In the present days, many researchers are interested in the best ways of teaching English grammar to EFL (English as Foreign Language), or ESL (English as Second Language) students. As a contribution on this direction, the present study examines and compares the impact of deductive versus inductive approaches in the teaching of the subject of grammar to the first stage Iraqi students in the Department of English at College of Arts/University of Thi-Qar. The two groups of students were taught the order of adjectives through deductive and inductive approaches and then they were given identical exam to measure their understanding after the lesson. Also, feedback was provided to the participants following the lesson. The results of the study indicated that there was a slightly higher level of achievement as well as a higher level of satisfaction in the group exposed to the teaching of grammar deductively in comparison with the group exposed to the teaching of grammar inductively. The conclusions suggest that the deductive approach has more positive effect on EFL teaching than on the inductive approach.

The purpose of this paper is to introduce the notion of fuzzy neutrosophic soft ideal in fuzzy neutrosophic soft set theory. The concept of fuzzy neutrosophic soft local function is also introduced. These concepts are discussed with a view to find new fuzzy neutrosophic soft topologies from the original one. The basic structure, especially a basis for such generated fuzzy neutrosophic soft topologies also studied here. Finally, the notion of compatibility of fuzzy neutrosophic soft ideals with fuzzy neutrosophic soft topologies is introduced and some equivalent conditions concerning this topic are established here

The present study was carried out from September 2012 to May 2013 to detect the epidemiology of Hepatitis B virus infections among the Thalassemia patients, represent patients referred to the center of thalassemic /AL-Haboby Hospital, central blood bank, at Thi-Qar province. The ELISA-III technique was implemented. This study was conducted on 457 individuals from thalassemic patients: 252 males and 205 females . Seropositive results of HBV by ELISA III technique was found in 5(1.09%), the infections were distributed as the following: males 4(1.58%) were higher than females 1(0.48%), with significant differences (P≤0.01). The statistical analysis showed significant differences in urban than rural parts of the province (p<0.01). The highest infection rates recorded was 2.38% ,1.11% and 1.02% at age groups 11-15 , 16-20 and > 21 years) respectively. Our results have revealed that hepatitis B vaccine is highly immunogenic for children with thalassemia and particularly well tolerated. According to our findings most thalassemic patients (98.91%) were immune to HBV and 1.09 % of them were not immune to HBV.

(PVA- CoCl 2 ) films with different thicknesses were prepared by casting method. The thickness of the prepared films were 15, 25, 35 and 45 µm .The optical transmission (T %) in the wavelength range 190-900 nm of films deposited was measured. The results show that The absorption coefficient α ‹10 4 (cm -1 ) .These films show indirect allowed transitions , the optical energy gap about (4.31 eV) for (15 µm),(4.51 eV) for (25 µm) ,(4.68 eV) for (35µm) and (4.72 eV) for (45 µm). The real and imaginary part of dielectric constant calculated and correlated with thicknesses.

Hematological and serum parameters are a prerequisite to understand the normal functioning of the system and to confirm the nontoxic nature of the administered crude drug. Hematological parameters such as mean platelet volume (MPV) and RBCs count are associated with the increased risk for cardio vascular diseases CVD. Octacosanol is the major effective component of policosanol forming about (62.9%), it has antioxidative, lipid lowering, antithrombotic (antiplatelet) effects and provides protection against free radical associated diseases. Statins are the inhibitors of hydroxymethyl glutaryl coenzyme A (HMG CoA) reductase. They are mostly used to treat hyperlipidaemia. Statins such as atorvastatin and some of medical plants have shown their beneficial effect on the cardiovascular disease (CVD) by virtue of their lipid lowering, antioxidant and cardioprotective effects. The present study was designed to compare some of hematological parameters after treatment of extracted octacosanol and atorvastatin in female Norwegian rats. Thirty two females rat with (10-12) weeks old-and weighting (200-250 gm) were used in the current study. Policosanol was extracted from sugarcane that obtained from Mesan province. Octacosanol is determined in this extraction by gas chromatography – mass spectrometry (GC/MS). Animals were divided into 4 equal groups: G.1 (n=8) (Control) : only 0.5 ml/ animal of Dimethyl Sulphoxide (DMSO). G.2 (n=8) animals treated with (0.02 mg/ animal) of standard octacosanol . G.3 (n=8) animals treated with (0.02mg/ animal) of octacocosanol extraction, G. 4 (n=8) treated with only (0.02mg/ animal) of atorvastatine. The treatment continued for 30 days. All animals were then sacrificed and blood samples were collected in EDTA tubes for measuring of hematological parameters. Results: all hematological parameters (RBCs, Hb, MCV, MCH and MCHC) in group treated with extracted octacosanol were nearby the control group except platelet count and MPV level were lower than those of control group, while platelet count and MPV were higher in extracted group than those in the Atorvastatin group (all P≤0.05). In conclusion: The antiplatelet activity of the extracted octacosanol is more than atorvastatin and without side effects. So the extracted octacosanol successfully used in prevention of platelet aggregation and thrombosis in patients with CVD.

Novel low-cost Polyaniline (PANI)-single wall carbon nanotubes (SWNT or SWCNT) nanocomposite - based hole transport materials (HTMs) as substitutes to the expensive HTM Spiro-OMeTAD have been synthesized and designed for the applications in solid-state dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSCs). The HTMs were prepared through a facile steps reaction from cheap starting material. These HTMs exhibit good solubility and charge-transport ability. The DSSCs based on PANI-SWNTs achieved power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 1.55% under air conditions, that is comparable to the cells employing the normally used Spiro-OMeTAD (1.827%). For DSSCs, we found that the solar cells synthesized based on vertical ZnO nanowire arrays by using a mixture paste of PMII, LiI and solid iodine as electrolyte SWNT enable better photovoltaic performance than that of pure PANI. These results show that easily synthesized PANI-SWNTs- HTMs have great prospect to replace the expensive Spiro-OMeTAD for DSSCs.
