This study investigated the influence of project planning on implementation of road construction projects in Kilifi County. The target population comprised of 150 with a sample size of 109. The study focused on the project management team, monitoring officers, project engineers, financial officers and auditors and consultants and contractors. This study adopted descriptive research design. Stratified random sampling method was used to select relevant respondents from across the board in the various categories of the three roads agencies in Kilifi County. Structured questionnaires were used to collect primary data from respondents. Secondary data was obtained from related materials in the internet, project management journals, white papers, periodicals and books relevant to the study. Quantitative data was analyzed using SPSS version 25. Descriptive statistics was used and multiple regression analysis was used to predict the effect of project schedule, project budget, project quality and project communication on implementation of road construction projects in Kilifi County. Based on the findings, r egression and spearman’s correlation results indicated that there is a positive and significant relationship between project schedule, project budget, project quality, project communication and implementation of road construction projects in Kilifi County. The study recommended that the application of CPM as a simple network and resource-loading could help to reduce construction project delays. Secondly, cost overruns should be traced back to root causes that are often associated with the preliminary phases, project planning or design, that such root causes include; poor estimation of quantities, design variations or errors, project schedule changes, scope changes, unexpected site conditions, rising costs of materials and labour and or unforeseen events. Thirdly, part of the audit should include a review of the project staff understanding of the quality parameters or metrics and skills expertise and knowledge of the people in charge of producing or delivering the project. Lastly, project team members should use a variety of communication methods to deliver project information, including meetings, telephone calls, email, voicemail and websites. Over the past two decades, Rwanda's economy has experienced significant growth in infrastructure development and policy improvements. This growth has been accompanied by an increase in foreign investment, with companies expanding their operations in the country. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is a critical area of interest for many developing countries, as it brings economic benefits to the host nation. In emerging economies, such as Rwanda, the renewable energy sector has played a critical role in driving economic growth. Despite the global property market experiencing a bubble, the renewable energy market has remained strong, with demand for middle to high-income housing remaining steady. This study focused on the effect of FDI on the financial performance of the energy sector in Rwanda, with MOBISOL Rwanda Ltd as the case study. The study examined how corporate governance elements, trade openness, market size, return on investment, exchange rate, and inflation affect the financial performance of the energy sector in Rwanda. The study utilized a descriptive research design to investigate the financial performance of the energy sector in Rwanda, with MOBISOL Rwanda Ltd as the case study. The target population consisted of 112 employees of MOBISOL, which has significant foreign ownership in Rwanda. The sample size was determined using stratified random sampling, and 88 respondents were selected for the study. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the data, with the arithmetic mean and standard deviation used to analyze descriptive data. Additionally, inferential statistics were utilized to find correlations among the explanatory variables. Pearson's product moment correlation and stepwise regression were used to examine the relationship among variables. F-tests were used to test the hypotheses in the study. To ensure the validity of the statistical analysis, tests of statistical assumptions were conducted prior to data analysis. The study used SPSS Statistics Version 21.0 software to facilitate data analysis. Descriptive statistics such as frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviations were used to analyze the data, while inferential statistics were conducted using Spearman rank correlation coefficient and multiple regression. The findings of the study were presented in tables, providing clear insights into the relationship between variables. The main objective of this study was to find out the effect of health supply chain in facilitating Universal Health Coverage in Kenya. Specifically, the study identified the effect of Inventory Optimization, Supply Chain Data Analytics, Supply Chain Integration and the influence of Strategic Purchasing on the achievement of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in Kenya. The research design employed in this study was descriptive. This study relied heavily on secondary data as is the case with most desktop research study. The study reviewed journal articles, unpublished papers and conference papers on Supply Chain Management and Universal Health Coverage. The paper employed a desktop approach to provide answers to the research objectives. Specifically, the paper used a descriptive approach to gather information from peer reviewed publications such as, journal articles, organizations reports and books. The study found that the attainment of UHC in Kenya had remained elusive due to many challenges, which included unequal access to different healthcare services due to poor distribution and use of resources, shortfall in the number of medical personnel, skewed distribution of healthcare workforce, inability of the country’s health system to deal effectively with epidemics, corruption in the health sector, the growing burden of chronic diseases, epidemiological as well as a demographic transition with a steep increase among non-communicable diseases (NCDs), health leadership and governance issues, the need to strengthen health purchasing activities, among other myriads of issues. The study recommended that policy makers must purpose to implement strategies to deliver UHC. They must also undertake health financing reforms to mobilize more financing for health and ensure that available funds for health are used optimally and equitably. The state should reorient its health financing strategy away from a focus on contributory, voluntary health insurance, and instead recognize that increased healthcare funding is critical. Panya, K. This study was undertaken on employee motivation and performance of health institutions in Nyeri County, Kenya. The study was guided by Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Theory, Herzberg’s Two Factor Theory, Equity Theory and Vroom’s Theory. Descriptive survey research design was used, with a population of 1224 employees in the identified health institutions in Nyeri County. Stratified sampling method was used to identify sample representing 30% of the target population. A self-administered questionnaire was used in the study. The data collected was analyzed by descriptive statistics and presented through tables and charts with the aid of micro soft excel software. The study found that the capacity development, performance appraisal, working environment and staffing policy was found to have a positive significant influence on performance of health institutions in Nyeri County, Kenya. The study concluded that capacity development enhances the employee motivation, job performance and skills which ultimately lead to organizational performance. Performance appraisal is a method widely used by the health institutions to measure the employee added value and the capacity to achieve their objectives. A healthy work environment keeps employees happy, improves concentration and boosts endurance. Staffing policy helps in getting right people for the right job at the right time. The study recommended that the health institutions on Nyeri County should provide training to employees either on a one-on-one or group training, whether face-to-face or online, can increase personal knowledge and skills surrounding an issue. The health institutions in Nyeri County should make the performance appraisal process clear to employees by communicating this to employees at the start of the year, giving them the opportunity to plan ahead, pose questions, and work towards the organizational objectives in their individual capacity. The health institutions in Nyeri County should work to create a culture that encourages employees to talk openly about how they feel, both with their co-workers and line managers. The health institutions in Nyeri County should adopt an institution staffing mentality which creates the framework for consistently applied practices by standardizing policies across the organization. Purpose : The fast food sector is one industry that is contributing positively to the world economy. Notwithstanding, consumers of fast food are worried about the quality, safety, and consistency in taste, as well as demand for better quality at lower prices which thus affects the sales of fast food products. The old brands have become less competitive due to changes in consumers’ preferences, less patronage, and low consumption of fast food, as newer operators introduce a range of innovative products and this has put the sustainability of projected growth performance in sales at risk of uncertainty. Hence, this study examined the effect of product perception dimensions on consumer consumption patterns of fast foods. Methodology : The study adopted a survey research design. For this study, 1,595 eat-in consumers were selected by convenient sampling technique to participate in the survey. Findings : The findings revealed that product perception dimensions have a significant effect on consumer consumption patterns of selected fast-food restaurants. Recommendations : Business managers should pay attention to these factors to enhance the consumption pattern of fast food by consumers, and thus enhance the growth and sustainability of the fast food industry in Nigeria.
