This study examines the corporate social responsibility (CSR) dynamics in the rapidly growing paper industry in Odisha. The paper argues that the industry is sustainable from social responsibility as well as natural resources and economic perspectives. The study examined the practice of CSR of Odisha's paper industry with emphasis on their CSR initiatives, endeavours and expenditures. Some industries were randomly selected; using their annual report of the results it is revealed that most of the industries’ CSR is based on financial/economic, social. So the government should develop a legal framework for CSR in Odisha to ensure that the paper industries will stop their lip service to CSR and that an organisation gives back to the communities where they are operating. The paper concludes with a discussion of this industry as a case study of ‘positive deviance’ and with lessons for contemporary innovation system theory and for development policy and practice.

The concept of quality of work life (QWL) is gaining increasing attention by all organisation all over the world. Quality of life encompasses the sum total of healthy experiences that individuals experience in various facets of life. A sizable component of the quality of life is the quality of life experienced by organisation members at the workplace. The QWL therefore is important and worthy of deep study as individuals do not compartmentalise their lives but carry even their satisfaction of otherwise experienced at work where they spend the major part of their time. Thus, the QWL spills over to the quality of life experienced in the family. QWL will have direct and indirect relationship with the economic and social well-being of large portion of population which lies beyond the domain of industry. Improved QWL naturally helps to improve the family life of the employees and also improves the performance of the industry/enterprises. Ever since the concept of QWL was first used over 30 years ago, a range of definitions and theoretical constructs have succeeded each other with the aim of mitigating many problems facing the concept. A historical overview of the concept of QWL is presented here. Given the lack of consensus concerning the solutions that have been developed to date, a new definition of QWL is suggested, inspired by the research on a related concept. This article reviews the meaning of QWL, various definition of QWL and determinant of QWL based on the reviews.
工作生活质量(quality of work life, QWL)的概念越来越受到世界各地组织的关注。

Microfinance, over the years, has evolved from the traditional joint liability method to the new innovations such as individual lending and differential banking. Institutes which initially focussed only on production loans are now also attempting to provide consumption loan to the existing and potential customers. Group lending, which was once considered as the fundamental stone of the microfinance model, has now become obsolete and new models are emerging. Through this paper, with the help of existing literature, an attempt has been made to find the reason of the diminishing importance of group lending. The writer has also find that there is an absence of empirical research analyzing the impact of individual lending in India. It has also been found that several microfinance institutes have now started operating as a small finance bank, the impact of which on customers has not been established yet.

This paper examines satisfaction of business taxpayers with the tax system. The study focuses on examining the views of taxpayers towards the tax taxpayers ’services, tax policy, tax administrative mechanism and tax law enforcement. The study has adopted a sequential explanatory mixed method research approach. The data were collected from federal business taxpayers through questionnaire and in-depth interview and descriptive. The data collected are analysed using descriptive data analysis. The findings of this study reveal that business taxpayers are not satisfied with the existing tax systems. Moreover, the finding further reveals that the tax system is so complex and unfair, discretionary treatment by officers and existent of lack of monitoring in the tax authority. Finally, the paper suggests a series of measures, which could be taken by the government in general and tax authorities in particular, are improving tax policy and administration issues, stepping up their duty of promoting tax awareness; tax officers should be given intensive and repetitive training to improve their attitude and promoting a code of conduct with emphasis on ethical values; and finally, tax refund procedure would be simplified.

Social entrepreneurship (SE), the practice of responding to market failures with transformative, financially sustainable innovations aimed at solving social problems has emerged at the nexus of the public, private and non-profit sectors in India as well as across the world. It is a new breed of entrepreneurship that exhibits characteristics of non-profits, government and businesses-including applying to social problem-solving traditional, private sector entrepreneurship's focus on innovation, risk-taking and large-scale transformation. Although SE is not a new phenomenon, the field has experienced enormous growth over the past 15 years, receiving increasing recognition from journalists, philanthropists, researchers, and policymakers as an important and distinctive part of the nation's social, economic and political landscape. This paper attempts a critical examination of SE in India and the major issues and challenges faced by them.

The focus of this study is identity change – how we adapt our personality and behaviour as we make the shift from home to the workplace. It seems the majority of us are comfortable with the idea of maintaining separate work and private identities. But for some, the switch is so complete as to cause real tensions, and to have a detrimental effect on their satisfaction and performance both at work and at home. This study strives to raise the discussion a level above the usual work–life balance debates around time devoted to work and private lives – and brings a fresh perspective on a subject that is close to our hearts. Our goal is to make balancing the demands – and rewards – of people's work and private lives as simple as possible through technology. But we are also aware that modern communications technology has the ability to invade and encroach, as well as to involve and empower. This study will go some way to building our understanding of people's needs and expectations as the modern workplace evolves to become more open and flexible.

The paper tries to analyse factors associated with successful social entrepreneurship, particularly with social entrepreneurship that leads to significant changes in the economic, social, cultural and technology contexts for poor and marginalised groups that lead to social transformation. The impact of social transformation on these factors is calculated by comparing the pre-stage and post-stage situations. The paper concludes with a discussion of the implications for the practice of social entrepreneurship and social transformation, for further research, and for the continued development of support technologies and institutions that will encourage future social entrepreneurship. Here, the scale of social development was used to measure the effectiveness and significant of the scale. The Confirmatory Factor Analysis through AMOS is performed to fit the model and its significance.
