The study was aimed to develop teaching material, hand out, using problem based learning useful to increase concept understanding of junior high school students in grade VII. Product quality valued by validity and practicality aspects. This study is a kind of research and development with procedure referred to 4–D developing models; define, design, develop, disseminate. However, the study was conducted to development aspect due to the limitation of research. The subjects of the study were the students of the VII grade of SMPN 25 Padang with 32 students. Furthermore, final test was conducted to see the ability of students’ concept understanding. Based on data analysis, data shows that : 1). Validity quality of the product met the valid criteria with lesson plan percentage mean 83,3 %, very valid category and the mean of hand out 80,1 %, valid category. 2). Product practicality quality met practical criteria, based on the questionnaire percentage mean filled by the students, 84 %, very practice category. 3). The result of students’ final test of concept understanding ability was 81 %, 26 from 32 students passed the test, 6 students failed based on school passing standard.

This study aims to describe students' mathematical problem solving abilities after undergoing inquiry learning with Concrete-Representational-Abstract approach (IT-CRA). This research is a mix method research. The subjects are students of class VIII-B SMPN 1 Padang Panjang, academic year 2015/2016 about 34 people, taken by purposive sampling. The data was collected by test of mathematical problem solving skills and interview. The data of this research consist of qualitative that’s postes and quantitative that’re pretest and postes score. Analysis of qualitative data was in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Analysis of quantitative data was to determine the percentage of student achievement based on protest score, and n-gain score to see the great improvement of students' mathematical problem solving abilities after IT-CRA learning. The results showed that the achievement rate was 66,67% in good enough category. Based on KAM, the achivement of student with high KAM is 85.64% (good), medium KAM is 66.80% (good enough), and low KAM is 47.22% (not good). Furthermore, the average scores of n-gain obtained by 0.61 in the medium category. Then, averages of n-gain on each KAM are moderate. Based on the analysis of postes answers, it is concluded that most students have been able to use strategy of problem solving. However, only a small percentage of students re-check the answer.

The aim of this study is to determine differences of learning outcomes among mathematics learners who were taught by using the strategy of learning the type of power two and the learning Cell strategy at class VII of Junior High School (SMPN) 31 Padang. The Average result of the students those who were taught by The Power of Two was 74,00 and 73,78 for The Learning Cell. The Hypothesis testing obtained 0,803 for the t count and = 1,645 for the T-table. This indicate that there is a low significance difference on the result mathematics taught by using active strategy The Power of Two and Learning Cell.

The goal of this research are: 1) the learning outcomes of student’s if using methaphor and prezi desktop applications in math learning is better than the learning outcomes of student who did not receive the same treatment on main subject of the circle 2) the learning outcomes of students who have the higher learning motivation better than the learning outcomes of students who have low learning motivation if using methapor and prezi desktop applications 3) the learning outcomes of students with who have higher learning motivation is better than the learning outcomes for student with low learning motivation if it does not use methapor and prezi desktop application in learning 4) there is or not interaction between the learning with different material presentation and learning motivation toward the results of student learning. This research was quasi experiment with 2×2 factorial design. The population in this study was all eighth grade students of Junior Islamic High School of Durian Tarung Padang Academic Year 2015/2016 consists of 6 classes. Samples were taken randomly, so that get first class VIII.3 as experimental group and VIII.2 as the control group. Based on data analysis conclude that learning by using metaphors and prezi desktop applications produce mathematics learning achievement better than learning without using the treatments on the subject matter of the circle. Mathematics achievement of students who have learning motivation high is better than having a low learning motivation either out of the way of presenting the material to use metaphors and Prezi Desktop, or not, and in this study there is no interaction between the learning by presenting different material and motivation learning on student achievement.

This study wa research and development. This study aimed to develop an interactive learning media for rectangular in 7 th grade by using Swishmax and to know the effect of the media on the student learning outcomes. This study adapted ADDIE development model that consist of five steps: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The instruments used in the form of media evaluation that were given to a lecturer as material expert, an IT practioner as media expert, and questionnaire sheet for knowing student’s feedback. The implementation stage was conducted for 35 students of class VII.1 SMP Negeri 10 Jambi. As a result in evaluation stage obtained 93.93% students passed the 65 minimum passing grade which based on analysis of the final test and 78.78% students gave positive feedback to the application of the development product.

Type of research used is research of development with 4D models that has been created by S. Thiagrajan (1974) consists of four development stages; define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research is only conducted until the third stage, i.e. developing stage. Defines stage consists of: a) the analysis beginning of the end; b) the analysis of learners; c) the analysis of concept; d) the analysis of task; and e) specification of learning objectives. Designs stage consists of: design of the mathematics module; b) design of instruments and instrument validation assesment learning devices. Develops stage consists of: a) validation module by expert and mathematics teacher; b) testing; c) questionnaire responses of teachers and students; d) interview with student. Result of the research indicates that based on the assessment of experts, this module have been valid with an average of 83,63%. Based on the result questionnaire responses of teachers, questionnaire responses of students, and interviews with students indicates this module have been very practical use on the learning of mathematics on material system of linear equations with an average 85,24% by teachers and 82,40% by students
