Objectives: to investigate the influence of Instructional Therapeutic Play on salivary cortisol levels in children undergoing peripheral venipuncture.
Methods: randomized controlled clinical trial, allocated into two groups: Intervention and Control, conducted in pediatric inpatient units, children's emergency rooms, and outpatient clinics of two hospitals in the city of São Paulo. A sample of 52 children, both genders, aged between 3 and 12 years, underwent venipuncture and were able to play. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with a 5% significance level and a 95% confidence interval.
Results: cortisol levels decreased in both groups, but less so among children who did not receive the toy intervention, remaining lower for those who did receive the intervention, and among those who were successfully punctured on the first attempt.
Conclusions: although the null hypothesis was confirmed in this study, the use of Therapeutic Play for stress relief is recommended.

Objective: to describe scientific evidence of self-care games for people with intestinal stomas.
Methods: a scoping review that included original, review, experimental, exploratory, descriptive, analytical, quasi-experimental, and experimental articles. Editorials, letters to the editor, abstracts, opinion pieces, duplicates, and studies involving animals or cadavers were excluded. The articles followed the following stages: export to Mendeley software; exclusion of duplicates; screening; test investigation; full-text reading; eligibility assessment; reference search; and article inclusion. Data extraction was conducted in accordance with JBI, which served as the basis for assessing methodological quality.
Results: a total of 645 articles were identified, leaving two articles included. Article 1 consisted of a card game for adults, with probing questions about handling and maintenance. Article 2, a smartphone app called StoMakker, was for children and adolescents.
Conclusions: we identified a lack of articles addressing the topic and the need to expand publications and develop these playful activities.

Objectives: to identify elements that can foster ethical-professional education in nursing, based on the grounds for complaints in ethical disciplinary proceedings in Santa Catarina (2017-2021).
Methods: a qualitative document-based study was carried out with data from 178 nursing ethical disciplinary proceedings, considering 33 grounds for complaints grouped into nine subcategories: Iatrogenic harm, Professional disagreements, Crimes, Assaults, Unauthorized practice, Use of social media, Inadequate medical record documentation, Unprofessional behavior, and Abandonment of duty. Content analysis was applied to systematize the data.
Results: the articulation between the grounds for complaints and the socioemotional competencies of Education 5.0 revealed that strengthening these competencies may prevent unethical conduct and help identify elements to improve ethical-professional education.
Final considerations: the socioemotional competencies of Education 5.0 equip nurses with essential skills, suggesting an innovative path to reduce errors and promote a more ethical and responsible professional practice.

Objectives: to describe the formative research carried out during the implementation of respondent driven sampling to assess human papillomavirus prevalence among gay men, men who have sex with men, and female sex workers in Brazil.
Methods: meetings were held between the study team, healthcare professionals, and representatives of social movements. Two capital cities from each region of Brazil were included between 2018 and 2021, totaling 11 meetings.
Results: the discussions addressed logistical feasibility, the definition of incentives and benefits, the selection of seeds, and expectations regarding recruitment.
Final considerations: formative research is essential for developing studies that use the respondent-driven sampling method, as the involvement of target population representatives supports the collection of information on their specific characteristics.
