The paper analyzes the metaphorical images presented in the Belarusian-language translation of the novel «Eugene Onegin», prepared by A. Kuleshov. The comparison of metaphors and metaphorical epithets of the original and the translation allowed us to distinguish the following types of correspondences-inconsistencies between them: semantically equivalent means, the most approximate variant figurative means, demetaphorization of the author’s image.

В Україні серед затверджених урядом критеріїв оцінювання якості шкільних навчальних видань відсутній такий показник як складність (читабельність) тексту. Проте такі оцінки складності тексту (синтаксичної та семантичної) потрібно, як і в країнах Заходу, обов’язково запровадити. Для цього на основі експериментальної треба створити промислову комп’ютерну систему визначення складності україномовних текстів. Необхідним є також калібрування таблиці складності до відповідних класів школи та курсів університетів. Ключові слова: навчальні видання, критерії оцінювання, текст, складність, читабельність, українська мова, комп’ютерна система.
