Deployment of LoRA WAN Network for Rural Smart Grid in Brazil 巴西农村智能电网LoRA广域网的部署

The communication between various intelligent network devices for the ADMS interfaces, it is necessary to deploy an appropriate communication network to meet the requirements of all intelligent network components.A very common problem encountered in smart grid design and deployment lies in the definition of the communication network that will serve the project. Many ways of developing communication network projects have been tested in Brazil, all in urban areas where the cellular network is abundant and the endpoints are close to each other.In this paper, we list all the steps that led us to decide on the adoption of a LoRaWAN communication network and how this network is being implemented in the CPFL / UFSM / ANEEL project in southern Brazil in a rural area and testing with experimental LORAWAN network in UFSM Campus.

Autonomous Energy for Undertakings that Require Mobility or are Beyond the Reach of the Public Electricity Network 为需要移动性或超出公共电网范围的企业提供自主能源

The following project aims to develop a mobile fast food vehicle that allows us to cook all the food in an electric way with the implementation of an electric circuit powered by solar panels. Allowing thus, replace the consumption of non-renewable resources with a more ecological source to carry out the same activity. For which we will indicate the main electrical components, the simulation of the generation system with the use of specialized software such as MATLAB; at the end, the data validation and comparison of curves between the model used and measurement curves obtained from the mobile vehicle are presented.

A Model to optimize Mix Power Generation Selection of Distributed Renewable Plants for Expansion Planning with Reliability Criteria: An Application in Puno, Peru 基于可靠性标准的分布式可再生电站扩展规划混合发电选择优化模型:在秘鲁普诺的应用

This paper proposes a dynamic optimization mathematical approach to obtain the optimum mix of distributed generation plants with renewable energy resources (RER) necessary to provide reliability to critical electrical systems. This model takes as inputs the energy potential ofwater, wind and solar resources available and injectable in each area, investment and operation and maintenance (O&M) cost ofthese plants and related infrastructure; as well as parameters of existing electrical grid and conventional generation plants. The proposed model is performed for the 8760 hours of a typical year within which it is considered out-of-service states for existing transmission lines and power plants. A robust approach is contemplated though a cost sensibility analysis. The results of the application performed in a real case in Puno, Peru evidence an improvement of approximately 81% and 68% in reliability indexes SAIDI and SAIFI, respectively.

Real-time simulation of the Prony filter for identifying low frequency oscillations in short-time 短时间内识别低频振荡的proony滤波器的实时仿真

This paper specializes on the real-time simulation of the Prony filter for capturing low frequency dynamics in power systems. The development is accomplished integrating two platforms: OPAL-RT and Matlab & Simulink. Where a computational efficient Prony calculation is implemented in order to yield damping and frequency estimates in short-time. The analysis is performed through a sliding analisys window, which it is used to guarantee instantaneous estimates. The low frequency oscillations’ identification process is applied on two systems. Experimental results confirm the propositions performance, precision, and reliability.

Control Tuning of Energy Storage Systems based on Operating Point Consistency 基于工作点一致性的储能系统控制调谐

The operating point (OP) of energy storage systems (ESS) may change drastically and with a certain frequency, depending on their dispatch. In order to use this technology to its full extent, such condition should not represent a limiting constraint in terms of performance and stability. However, linear controllers as the proportional-integral-derivative (PID) generally require the linearization of the system around a point to perform their tuning and do not necessarily guarantee correct operation over the wide range required by ESSs. In order to address this issue, this paper presents a study to select a consistent OP when tuning the PIDs for the active power control loop in an ESS. Two scenarios of simulated OPs were obtained from an optimal power flow (OPF) (critical setpoint shifts, and centroids of clusters for representative cases), with a third one to evaluate saturation. A genetic algorithm (GA) was used at each point to minimize reference tracking error and to ensure operating constraints. The simulation results were confirmed through a mathematical analysis which indicates that since the system’s behavior depends heavily on the OP, tunings based on saturation points are the most consistent choice.

Applications and Validation of WECC Model for Type 4 Wind Generator Controller for the Colombian Power System 哥伦比亚电力系统4型风力发电机控制器WECC模型的应用与验证

The Colombian power system will have an important challenge in the upcoming years because of the large amount of unconventional renewable energies that are going to be connected to it. This power system typically has been hydro based with no presence of large-scale wind or photovoltaic generation. Around 1249 MW of wind and 1086 MW of photovoltaic large scale generation are expected which represents 10% of the peak demand. For this reason, the Colombian power system operator must evaluate the impact of integrating these technologies into the grid. In order to achieve this goal, the behavior of these unconventional renewable generators was simulated using the WECC (Western Electricity Coordinating Council) control model for Type 4 Wind Generators which was implemented in the PowerFactory software. This paper shows the results of several tests carried out to validate the referred model and the analysis performed with it to assess the impact of these sources in the Colombian power system’s frequency and voltage. Using these results the technical requirements were defined to maintain the security and reliability conditions of the power system.

Contingency-Constrained Transmission Expansion Planning Considering a Representative Daily Demand Curve 考虑代表性日需求曲线的偶然性约束输电扩张规划

The Transmission Expansion Planning (TEP) problem determines the optimal investments for certain candidates’ transmission lines in an electric power system. The TEP problem considers and implements the N-1 security criterion in all periods of planning and operation. This paper introduces a novel approach to reduce the computation time and memory used when modeling the TEP problem considering the security criterion N-1. Several popular commercial solvers are used to evaluate the computational efficiency of the proposed TEP approach.

Curve Fitting Analysis of Expulsion Fuse Links through the Cross-Validation Technique 基于交叉验证技术的排烟引信连杆曲线拟合分析

The most common protective device in distribution systems is the expulsion fuse link. This work aims to assist the engineer in carrying out expulsion fuse links modeling using curve fitting. The proposed approach used the fuse time-current characteristic to obtain the polynomial function that represent the fuse link model. Preferred K and H fuses were used. The polynomial coefficients was obtained through the MATLAB software. The polynomial order that best represents the fuse link was decided using the cross-validation technique. The technique consists of iteratively partitioning the data set, separating test points and training points on each iteration.

Technical Losses Assessment in Medium Voltage Feeders in the Presence of Distributed Generation 分布式电源存在时中压馈线的技术损耗评估

The integration of photovoltaic generation (PV) is the subject of study of the distribution companies, universities and research centers around the world, since there is a goal to measure the impact of the presence of this type of generation in distribution systems. In this work, the technical losses (or ohmic losses) in medium voltage (MV) feeders were evaluated considering the insertion of the photovoltaic generation. In general, it is verified that the insertion of this generation is associated to the reduction of losses in the feeders, since there is an intuitive idea of reducing its load. However, through several simulations in the Simulight software [1], this work describes situations in which the ohmic losses increase, also evaluating other relevant factors that influence this issue.
