If this demand is met, the quality of the education process may improve.

Benefits and Limits of Flipped Classroom Implementation in Higher Education 高等教育实施翻转课堂的利弊

This theoretical study explores the flipped classroom concept as an innovative teaching method within higher education. The main aim is to present the benefits and limits of implementing the flipped classroom in the Czech higher educational context. The authors evaluate problematic areas of implementing the flipped classroom based on a content analysis of research studies from selected European countries and specify possible bottlenecks affecting its implementation in the Czech university environment. Referring to the results, the flipped classroom concept promotes student-centred learning, the activation and development of students’ competence to learn, but its effective implementation in the university environment is contextually conditioned.

The proposed paper presents the results of a research study on the perceived organisational climate in Slovak vocational schools. The authors focus on the association between school openness and the quality of social relationships within institutions as perceived by teachers. The adapted version of the OCDQ-RS scale by Hoy, Tarter, and Kottkamp (1991) was used in the research. The results show that intimate teacher behaviour and positive relationships at work are important for the perceived organisational climate, which is an important finding for school leaders, especially in the context of the leadership style they apply.
本文提出了一项关于斯洛伐克职业学校感知组织气候的研究结果。作者将重点放在学校开放与教师所感知的机构内社会关系质量之间的联系上。本研究采用Hoy, Tarter, and Kottkamp(1991)的OCDQ-RS量表改编版。结果表明,亲密的教师行为和积极的工作关系对感知的组织氛围很重要,这对学校领导者来说是一个重要的发现,特别是在他们所应用的领导风格的背景下。

Effects of Competency Programme for Understanding and Guiding Students with Learning Difficulties on Teacher Efficacy, Teaching Passion, and Empathy of Pre-Service Teachers 理解与引导学习困难学生胜任力计划对职前教师效能感、教学热情和共情的影响

Education for pre-service teachers should focus on developing the competencies necessary to understand and practice learners’ cognitive and emotional characteristics. In this study, after applying the competency programme for understanding and guiding students with learning difficulties to pre-service teachers, the effects of the programme on teacher efficacy, teaching passion, and empathy were verified. As a result, it was found that participating in the experimental group to which the competency programme was applied was more effective than the control group in enhancing teacher efficacy, teaching passion, and empathy of pre-service teachers, and discussion and suggestions were provided.
职前教师的教育应侧重于培养理解和实践学习者认知和情感特征所必需的能力。本研究将理解和引导学习困难学生的胜任力计划应用于职前教师,验证该计划对教师效能感、教学热情和共情的影响。结果发现,实验组在教师效能感、教学热情和职前教师共情方面比对照组更有效,并提出了讨论和建议。
