With the rapid development of computer technology, many kinds of monitor and analysis devices such as power quality monitor, fault record, fault detection and other device can be integrated into one device by a computer for electric distribution. And it will look very expedient and can complete all of the work in electric distribution. In this paper, a kind of method to design such multifunctional device called multi-function measure control analyzing device employed in electric distribution will be introduced. And a new algorithm using the fractal number of phase voltages and phase currents is presented for power grid monitor detection and fault line selection. The apparatus we have developed operates very well in electric distribution. And the application results show that this system is very applicable and can be used with great validity in dynamic monitoring fault diagnosis and trouble removal.

A more precise height imaging model of the distributed SAR system according to the eccentricity of earth is established. For convenient to analyze the effect of the different parameters of the distributed SAR system on the height imaging precision, the sensitive coefficients of the parameter measurement error are defined. By numerical simulation, we find that according to the same error of parameter measurement, the different visual angle thetas and azimuth angle alpha have the most effect on the height imaging precision of the system, when the visual angle thetas and the azimuth angle alpha is equal the error of the parameters can have the minimal effect on the height imaging precision on the distributed SAR system.

Input shaping is an effective means of eliminating vibration in many types of flexible systems. This paper discusses how input shaper performance is affected by systems with a fixed acceleration limit, a common occurrence in many mechanical drive systems. It is shown that some input shapers are not affected by an acceleration limit under certain conditions. A test criteria is developed to determine what type of input shapers are negatively affected and a method is proposed to compensate for the detrimental effects of the constant acceleration limit. Experimental results from an industrial crane support the main theoretical results.

Polaroid sonar sensors are still one of the most widely used sensors in mobile robotics. In this paper a novel sensor fusion scheme called THF (triangulation Hough fusion), which combines the advantages of TBF (triangulation based fusion) and CIHT (cluster inhibiting Hough transform), is presented. The idea of THF lies in that a modified Hough transform is employed on the points extracted by TBF, not on the raw sonar data directly. THF algorithm applied on clustered and noisy sonar data could reliably detect both point and line segment features of the environment. We demonstrate the effectivity of THF algorithm by extracting geometric features in a simulated indoor environment, in which a mobile robot travels with pedestrians moving around casually. Experiments demonstrate that THF is an effective and efficient scheme for detecting both point features and line segment features, especially in the structured environment.

In this paper, we propose a novel 3D watermarking scheme based on feature points. We propose an automatic selection of intrinsic feature points that are robust against surface remeshing and simplification. They are detected in the high variation areas. These feature points are then used as centroids for a Voronoi diagram to build a unique partition of the model in several segments. For each patch, we obtain a range image to embedding watermark bits using 2D watermarking algorithm, then modify the relative vertices to get a watermarked 3D mesh model. The experiment results show that the watermark is imperceptible and robust against various attacks.

Towards electrode control system of LF furnace, a fuzzy adaptive control algorithm based on RBF NN is presented, which identifies real-time and decoupling by NN on-line, and designs a computer control system based on control software of WinAC. The results of application show that this system is able to adapt with load change and external interference very well, and could overcome the dithering of electrode effectively, especially have a good tacking characteristic.

A fast variable step-size least-mean-square algorithm (MRVSS) is proposed and analyzed in this paper. The main features of the new algorithm include the twofold. 1) It eliminates the influence of the power of the measurement noise on the steady-state misadjustment, unlike a number of variable step-size LMS algorithms previously proposed. Therefore, the new algorithm is more flexible to work in the environment with noise uncertainties. 2) It provides faster adaptation speed as well as smaller misadjustment. The mean and mean-square convergence conditions, and steady-state misadjustment of the new algorithm are analyzed. Simulation results for system identification are provided to support the theoretical analysis and to compare the new algorithm with the existing variable step-size LMS algorithms, the conventional LMS algorithm (FSS) in various conditions. They show a superior performance of the new algorithm in stationary environment and an equivalent performance in nonstationary environment.

This paper presents the design and implementation of a digital high performance photovoltaic lighting system based on a microcontroller. In order to achieve high lighting efficiency, this lighting system module used the HBLED which possesses small size, long life and low power consumption. The proposed system consists of a photovoltaic module, a LED lighting module, a bidirectional buck-boost converter and a battery. The bi-directional buck-boost converter is the integration of a charger/discharger and a LED lighting-module drive circuit, which can fulfill maximum power point tracking (MPPT), multi-stage current charging control and LED drive control. In addition, a microcontroller (PIC16F873) is used to realize the system controller. Finally, experimental results are provided to verify the theoretical analysis and design procedure of a digital controlled photovoltaic lighting system.

This paper introduces a data fusion processing method based on remote-sensed image data and the algorithm of support vector machine, and analyzes an experiment on the water quality monitoring data of Taihu Lake. This method builds a SVM model to map remote sensing image into dispersed water quality classifications of lake's water quality monitoring spots, then, it distinguishes the whole lake's water quality condition combining with this model. By comparing with the results, the experiment shows that the results of the identifications of water quality of Taihu Lake match the practical water quality conditions well by using such method, and it provides a convenient and effective technical mean for monitoring and assessment of large catchments, as well, it has a good applied value on other fields.
