Truncated Total Least Squares Regularization Method for Ocean Acoustic Tomography Inverse Problem 海声层析反演问题的截尾总最小二乘正则化方法

On the basis of the stream function field computed using a diagnostic model in the South China Sea in the summer 1998, the acoustic ray travel time tomography algorithm for reconstruction of two-dimensional flow field was tested by the numerical simulation in the region east to Vietnam. Error or noise contaminates the coefficients of both transfer matrix and measure data of the inverse equation of ocean acoustic tomography (OAT). Previous work on ill-posed problem in OAT commonly used Tikhonov regularization technology considering error only in observation data. Here, the truncated total least squares method (TTLS), which simultaneously considers error and noise on both sides, is applied for inverse solutions and its performances is compared with conventional Tikhonov method. The investigation suggests that the truncated total least squares method can substantially improve reconstruction of stream function field and is a promising alternative method for the solution of ocean acoustic tomography inverse problem.

Application of Global Fuzzy C-Means (GFCM) Clustering Algorithm in Color Transfer 全局模糊c均值(GFCM)聚类算法在色彩传递中的应用

This paper proposes a color transfer approach based on Global Fuzzy C-Means (GFCM) clustering algorithm. GFCM algorithm is adopted to locate the matching areas between the images in lαβ space and to prevent the clustering processing from falling into the local optimal solution. The experiment shows that comparing to the traditional FCM method; GFCM method can obtain a better clustering result in a shorter time and achieve more natural and smoother visual effects.
提出了一种基于全局模糊c均值(GFCM)聚类算法的色彩传递方法。采用GFCM算法在l - αβ空间中定位图像之间的匹配区域,防止聚类处理陷入局部最优解。实验表明,与传统的FCM方法相比;GFCM方法可以在更短的时间内获得更好的聚类结果,获得更自然、更流畅的视觉效果。

Image Encryption and Two Dimensional Discrete M-Parameter Fractional Fourier Transform 图像加密与二维离散m参数分数阶傅里叶变换

We propose a novel fractional Fourier transform named M-parameter fractional Fourier transform (MPFRFT), and using this MPFRFT algorithm successfully acquire a new image encryption method. This MPFRFT is not only a fractionization of Fourier transform, but also an extension of four-item weighted fractional Fourier transform defined by Shih, and it owns four free parameters in the weight coefficients. Without any increase of the computational complexity, the MPFRFT-based image encryption method owns more secret keys than the encryption methods operated by other fractional Fourier transforms. On the other hand, even though the order of the fractional Fourier transform which is treated as a secret key is known, one still can’t decrypt the image correctly, so do the four free parameters. What’s more, not only the security of image information increases, but also the encryption process is simpler. Digital simulations are presented to verify the validity and efficiency of the algorithm. Keywords-Image encryption; Fractional Fourier transform; Information Security

Research on Approach of Entropy-Based Wavelet Filtering for Nomadic Service 基于熵的游牧服务小波滤波方法研究

In order to get good fusion result for nomadic service under pervasive computing paradigm, based on our researches, we present a new approach of entropy-based wavelet filtering to do an adaptive soft process for nomadic decision, which is the good balance when considering both application quality and the PSNR criterion. Using a hard threshold-ing, a soft threshold- ing , MEF method, and MEF method with as a function of the SNR, wavelet coefficient can be modified . Our project has been provided evidence of feasibility of the a new approach.

