Air conditioner using Peltier module 空调采用Peltier模块

Present paper gives a picture of a conceptual design of an air conditioner using Peltier modules to achieve desired amount of cooling. The appearance of this thermoelectric type of air conditioner resembles a conventional window air conditioner. This brings the simplicity in construction. The air conditioner is intended to take up the cooling load in volume of space as in conventional automobiles such as cars. If conventional vapour compression type of air conditioner currently used in vehicles is replaced with this one with an arrangement for its placement, it would reduce the total weight of vehicle and increase fuel economy.

The aim of the project is to provide an alternative to short distance transport and in turn reduce the ever increasing pollution and demand on fuel resources. Our objective is the development of a solar powered electric recumbent trike which will cater to the present day transport needs without being a burden on the environment and also does not compromise on matters like stability and comfort.

Framework for user identification using writeprint approach 使用写打印方法的用户识别框架

There has been an abrupt increase in the use of social networking sites from the past decade. This has given rise to various issues of social networking sites. The ever rising popularity of social networking site has lured the cyber criminals. The misuse of online messages for illegal purposes has become a serious issue. Thus, it has led to a great increase in threat to social networks. Hence, user identification is necessary. This paper proposes a framework for detecting user identification for social networking website using a writeprint approach. The writeprint uses the behavior type of biometric information for analysis and detection. In writeprint approach the stylometric characteristics is written text of the user, which is used to detect user identity. Firstly, the text is downloaded and features are extracted using text mining or web mining technique. The most of the features are extracted from this text using natural language processing tool. Multi layered perceptron model, a supervised machine learning technique is used for user identity detection.

Effective and efficient landslide detection system to monitor Konkan railway tracks 有效高效的滑坡检测系统,监测康坎铁路轨道

Man has been developing various methods to protect himself from natural calamities since ages. The only scientific solution to natural calamities is development of systems to predict, detect and take preventive measures using recent advancement in technology. Along the highly landslide prone Konkan railway line, many people have lost their lives due to landslides. It is now high time to replace the present obsolete manual detection systems deployed along this line. In this paper, a highly accurate, effective and efficient landslide detection system has been proposed which can be used along the Konkan railway line to monitor tracks for landslide using image processing. The coding has been done using MATLAB and a low resolution webcam was used for acquiring sample video frames. Various techniques like Hamming distance, Entropy, Euclidean Distance, Correlation, Block processing etc. were used for event detection. The proposed technique gave a threshold margin of 80.24% and the average efficiency of the system was found to be 86.67% for the considered set of images. Using proposed technique, False Acceptance Ratio (FAR) of 0.067 and False Rejection Ratio (FRR) of 0.933 were achieved.

RF spectroscopy technique for soil nutrient analysis 土壤养分分析的射频光谱技术

The manuscript describes RF Spectroscopy approach to determine the nutrients in the soil. Two different soil nutrients namely urea and potash are considered in this study. In order to obtain the frequency spectra of each of the soil nutrient a cell is designed, which is well shielded from external electromagnetic interferences and has a capability of giving a steady response for a given soil nutrient. The RF responses of each of the nutrients with different concentrations in the range of 10MHz-4.4GHz are obtained using a signal generator and a spectrum analyzer. The results obtained show that at specific frequencies, the RF response of the soil nutrient under study changes in accordance with the changes in the concentration of the soil component and at other frequencies, it shows a flat response. Since the response varies in accordance with the concentration, these results can be used for the prediction of an unknown concentration of a nutrient using a multivariate analysis technique based on the PLSR model, where different concentrations of the nutrients are used as variables.

Experimental study of a shell and tube heat exchanger for performance enhancement 壳管式换热器性能改进的实验研究

Enhancing the heat transfer rate is an important factor in a heat exchanger. There are various heat losses because of convection, conduction and radiation from the fluid to the atmosphere or to the construction material which reduces the performance of a heat exchanger. This paper focuses on developing a model for energy balance accounting the various energy losses based on experimental results. The effect of various parameters like mass flow rate, inlet temperature on the overall heat transfer rate is studied. Based on the results obtained from the model developed parameters are optimized for better performance.

Electronic recording system-heart disease prediction system 电子记录系统——心脏病预测系统

In medical field there is a growing need for development of software to be used for practical applications rather than only in research field. Doctors need not only to know the main symptoms in a patient but also the other factors in life and surrounding that lead to disease in the patient. For collecting all the necessary information about the patient the doctors needs to spend a lot of time with the patient asking necessary questions to get the important details. The doctor needs to document all the data for further use and needs to keep track of all the patient details and remedies. The proposed system is intended to develop an Intelligent System using data mining modeling technique, namely, Naive Bayes. It is implemented as Java application in which user answers the predefined questions. It retrieves hidden data from stored database and compares the user values with trained data set. It can answer complex queries for diagnosing heart disease and thus assist healthcare practitioners to make intelligent clinical decisions which traditional decision support systems cannot.

Application of stair climbing robot 爬楼梯机器人的应用

In today's world, robots are used for almost all purposes. They find their application in defense, surveillance, transport and in many other places. Our project is based on building a robot having a capability to climb stairs carrying 10Kg of weight excluding its own weight. We will be loading fire extinguisher cylinders on the robot so that it can be used to douse fire. This robot will be able to go to places were human life can be at risk and can help in surveillance, as a camera will be placed at the front side of the robot which will send live video to the device linked with it. In this paper we present the structure, construction and application of a stair climbing robot.

Modern amenities, fast data transfer and minimum delay have now become the basic requirements of all the services. This has now come in a large way in transport services also. One such service offered to transport system is toll collection. Initially toll collection was manual but now due to development in various fields it is slowly moving towards automation. The system discussed in this paper is a full automated toll collection system. Number plate recognition is used increasingly nowadays for automatic toll collection, secure parking and law enforcement. Open Road Tolling uses video evidence to identify vehicle usage of a toll facility without the use of toll booths for toll collection without having to stop or even slow down to pay the toll. The application utilizes image processing and pattern recognition methods for Open Road Tolling. This paper presents Open Road Tolling (ORT) using number plate recognition. The proposed Number Plate Recognition (NPR) techniques consist of two modules: histogram based number plate localization and number plate recognition using template matching. This approach has an advantage of being simple & faster. This has come up in a large way in foreign countries, but not in India to that extent here it is still at the level of idea.

Surge analysis in piping systems analysis of valve characteristics 管道系统喘振分析阀门特性分析

Analysis of pressure transients is a crucial factor in determining the upstream and downstream pressures acting at various time steps along the length of the pipe. The method of characteristics is a useful tool and is implemented on a computer software to evaluate the surge occurring in pipelines. These surges are largely influenced by the valves present in the piping system. By studying the characteristics of these valves we can identify the upsurge and downsurge. In this paper, we focus upon the optimization of the valves, in order to minimize the pressure transients caused by it.
