In this study, a copper oxide (CuO) thin film was prepared by the (Continuous-Wave) CW laser assisted-chemical bath deposition (LACBD) technique. The effect of laser wavelength on the structural, optical, and electrical properties of CuO film was investigated. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) study shows that the deposited CuO films are crystalline with a monoclinic structure. The optical energy gap increases with the use of a laser during film preparation and it varies from 2.3 to 1.8 eV. The scanning electron microscope (SEM) images confirm that the morphology of the film was dependent on the laser wavelength. Increasing the laser wavelength results in decreasing the grain size of the film which enhancing the crystallization. Energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis confirms the presence of copper and oxygen elements. Hall measurement revealed that the deposited films are p-type and the electrical conductivity and mobility increased with the use of a laser. The current-voltage characteristics of the p-CuO/p-Si heterojunction were studied in the dark and under illumination. The maximum optical current of the prepared photodetector at a laser wavelength of 550 nm was found to be in the order of 1.59 × 1012 cm.Hz1/2.W-1. The spectral responsivity revealed that the photodetectors exhibit two peaks of response at 450 nm and 800 nm. The maximum responsivity reached was 0.48 A/W at 450 nm and 0.53 A/W at 800 nm for a photodetector prepared at the laser wavelength of 550 nm.

The study was conducted in the city of Tikrit during the period from September 2021 to September 2022. A total of 228 samples were collected from children attending Salah El-Din General Hospital. The samples were divided into two groups: children and the control group. Routine tests are used initially to confirm Helicobacter pylori infection. Including blood and stool tests. The measurement of selenium and magnesium was performed using the atomic absorption technique. Interleukin-10 was also detected, and the results of the study showed a significant decrease in selenium (73.8500 ± 3.88350 and magnesium (.7700 ± .24730), and IL-10 recorded a high level among the patients who were examined (8.18391 (134,3500 ±). At any level Likelihood (0.05) In conclusion, some trace elements as well as some immunological parameters should be monitored regularly and a patient with H. pylori should receive an adequate intake of food.

In order to get rid of or reduce the abnormal values of some phenomena that may be the reason for not obtaining the desired results. This makes us to get conclusions far from reality for the phenomenon we are studying. That the traditional nonparametric estimators are very sensitive to anomalous values, which prompted us to use the fortified estimators because they are not much affected by the anomalous values, as well as the nonparametric regression because it does not depend on the previous determinants or assumptions, but it depends directly and fundamentally on the data.

An Engineering study was carried out for five stations in the Lower Zab basin, southwest of Kirkuk, to determine the viability of the Quaternary age sediments for concrete works. The geotechnical evaluation results included that the coarse aggregate's grain size analysis is identical to the gradient class (63.0 mm) according to the [1] classification. As for the gradation of fine aggregate for the sediments of the study area, the results of the granular gradient of the samples after matching them with the limits of AASHTO specification showed that they are identical to the specification with slight differences on some sieves. The elongation and flatness tests showed that the highest percentage of the longitudinal shape is (19.2%) and flat-shaped particles is (28.8%), within permissible limits according to British standard [2], the specific gravity for coarse aggregate was between (2.60 - 2.64) and saturated specific gravity (2.61 - 2.65), and the values of specific weight for fine soil ranged from (2.72 - 2.64) which is suitable for use in concrete works. The results of the laboratory test of the durability tests - The Los Angeles test for the samples showed that the highest percentage for weight loss was (20%), which is suitable for use in the concrete according to the Iraqi standard [3], the results of the laboratory test for stability showed that the percentage of weight loss for coarse aggregate (gravel) by the effect of sodium sulfate solution and for the number of 5 cycles of the samples ranged between (8.3% - 4.1%), which is valid for use in concrete works according to the American specification [4]. The results of the resistance tests - the point load test for stations (S1, S3, S4) within the classification range of very strong - extremely strong, and the two stations (S2, S5) within the class strong - very strong - extremely strong compared to the classification of [5], and they are good for concrete works. It was found from the results of the chemical tests the gypsum content, organic matter content, Total soluble salts, and the sulfate content of the samples of the study area are suitable to for concrete works according to British Standard [6], which is suitable for concrete works, testing the compressive strength of concrete cubes ranged between (24.93 - 18.22 MPa) for age seven days and ranged between (33.02 - 29.76 MPa) for 28 days for reference mixture, Which is (4:2:1 by weight). According to the Iraqi standard specification [7], the compressive strength values of the samples are suitable for regular unreinforced concrete, and in comparison with [8] classification, it was apparent that the concrete produced is of moderate endurance. And suitable for concrete works According to [9].

The current study was conducted in Kirkuk city at Al-Shifaa 14 hospital from November 2021 to March 2022, indicated the bacteria causing secondary pneumonia isolated from severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) patients and the role of IL-6 and IL-17 in these infection. Sputum samples were used to obtain the bacterial isolates, and API testing was used to confirm the species level identification. Using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sandwich ELISA), the levels of IL-6 and IL-17 in the blood were evaluated. The study documented several bacterial species in a single infection (56/87.5%) or mixed bacterial infection (8/12.5%). The most common isolated bacteria species was Klebsiella pneumoniae (35.95%) followed by Staphylococcus aureus (31.25%), E. coli (17.19%), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (10.94%), and (1.56%) for each of Klebsiella oxytoca, Acinetobacter baumannii and Cronobacter sakazakii. The study recorded a high significant difference (P <0.01) between the patients (22.2±6.82) pg/mL and the control group (58.39±11.15) pg/ mL concerning IL-6 also a high significant difference (P <0.01) between the patients (101.79±27.13) pg/mL and the control group (58.39±11.15) pg/mL concerning IL-17. In conclusion, K. pneumoniae and S. aureus were the predominant isolated bacteria from COVID-19 patient's lung and there was a highly significant increase in IL-6 and IL-17 levels in secondary bacterial pneumonia in COVID-19 patients.

The study have been done to detect Human Respiratory syncytial virus (HRSV) infections among hospitalized children under 5 years old in Beiji city Salah-Aldin Governorate, in addition to identify the risk factors associated with the virus. Whole blood samples were taken from 300 hospitalized children between the end of October 2021, to the end of June 2022, each sample was analyzed for HRSV by immunoglobulin M (IgM) specific to HRSV determining from blood specimens in serum using enzyme-linked immune sorbent assay (ELISA) technique. Of the 300 serum samples, Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) was found in 120 (40%), 63 (42%) females, and 57 (38%) males. The age group was more susceptible to infection between 7-12 months for RSV at a rate of 25%. The study revealed that 61.66% of children exposed to smoke from one or both parents was positive for RSV, while 38.33% showed negative results for the presence of RSV. Considering the type of feeding, the current study showed that RSV infection was demonstrated in a higher percentage in patients with bottle feeding 60%, while a low percentage was demonstrated in patients with breastfeeding at 13.3%. Our results indicated the prevalence of RSV among children after imposing vaccination and reducing non-pharmaceutical interventions.