A Method of Improving SIFT Algorithm Matching Efficiency 一种提高SIFT算法匹配效率的方法

Due to the good invariance of scale, rotation, illumination, SIFT (Scale Invariant Feature Transform) descriptor is commonly used in image matching. but its algorithm is complicated and computation time is long. To improve SIFT feature matching algorithm efficiency, the method of reducing similar measure matching cost is mentioned. Euclidean distance is replaced by the linearcombination of cityblock distance and chessboard distance, and reduce character point in calculating with results of part feature. The experimental results show that the algorithm can reduce the rate of time complexity and maintain robust quality at the same time, image matching efficiency is improved. Peak-to-Average Power Ratio Reduction of an OFDM Signal Using Signal Scrambling 利用信号置乱降低OFDM信号的峰均功率比

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) has recently been focused on in high-data-rate wireless communication research. But the High Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) is one of the main obstacles to limit wide application. In this paper, signal scrambling techniques on reducing PAPR are presented, including Selective Mapping (SLM), a modified scheme of SLM by using the standard arrays and Partial Transmit Sequences (PTS). Furthermore, such PAPR solutions are analyzed theoretically and compared, their performance are obtained by Monte Carlo simulations. Finally, the redundancy of PTS and SLM are analyzed in detail.

Illegally Parked Vehicles Detection Based on Omnidirectional Computer Vision 基于全向计算机视觉的非法停放车辆检测

At present, vision-based illegally parked vehicles detection faces a range of issues such as narrowness of detection range, low detection precision and robustness. This paper proposed a technique for illegally parked vehicles detection. Firstly, Omni-Directional Vision Sensors (ODVS) are used to access Omni-directional images of the scene. Secondly, a method based on two backgrounds modeled by Gaussian mixture model (GMM) with different learning rate is presented. Through simple arithmetic, it is capable to segment temporarily static vehicles in the scene. This method is computational efficient and robust because of the avoidance of a series of complex operations of merging, splitting, entering, leaving, occlusion, and correspondence which are met in traditional methodology depending on object-tracking. Thirdly, shadow suppression is used to overcome the impact of vehicles' own shadow on the detection precision. Experimental results show that the technique can effectively detect illegally parked vehicles with high precision and robustness.

Research on CCD De-Noising Technology CCD降噪技术研究

After the charge coupled device (CCD) noise sources is expatiated, the methods of restraining the main CCD noise are analyzed. For the shot noise, the wavelet theory and adaptive theory are combined and the error formula is derived in a sufficient sampling frequency. The working principle of CDS technology and its impact on filtering the CCD reset noise are discussed. The results show that as long as the choice of appropriate sampling time, the reset noise can be restrained furthest.

Anisotropic three dimensional (3-D) Euclidean distance transform (EDT) has important applications in medical image processing, but few algorithms have been reported so far. An anisotropic 3-D EDT algorithm is designed and realized based on Eggers's 2-D algorithm. The characteristic of the algorithm is that all voxels in the propagation contour have the same chessboard distance from the feature voxels. The voxels in the surface of the feature voxel set constitute the initial propagation contour. The voxels in the contour propagate the distance information to the neighbors in special directions, which constitute the new propagation contour. The voxels in the contour are classified into three types, and propagate to seven, three, and one neighbors respectively. The proposed algorithm can generate exact singed and unsigned EDT. The validity of the algorithm is proved theoretically. The speed and efficiency of the algorithm is evaluated, and compared to other algorithm. Methods to reduce the memory requirements are discussed.

Physical Constraints of High Resolution Acoustic Imaging in the 50 Hz - 15 kHz Frequency Range 50hz - 15khz频率范围内高分辨率声成像的物理约束

Identification and spatial detection of low frequency airborne sound sources, 50 Hz - 15 kHz, both generative and reflective, is not a clear cut task. The purpose of this paper is to give an overview of the physics and related mathematics that govern and acoustic imaging system. Most of the theory is borrowed from optics and is now applied to the field of acoustics. The paper highlights the relationship between wavelength and effective aperture. Other important issues addressed are field depth and resolving power, i.e. the point spread function. Chromatic aberration, spectral aberration, due to refraction is also discussed. The last issue is the comparison of a mirror/lens approach vs. a microphone array approach. Finally the paper concludes with a discussion of two applications. First it looks at architectural acoustics and second at a low frequency acoustic radar/sonar application.
