The article examines the main problems faced by Belarusian higher education in the framework of internationalisation over the past five years, analyses the integration of Belarus into the international educational space. This period was marked by new challenges – the process of entering the European Higher Education Area was complicated by the difficult fulfilment of a number of requirements, and in the Eurasian Economic Union education is not among the priority areas. Inbound mobility flows have declined due to external factors. The current situation requires a comprehensive solution that includes strategic and tactical changes in the educational sphere. The article proposes ways of solving new problems of higher education.

The article discusses current changes in the strategies of behaviour of young citizens, manifested in social atomization. Together with the development of scientific and technological progress, the digitalization of almost all spheres of life, the specifics of modern life style are described. The actualization of the public request for personal emotional satisfaction, self-realization is fixed. In the field of labour relations, attention is focused on the introduction of distance forms of work organization. A hypothesis is being put forward that a guideline on personal development influences the choice of strategies for building marriage and family relations. In aggregate, it is assumed that changing patterns of behaviour at the interpersonal level make it possible to take a different look at the mechanisms for the formation of civil dialogue and social solidarity. The question is raised about the need to build in modern realities an adequate strategy for communication with citizens, including as part of ideological work.

The history of science in any of its transformations and metamorphoses is, in fact, a search for and definition of the truth. As an example, I. Kant’s famous four questions start with the question «What can I know?». Thus, the search for truth as a subject of research has been a dominating force throughout human history. Of course, sociology as a social meta-science is also involved in this topic. A simple assertion of the existence of three concepts of truth, namely accordance, agreement and advantage, does not fully answer the prerequisites of contemporary discourse. The present article analyses a new discourse on the study of truth in contemporary science. We give a brief retrospective analysis of the main fields of truth interpretation. At the same time, these directions are not just listed but linked into the general outline of contemporary epistemology. Of course, a greater bias is made towards the sciences of the social and humanitarian profile. That, however, does not exclude the necessary portion of the data of natural science research. In the article these data are not used as demonstrations, but as independent meta-scientific research. We give various examples of the complementarity of different branches of science. In particular, we show the scope and relative limitation of such concepts as correspondence theory, evolutionary epistemology, socio-humanitarian cybernetics, adaptationism and neo-adaptationism. A significant place in the article is occupied by the problem of truth in artistic creation. We also give sustainable conclusions about the polyphonicity of truth and its flickering character.

The article considers the history of creation of formal and informal institutional structures of International Association of the Academies of sciences (IAAS) the functioning of which is based on the technological chains of cognition that are characteristic of traditional disciplinary science. The differences between the technological chains of cognition and the global value chains that have developed in the global economy are shown. The prospects of combining the chains of these types within the framework of international scientific and technological consortia, which are more consistent with the requirements of modern technoscience, are determined. The conclusion is substantiated that the creation of a number of international scientific-technological consortia on the basis of scientific councils of association will allow IAAS to receive a stable source of its additional financing.

Familiar laws of physics are applied to study human relations, modelled by their world lines (worldlines) combined with social networks. We focus upon the simplest, basic element of any society: a married couple, stable due to the dynamic balance between attraction and repulsion. By building worldlines (worldsheets), we arrive at a two-level coordinate systems: one describing the behaviour of a string-like binary system (here, a married couple), the other one, external, corresponding to the motion of this couple in the medium, in which the worldline is embedded, sweeping there a string-like sheet or brane. The approach is illustrated by simple examples (semi-quantitative toy models) of worldlines (sheets), open to further extension, perfections and generalisation. Worldlines are combined with social networks. Simple illustrative examples with empirical inputs taken from intuition and (or) observation are appended.

The article reveals specific features of contemporary European social theory within its turn to the nature of creative practices. Different socio-philosophical methods of their cognition are demonstrated. The explication of the character of European social theory as a whole outlines the increasing interest in the formation of a theory of creative society which critically grounds the set of political programmes «Creative Europe». The author defines the concept of the creative turn within a comparative analysis of those theories of contemporary society which explore the peculiarity of social reality constituting on the basis of creative economy. Its practices become a special subject matter of social theory revealing societal limitations of their fulfillment.
