We consider empirical distribution functions of nonstationary time-series, depending on set length. The local self- consistent significance level is introduced. The class of time- series, for which the distribution function of significance level is stationary, is considered. For example, the signal-to-interference ratio for random walking subscribers in D2D model of wireless connection belongs to this class of random processes. We introduce also the so-called Chernoff equivalence of the self-consistent significance level and derive the formula of averaging levels for various sets.

This paper proposes a multilevel digital watermarking method (WF5) research concentrated on weighted container structure. The primary goal of the research is to find the way how to construct an optimal, efficient weighted container to make an embedding errors invisible. Two types of effective weighted container structures were investigated for color digital images: One Pixel-One Codeword (OP-OC) and One Pixel-Two Codeword (OP-TC) constructions. For both approaches, efficient weighted container structures (masks) that correspond with the Human Vision System (HVS) model were developed, and efficiency of WF5 Multi-Level Significant Bit (MLSB) information embedding algorithms were investigated for different types of digital images.

In the paper, the theory of pseudo-differential filters is examined and supported by designing a fourth-order frequency filter operating in current mode and implemented as cascade connection of two basic second-order blocks. The basic block employs three current conveyors as active elements and four passive elements. The filter is characterized by a high output impedance, and minimum number of passive elements, whereas capacitors are grounded. To prove the operability of the final filter, the partial second-order pseudo-differential filters were interconnected in four different ways. The simulation results of the each interconnection prove proper behavior of pseudo-differential filters in analogue signal processing.

Quadcopters are versatile unmanned aerial vehicles that operate in a variety of environments. In this paper we present the results of creating aflight controller for quadcopters based on an artificial neural network trained with genetic algorithms. The controller learns to stabilize a model of the craft and finds an optimal solution based on the custom scoring function. Experiments show better performance compared to manually tuned PID controllers, as well as faster convergence compared to traditional backpropagation learning methods.

The designing of multidimensional models of population dynamics taking into account the relations of competition and mutualism is described. The model examples in three-dimensional and four-dimensional cases are considered, qualitative and numerical investigation of deterministic models is carried out. The deterministic description of each model is given by the system of ordinary nonlinear differential equations. The transition to the corresponding multidimensional nondeterministic models defined by differential inclusions, fuzzy and stochastic differential equations is made, and stability analysis is performed. Synthesis of the stochastic models “competitor-competitor-mutualist” and “competitor-mutualist-competitor-mutualist” is carried out. The structure of multidimensional stochastic models with competition and mutualism is described, Fokker-Planck equations are written, the rules of the transition to stochastic multidimensional differential equations in the Langevin form are formulated. The comparative analysis of deterministic and stochastic models is carried out. The numerical experiment for the studied models has been carried out with the help of the developed software package for the numerical solution of the differential equations systems by Runge-Kutta stochastic methods. Algorithms for generating trajectories of the Wiener process and multipoint distributions and numerical algorithms of Runge-Kutta stochastic method are used. The numerical experiment in a number of cases showed a significant proximity of stochastic and deterministic dynamic models trajectories. The conditions under which the introduction of stochastics influences poorly the stability of the system and it is possible to consider its deterministic approach for the system studying.

In modern world Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) technologies have become the key enabler for a sheer diversity of the Internet of Things (IoT) applications involving massive deployment of resource-limited devices. In this paper we address the problem of improving the network scalability for one of the most widely used today licensee-free-band LPWAN technologies, named LoRaWAN. We show that the conventional method for assigning the spreading factor (SF) parameter to the devices in a LoRaWAN network, which effectively minimizes the consumption of individual devices, has some drawbacks when this comes to the scalability of the network as whole. Therefore, in this paper we propose another method of assigning the SFs to the nodes, which improves the probability of data delivery in an LPWAN at a cost of minor increase of the devices' consumption. The results of the conducted simulations confirm and characterize the utility of the proposed method.

The method of the effective Schrodinger equation applied to the one-dimensional problem of a moving particle in a potential box with a potential function and high-frequency time-dependent boundary conditions is investigated. The method of converting the initial equation written for a system with time-dependent boundary conditions to an equation describing a system in a constant region is briefly presented. The resulting system can be considered as a particle in a potential box, located in the field of some effective potential, different from the initial one. Next we consider a particular case of wall motion, with the subsequent construction of the effective Schrodinger equation. Rapid oscillations of the potential box as a whole (i.e., without changing its width) lead to an additional term in the effective equation proportional to the second derivative of the potential. This, in particular, can lead to the formation of potential wells at potential peaks in which bound states of a particle are possible. In the considered case, it was assumed that the oscillation amplitudes are small in comparison with the characteristic dimensions of the system.

There is no doubt that the IoT is a big revolution that has a great impact on our life. IoT provides the communication network for connecting physical objects (i.e. sensors and embedded systems). With the massive increase of IoT devices and the very high society impacts of the IoT including the wide range of applications predicted, the anti counterfeiting becomes an important issue. In this work, we mainly focus on this issue. DOA is a global system that enables the generation of digital objects with unique identifiers. Using DOA, we can identify any information and store it using a unique global identifier. We provide a framework for enabling and facilitating the use of DOA in IoT for anti counterfeiting. Cryptocurrency exchange platforms, which have appeared recently, provide exchanges between different types of cryptocurrencies as well as fiat money. Since multiple exchange platforms exist today, it is of essential importance to have timely information about user experience and the behavior of participants in such platforms. Trust is a notion that has been studied extensively in sociology, psychology, economics and compuer science, with an objective to provide measures for quantifying user behavior in specific social settings and contexts. While in the domain of online social networks, the trust has been thoroughly analyzed from various points of view, in cryptocurrency exchange platforms, the questions about quantifying the levels of emerging trust, are still open. In this work, we elaborate on quantifying trust in the context of cryptocurrency exchange platforms. We focus on two well known bitcoin exchange platforms: Bitcoin-OTC and Bitcoin-Alpha. Using the existing data about user ratings upon interactions in these two platforms, we show how trust is related with the network structure and how to identify communities where trust level is high among participants. Our results can serve as a basis for a strategy on how to interact within these platforms.

BPL (Broadband Power Line) adapters with Wi-Fi outputs are an appropriate way to implement access network in a home or office, especially in areas where wireless router signal does not reach. The TP-LINK TL-WPA8630P is a set of BPL adapters that allows the bandwidth to operate up to 1200 Mbps. These adapters are based on HomePlug AV2 specification. The first part of measurements focuses on throughput and comparison with Wi-Fi standards. The second part describes the results of radiated emissions measurement. The reason for the measurements is the proof of a suitable and usability of the BPL-based systems for alternative access network for Wi-Fi network.
