The theoretical and practical aspects are complemented in the university teaching, the experimental phase is required to understand abstract concepts such as electrical engineering. This paper presents the proposal of improvement for the structure of laboratory practices in phases: preliminary activities, experimental and final activities. Also intends with this work, provide aspects as structure a report and introduction to the use of simulation software in electric engineering.

Analysis from point of the view parents on mathematics learning using the grey systems theory 运用灰色系统理论从家长的角度分析数学学习

Mathematics is a topic very important to achieve success during education and for life. In this way, the factors that could influence on mathematics learning, from the point of the view of parents, were analyzed. The approach used in this study was the grey clustering method, which is based on the grey systems theory. The case study was conducted in Lima, Peru. The sample of parents was obtained at the final stage of national competition of mathematics, commonly called CONAMAT, carried out after of previous stages of classification. The parents were divided in two groups, primary education parents and secondary education parents. The results revealed that the factor more important that influenced on the preference from students for mathematics learning were the vocation from students to sciences and the motivation from students to mathematics. The results of this study could help to mathematics teacher or educational authorities from Peru to make the best decision on mathematics teaching and learning. Moreover, the grey clustering method showed its effectiveness during the application on the case study, and it could be applied to other studies from social sciences or educational sciences, as the grey clustering method considers the uncertainty within its analysis.

Strategies for Good Performance of Project Based Learning Methodology 基于项目的学习方法的良好绩效策略

The study objective is to determine satisfaction level of the developed classes with energy engineering students, using a Project-Based Learning method. It was used as research methodology, surveys, which were taken by all students at the end of each class in a period of three consecutive academic semesters 2017–2018. Evaluation was made to 15 students of which 27% are women. Qualification was of the qualitative type and all of them considered that course topics have practical applicability in their professional career, which is aligned with PBL methodology. Of 135 answers to each of the 5 questions that in a total make 675 answers, 50% were Excellent, 44% Good and only 6% considered Normal, and in no case did they consider need to improve. This paper makes reference to different strategies applied. PBL methodology allows students to feel empowered in teaching-learning process, through their opinions, conduction of activities, reflection, teamwork, etc.

Workshop: Challenges in Postgraduate thesis writing in Engineering and Computer careers. Students' and teachers' perspectives 工作坊:工程与计算机专业研究生论文写作的挑战。学生和老师的观点

Although writing constitutes a fundamental facet of university life, its approach varies across the disciplines. Disciplinary trajectories comprise different use, formats and ways of expressing its arguments in written form which are also associated with certain learning styles. In the case of Engineering careers, previous studies refer to a laboratory or practical report, the definition of a mechanism, or a technological development project as their typical communication models, and practice, the use of models and the sequence of instructions as their preferred learning style. In the scope of this workshop, we propose some contents and activities to overcome the challenge of a postgraduate thesis writing from the perspective of Engineering students and teachers/supervisors according to their needs.

Operational Research and Machine Learning: An Engineering Course 运筹学与机器学习:工程课程

In this work, we integrate computational techniques based on machine learning (ML) and computational intelligence (IC) to conventional methodologies used in the Operational Research (OR) degree course for Engineers. That synergy between those techniques and methods allows students to deal with complex problems. The main contribution of this paper is to present a different proposal for OR courses using the synergy between mathematical models employing computer simulations, IC and different hybrid models.

Through an Agnostic Programming Languages Methodology for Plagiarism Detection in Engineering Coding Courses 基于不可知论编程语言的工程编码课程抄袭检测方法

Nowadays all engineering students must possess coding skills in several programming languages. Regrettably, students do not perceive the importance of such skills often. Instead, they look for risky shortcuts to accomplish projects or homework in programming courses by copying the code from their colleagues or internet sources. Therefore, in programming languages courses it is necessary to identify this kind of activity well known as plagiarism. The idea behind plagiarism detection is to correct this attitude, raise the morale of the course and show the importance of programming for the training of the future engineer. In the present effort, we develop an automatic, fast and efficient methodology to detect code plagiarism without the professor intervention or code comparison. The results seem promising since the applied mythology detected plagiarism that was confirmed by students afterwards.

Plenary: The Challenge of Innovating in the Education of Engineers in Argentina 全体会议:阿根廷工程师教育创新的挑战

New technological, pedagogical, normative and social paradigms and scenarios at a local and global level appeal to education in general and engineering in particular. These new paradigms and dynamic scenarios need institutions of higher education with management of innovation and change to educate better engineers as society demands. In recent years, CONFEDI has been working on situation diagnosis, analysis of indicators and relevant aspects of changes, agreements for paradigm shift from political and conceptual point of views, design of a formal framework of quality assurance (Red Book of 2nd. Generation Standards for Engineering Degrees), strengthening of institutional capabilities for the paradigm shift, among other aspects. This presentation reviews and relates all these aspects in order to define a scenario and a series of challenges that the Schools of Engineering of Argentina had to master to make the paradigm shift (inherently complex) and is an opportunity for innovation.

Implementation of Instruments to Measure Mood and Binge Eating Disorder in Medical Undergraduate Programs Using Predictive Software 使用预测软件测量医学本科课程中情绪和暴食症的工具实施

Mental health is considered one of the priorities in government programs carried out by public health operators. Particularly in those countries where there is a significant young population, these programs would have as their goal the control and permanent surveillance or other tangible actions that lead to the continued care of this population since this sector would play a crucial role in the productive development of a society. In this paper the importance in the construction of instruments that measure eventual anomalous situations in young university students from the angle of clinical psychology is emphasized. Essentially we focus on the emergence of disorders of eating behavior derived from various psycho-social factors and personality traits. In this way the present paper contributes by proposing a questionnaire as well as testing its validity and reliability using the modern techniques of statistics and computational simulation.

Reflective experiences in a General Chemistry course for Engineers: self-assessment, improvement and academic performance 工程师普通化学课程的反思经验:自我评估、改进与学习成绩

One of the key components in the development of holistic professionals in the field of engineering is to promote soft skills. Among those soft skills, students are challenged to achieve a competence by recognizing the need for lifelong learning. Our institution fosters the incorporation of these competencies from the first day of class. In the General Chemistry course, students are required to reflect on their learning progress after each exam. A taxonomy of reflection was incorporated to monitor students ‘progress in their reflective skills as well as their academic progress. Each level of reflection is structured to parallel Bloom's taxonomy and to support mastery of a new skill. The content of the reflection, analyzed by a searching tool, is later compared to the final grade of students. The present work looks to understand if there is any relationship between the level of reflection and academic performance in General Chemistry students.

Collaborative methodology and ICTs for Math Learning in undergraduate students 协作方法和信息通信技术在大学生数学学习中的应用

Since its creation in 2002, the students of Micaela Bastidas National University of Apurímac-UNAMBA, have registered discouraging results in mathematics subjects. This paper describes the use of active procedures (collaborative method) in mathematics learning and teaching processes. This proposal was evaluated by two teachers and 54 undergraduate students of Mathematics at the Professional School of Administration-UNAMBA. The results show that using the collaborative methodology and ICT tools, the students have greatly improved the quality of learning. Qualitative results show that in the interviews with students they think that the collaborative approach helps them to improve their knowledge, learn in a funny way with their classmates, and teacher uses the ICT resource to create and post the videos on YouTube. The quantitative results show that the students improve their score average from 7.28 to 9.92. Teachers agree with the methodology, but they think that it is required more time to teach in the classroom.
