The village community of Cireundeu has carried out its ancestral customary traditions, among others the main thing is not to eat staple food other than cassava. This unique custom has become a strong cultural attraction for different groups of people both nationally and internationally. This makes Cireundeu Village one of the cultural tourism destinations often visited by different groups of tourists. Traditional elders argued that although there was no growth of tourism there, they should continue to carry out their cultural traditions handed down from generation to generation. In the meantime, several generations in Kampung Cireundeu do not necessarily wish to continue the tradition of their ancestors. However, with the increasing growth of tourism, the Cireundeu people started to feel some benefits from tourism development. They therefore started to strive to engage in the preservation of their ancestral culture’s traditions and customs. The purpose of this study is to see onto which extent tourism can motivate the next generation of Cireundeu Village community to preserve the cultural traditions. This study uses quantitative methods to confirm a premise from previous studies. This research found that tourism has a positive and significant influence on the motivation of the people of Kampung Cireundeu in preserving their ancestral culture. This research took 100 respondences chosen specifically on adult indigenous villagers. The questionnaire uses ordinal scale asking the respondence on how strong they agree on the given statements. The statements are representing the dimensions on each variable tested in this research. This study only covers the Cireundeu village community. The aspect under study is limited to economic, social and cultural benefits of tourism. This study uses a multiple linear regression analytical method that measures how much is the influence of tourism simultaneously on the motivation of the people of Kampung Cireundeu in preserving their ancestral culture.

Hester Prynne is a young woman of The Scarlet Letter. She has borne a child out of wedlock and been sentenced to wear the scarlet letter A, a symbol of committing adultery for the rest of her life. She refuses to take the scarlet A as a token of outlaw. With her needlework, she struggles to subvert the original signification of the letter A and to build her new identity as an able, angelic and admirable woman. She transforms the letter A for herself outside the patriarchal signifier. However, her return to Boston, where she voluntarily wears the letter illustrates that Hester acknowledges the importance of the social order and her submission to the public. She has the rebellious spirit but it is not strong enough to overthrow the patriarchy. Hester’s dual image of subversion to submission is attributed to Hawthornes’ ambiguous attitude toward women.

As a kind of folk art, pillow top has rich cultural connotation and innovative vitality of expressions. By analyzing the auspicious symbolic elements of pillow top art and emotional expressions such as praying for wealth and fame, beauty and love, blessing and longevity, good fortune, and reproductive worship, this paper extracts the pattern and color matching elements suitable for innovative design to show the forms of expression. The theme of pillow top pattern is mostly auspicious symbols representing auspicious meaning, which is reflected in people’s daily life, that is, the emotional expression of blessing culture. The culture of praying for blessings continues to modern times and has permeated people’s daily life. Pillow top art can seek innovative forms of expression with the help of its rich emotional language and auspicious symbolic elements, and with reference to the successful cases of Taiwan’s cultural and creative products.

Rebecca, written by Daphne du Maurier, the well-known British female writer in 20th century, is a masterpiece suffused with suspense and mystery. Since its publication in 1938, it had caused quite a sensation among readers and became an instant best seller that had never gone out of print. In the existing studies of the novel, most scholars laid their emphasis on character analysis, feminism criticism, narratology, gothic writing and psychoanalysis. However, the analysis of the personality of the Protagonist from Carl Jung’s Archetypal theory is rarely seen, moreover, no one has yet made a comprehensive study of the persona of three protagonists under Jung’s persona theory. By analyzing the persona of both the male protagonist, Maxim, and the two female protagonists, Rebecca and “I”, and exploring reasons resulting in their imbalanced persona, hopefully this paper could render a new approach to reveal the theme of the novel and interpret Daphne du Maurier’s dilemma in her bisexuality. In this paper, three parts are presented. The first part initially makes a survey of previous studies on the novel both at home and abroad, and then introduces Carl Jung’s persona theory. The second analyzes the three protagonists’ persona in detail: Maxim’s overdeveloped person, the nameless narrator’s underdeveloped persona and Rebecca’s well-balanced person; the last part explores reasons resulting in their different personas, mainly from two perspectives: the social background and Daphne du Maurier’s ambivalence about her bisexuality.

Leaders are systems’ fundamental piece and the effect factor for the forces impacted by the system. For this reason, the current study sought to investigate the effect of authentic leadership on organisational citizenship behaviour. It also examined the moderating role of organizational politics in the context of Ghana. The population for the study was teaching and non-teaching staff at the University of Education Winneba in Ghana. There were 237 samples. Data were obtained using the questionnaire. The research design used for the study was quantitative research with a descriptive study and this study has been used for explanatory purposes. The quantitative tool the researcher used to analyse data was Microsoft Excel, Amos, Process Macro, and statistical package for social sciences (SPSS 21). Findings revealed that authentic leadership had insignificant impact on organizational citizenship behaviour. Results also showed a positive but insignificant moderating role of organizational politics on the relationship between authentic leadership and organizational citizenship behaviour. The study recommended that institutions and businesses should not take note of authentic leadership to influence employees’ behaviours and should not consider organizational politics in addressing the decrease in employees’ behaviour.

Christmas is the most important festival in the west, and the British Queen Elizabeth II makes a speech on this day every year to celebrate with the people. The Christmas speech every year involves annual domestic and international events, it is a rare opportunity for the Britiish Queen to express personal opinions and attitudes. Based on the person deixis of the Queen’s Christmas Speech in 2019, this paper intends to analyze the use of person deixis in the corpus and the pragmatic information they convey from the perspective of pragmatics, so as to further understand the pragmatic functions of person deixis. The appropriate use of person deixis in the Queen’s Christmas speeches can effectively highlight the main theme of the Christmas speeches, also achieve the purpose of blessing and appealing to the masses.

Bullying or peer victimization is a topic for concern among teenagers and youth of society. It is a common type of interpersonal aggression and usually occurs in many forms, patterns, have several consequences either physical or psychological. Bullying behavior is a severe issue and has short-term as well as long-term impact on individual. However, teenagers who are victimized by the perpetrators may develop the psychopathological symptoms and mental health problems, such as, distress, depression, anxiety, social isolation, etc, which also have some serious effects in later life or adulthood and sometimes leads to suicidal ideation. Therefore, this conceptual paper is aimed to explore the relevant studies about the issues of bullying or peer victimization and its association with psychopathology symptoms among adolescents and children. And also observe what it has impact on later life of individual. Furthermore, this paper also intends to explore about the relevant prevention policies and concern of bullying in society.

However, teenagers who are victimized by the perpetrators may develop the psychopathological symptoms and mental health problems, such as, distress, depression, anxiety, social isolation, etc, which also have some serious effects in later life or adulthood and sometimes leads to suicidal ideation. Therefore, this conceptual paper is aimed to explore the relevant studies about the issues of bullying or peer victimization and its association with psychopathology symptoms among adolescents and children. And also observe what it has impact on later life of individual. As the main carrier of information, language signs can be seen everywhere in public, such as various shop signs, guideboards, warning signs, billboards and posters. However, people rarely pay attention to them and the meaning they embody. Linguistic landscape is one of the hot topics in sociolinguistics and applied linguistics. Therefore, based on the research framework of Rosenbaum’s investigation of Keren Kayemet Street in Jerusalem, Israel, this paper intends to investigate the linguistic landscape of public signs in Bayannur City of Inner Mongolia, in order to understand the language use in the linguistic landscape of Bayannur City. In addition, relevant empirical data can provide some reference for the language planning and language policies of the City language Commission and government departments.
