: Field experiments were carried out at the experimental farm of Etay-El-Baroud Agricultural Research Station, Beheira Governorate, Egypt, during the 2021 season to evaluate the efficiency of four neonicotinoids compounds [Thiamethoxam (Actara 25% WG), Imidacloprid (Pestidor 25% WP), Acetamiprid (Mosiplan 20% SP), and Thiacloprid (Calypso SC 480)] on whitefly ( Bemisia tabacion ) stages in tomato. These compounds were assessed as commercial formulation sizes using the recommended dose against whitefly stages on tomato for comparison between four sprays and their residues in leaves after different periods of application. The effects of all insecticidal treatments on the natural population of whitefly stages (nymphs and adults) were recorded as the reduction percentage of whitefly population stages at 2, 5 and 7 days after the first, second, third and fourth sprays in the field. In general, the obtained results indicate that all tested treatments decreased the whitefly population stages (nymphs and adults) compared to the control.

Nano - emulsions of essential oils (NEOs) are a promising application in controlling plant pathogens, it also increases the antimicrobial properties. In this research, nano-emulsion essential oils of Clove, Rose and Bergamot were prepared and tested as potential antifungal agent at various concentrations of active ingredient against the growth of Botrytis cinerea isolate (BC4) and to control strawberry grey mold as post-harvest disease. Results indicated that Clove nano-emulsion was the most effective to completely inhibited the growth and sporulation of B. cinerea isolate, (BC4) at even the low concentration of 80 µll -1 for the growth and at concentration of at 50 µll -1 for sporulation tested fungus. Clove and Rose NEOs at both concentrations (100 µll -1 and 80 µll - 1) completely inhibited grey mold disease incidence at 7 days after fridge storage, However, Bergamot NEO consistently showed lower effect. In general, treatments with the tested nano-essential oils (NEOs) significantly maintained physical and chemical characteristics, i.e ., moisture content, weight loss, titrable acidity and ascorbic acid content of the treated strawberry fruits which inoculated with B. cinerea isolate (BC4), at the three periods of the fridge storage compared to the only inoculated fruits with fungus isolate as the control. Regarding the moisture

The change detection of land use land cover provides decision makers with essential information to environmental management. This study aims to assess the changes of different land use land cover classes for the Northwest coast of Egypt during the period from 2003 to 2022 using remote sensing and GIS techniques. For this purpose, two ASTER images (2003 and 2010) and two sentinal-2 images (2016 and 2022) were downloaded and used. The visual interpretation classification method was used in ArcGIS software for images classification. Ground check of image classification was elaborated by Google earth and field observations. The results indicated that the elevation ranges from zero to 151 m Above Sea Level, most of the studied area lied in the flat sloping class. The area had no dominant aspect class. The changes of land cover use, 2003 to 2022, reflected by a steady increase of agricultural and urban areas vs a continuous decrease in bare soil and carbonate rocks. The agricultural soil increased from 2.32% (1494.87 ha) to 47.47% (30616.72 ha), whereas urban areas increased from 3.45% (2223.07 ha) to 6.12% (3946.07 ha), also salt marshes increased from 0.44% (238.11 ha) to 0.74% (477.41 ha). This increase was on the count of bare soil decreasing by 51.50% and carbonate rocks by 0.76. As for, greenhouses class was not found in the study area until 2016, but it appeared in 2022 as a new project
