Objective: To develop and validate a mobile application for health education about sepsis.
Method: Methodological study composed of two stages. Firstly, information from the Latin American Sepsis Institute and Global Sepsis Alliance was used, followed by putting together, design and layout of the application, according to the agile development model proposed by Sommerville. In the second stage, content validation occurred with 20 health professionals with expertise in the areas of intensive care and sepsis, from the use of the Instrument for Validation of Educational Content in Health through analyzing objectives, structure and relevance; and it was considered valid the item with a minimum agreement of 80%, by binomial test.
Results: The app presents 15 screens that encompass prevention measures, recognition and early identification of sepsis, illustrated by interactive images. Out of the 18 items evaluated in the validation process, the minimum agreement obtained was 0.95 and the average validation index was 0.99.
Conclusion: The application was developed and considered valid by the referees regarding contents. Thus, it is an important technological resource for health education in prevention and early identification of sepsis.

Objective: To analyze the migratory process, ways of living, and working conditions of Haitians residing in the municipality of Cascavel, Paraná, as well as their impact on health conditions, consumption patterns, and political and ideological life.
Method: cross-sectional observational design. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews conducted from December 2019 to December 2020 with 128 participants who were Haitian immigrants residing in the municipality. Simple descriptive statistics were used for the data analysis, and the findings were discussed in conjunction with relevant literature, with the social determination theory serving as a reference.
Results: The majority of participants were male 75.0% (n = 96), young adults 71.0% (n = 91), speakers of two or more languages 87.5% (n = 112), catholic 61.7% (n = 79), high school education or higher 57.0% (n = 73). They consider their life and health conditions good but are unsatisfied with the working conditions and salary.
Conclusion: Haitian immigrants' arrival facilitation to work in cold stores may indicate labor exploitation of economically and socially vulnerable groups. Immigration policies and the recognition of the educational level of their country of origin may contribute to improving the living condition of this population.

Objective: To verify the association between sociodemographic, clinical, environmental, cognitive, and emotional factors and the decision time of people with ischemic stroke to seek a health service after the onset of symptoms or wake up stroke.
Method: Cross-sectional study carried out from March to October 2019, with 304 patients, in a public hospital, a reference in neurology. Data obtained through interview and from medical records. Decision time was analyzed as a geometric mean. In the bivariate and multivariate analyses, linear regression was used and the Akaike Information Criterion was used to select the best model. Statistical significance of 5% was adopted.
Results: The geometric mean of decision time was 0.30h (95% CI 0.23-0.39). The final model explained this time in 41%, showing an increase of 0.5 min for people with arterial hypertension; 10.8 min for those who waited for symptoms to improve; 1.4 min for those who were alone at the onset of symptoms; 3.9 min for those at home; 3.2 min for the ones at work; and 2.1 for those on the street/public space.
Conclusion: The mean decision time for seeking a health service was high and influenced by clinical, environmental, cognitive, and emotional variables. The results guide nurses regarding health education.

Objective: To analyze the effectiveness of an educational video on deaf people's knowledge and skills about cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Method: A randomized trial, carried out at three schools with 113 deaf people (control group = 57 and intervention group = 56). After the pre-test, the control group was exposed to the lecture, while the intervention group was exposed to the video. The post-test occurred immediately after the intervention and was repeated after 15 days. A validated instrument was used, with 11 questions, presented in video/Libras (to enable understanding by deaf people) and in written/printed form (to record the answers).
Results: In the analysis of knowledge, the median of correct answers in the pre-test was similar between the groups (p = 0.635), while the intervention group had a higher accuracy in the immediate post-test (p = 0.035) and after 15 days (p = 0.026). In the skill analysis, the median of correct answers in the pre-test was higher in the control group (p = 0.031). There was no difference in the immediate post-test (p = 0.770), and there was a higher accuracy in the intervention group in the post-test after 15 days (p = 0.014).
Conclusion: The video proved to be effective in increasing deaf people's knowledge and skills about cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Brazilian Registry of Clinical Trials: RBR-5npmgj.

Objective: To understand nursing team professionals' strategies to include the family in painful procedures performed on hospitalized children.
Method: An exploratory-descriptive, qualitative study, carried out with nursing professionals. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, guided by a script of topics, transcribed and submitted to thematic content analysis, in the light of Symbolic Interactionism, discussed considering the Family-Centered Care philosophy assumptions.
Results: Two central categories emerged, "Theoretical perspective: the family as a care agent in painful procedures" and "Practical perspective: experiences, challenges and strategies in painful procedures for family inclusion", with their respective subcategories.
Conclusion: Nursing professionals have theoretical knowledge about family inclusion in painful procedures based on the assumptions: Family-Centered Care: dignity and respect; information sharing; joint participation; and family collaboration. However, knowledge is not applied in clinical practice; consequence of the interaction between beliefs and attitudes unfavorable to family presence.

Objective: To know emotional exhaustion in nursing students from four universities.
Method: Cross-sectional, correlational study, carried out in Chile and Spain (2017-2018), with 1,368 students answering a self-applied instrument (sociodemographic/academic variables and the Emotional Exhaustion scale). Analysis with Stata 15, according to variables: Chi2 tests, Wilcoxon rank sum test (Mann Whitney U test), analysis of variance and multiple regression; confidence level 95% and significance 5% (p < 0.05). Approved by the Ethics Committee, Universidad de Girona.
Results: Academic variables and perceived stress with Quite Much/Much classification: Exams, Problem-Based Learning, Laboratory/Simulation. Statistically significant differences in emotional exhaustion, according to sex, dependent people, workers, commuting time >30 minutes. Greater emotional exhaustion when taking courses for the second time and in academic activities where they declare perceived stress as Quite Much/Much (p < 0.005).
Conclusion: All students present mean level of emotional exhaustion (>26 and <37 points). The variables sex and having dependents are relevant aspects. Stress perceived by methodologies is significantly related to levels of emotional exhaustion.
