The demand for catfish in Sumbawa Regency continues to increase, but its production is very low so that to meet the needs, catfish are imported from other regions. One factor in the low production of catfish in Sumbawa Regency is the small number of catfish farming businesses. The lack of the number of businessmen is caused by a lack of knowledge and skills of the community in catfish farming. Therefore, it is necessary to improve catfish farming skills through training activities so that the community can conduct independent cultivation as well as the catfish supply in Sumbawa Regency can be fulfilled from the production in the region. This training consists of several stages, namely the stages of counseling, training & mentoring (consisting of land preparation, making tarpaulin ponds, stocking seeds, maintenance, handling diseases until harvesting), and evaluating the results of the activities. The training results show that community groups have been able to cultivate as indicated by the amount of catfish production produced at 392 Kg with total income of Rp 7.720.000 and the value of R/C ratio > 1 (feasible business to run).

The study has the purpose to find the technology-based-learning implementation model that enables learning delivery to be more effective for Junior High School students in Jakarta. This is the way to respond to the research problem that questions the difficulties of teachers in using educational technology effectively. The technology-based learning can promote the UN campaign for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The significance of the study is to help school and teachers to have a model of technology implementation in learning. Using a qualitative case study method, this research gathered data in a school in Jakarta that has enthusiasm and commitment to using technology in the learning. The researcher interviewed leaders and teachers coordinators, observed the steps of technology implementation and used literature and documentation review. As the findings, the implementation model needs a strong commitment from school leaders and foundations, personal and step-by-step mentoring to teachers, consistent training and practice, responsiveness to the world changes and student needs, encouragement of teachers to find their own tools, usage of standard operating system (SOP), monitoring and rigorous evaluation.

Diplomacy in the digital era is an exciting, yet daunting task. To prevent, minimize or relieve the possibility of conflict with other countries, as well as strengthen a nation’s branding, governments must match their means of communication with the emergence of new technologies that lend a cost effective and instant platform to reach the public. This paper offers an insight on the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affair’s official twitter account @portal_kemlu_RI and how the topic of the ASEAN community is communicated. This paper explores to which effect transformative diplomacy goals have been communicated on hand of the social media integration model and challenges of effective two-way communication through asymmetrical as well as two-way symmetrical approaches.

Air pollution badly affects the human rights to get a clean and healthy environment. This study aims atfinding out the legal certainty for the accuracy of measuring the quality standard level of air pollution. Thisstudy used a normative legal approach as the research method and the data were collected using a literature review. The results indicate that the level of standard criteria for air pollution is regulated in Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 41 of 1999 concerning Air Pollution Control. The accuracy of standard criteria measurement can be guaranteed through the application of Law Number 2 of 1981 concerning Legal Metrology. Furthermore, the obligation of calibration and re-calibration against measuring, dosing, weighing devices and their outfits further guarantees the legal certainty for the society. In conclusion, it was found that by using a precise and accurate measurement method and tool, widespread impacts of environmental damage caused by air pollution can be anticipated. Therefore, the government should always follow technological developments, especially in the field of air pollution measurement.

The education world in Indonesia has recently tried to implement a quite radical shift, from the conservative teacher-centered approach to a more dynamic student-centeredlearning. Learning by Teaching, one of the approaches which emphasizes the involvement of students in teaching and learning interaction, has been applied across countries despite its introduction several decades ago. In addition, studies towards this approach have reported its success and advantages, yet there have only been a few sporadic attempts to apply this approach in Indonesia. In order to see if Learning by Teaching can really be implemented in classrooms, this case study intends to discover if Learning by Teaching is applicable to teach Tenses. This quantitative study employed an English test as the instruments after the students experienced Learning by Teaching. The result of this study shall offer some insight to schools and universities across Indonesia whether Learning by Teaching as one of student-centered learning approaches can be implemented to help students learn English language.

In a democratic life, local finance accountability plays a pivotal role in preventing local government officials from abusing power. Thereby, one parameter in measuring a local finance accountability to be free from abuse of power is by providing justice value as stated in the fifth principle of Pancasila. Pancasila is Indonesia’s life philosophy. However, the present local finance accountability fails to accommodate the justice value of Pancasila as it has been centering around political relations amongst institutions, regardless of whether it has provided justice value or not. The local finance accountability without social justice value of Pancasila fails to achieve the main objective of the regional autonomy, which consequently have an impact on the social life at the nationhood and statehood levels, and finally damages the social system of the nation. Since the local finance accountability without justice value of Pancasila has a negative impact on the administration of the local government, the mechanism for local finance accountability should give room for the society/social groups participation to check whether the local finance accountability has accommodated the justice value or not. If not, such accountability needs to be reevaluated.

This study aims to describe the content presentation process of 2.5-D musicals (theatre performances from stories of popular Japanese culture such as anime, manga, and game) of NARUTO –Akatsuki no Shirabe– (hereafter referred to as NARUTO –AnS–) from manga to on-stage performance and to understand the motivation behind its adaptation. This study is conducted through text analysis method in order to map the presentation difference from manga to on-stage theatre, and through literature study. From this study it is found that there are several adjustments in NARUTO –AnS– in order to fulfil requirements in its new medium, though in some areas still remain loyal to its adapted work. Its loyalty towards the adapted work is to fulfil requirements of the new medium; to meet its creative an economic motivations. This study reveals that in accordance to Balodis’ theory, loyalty towards the adapted work is based on two motivations, creative and economical motivation.

This study discusses the antecedents of online review and buying orientation on purchase intention. This study aims to explore the effect of online review and buying orientation towards purchase intention. Data was collected from a survey of 346 consumers, and SmartPLS was used as a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) tool to analyze data. This study developed four hypotheses. The results of this study showed that buying orientation does not have a significant effect on purchase intention, type of review has a significant effect on purchase intention, brand orientation has a greater effect than quality orientation to purchase intention, and perceived informativeness has a greater effect than source credibility to purchase intention. The findings of this study differed from those of previous research. Consumers feel that their shopping orientation has no direct effect on purchase intention. However, the various opinions and information obtained by consumers through e-WOM help them to make purchasing decisions. In Indonesia, consumers are still more concerned with brands than quality. Similarly, information received by consumers is also more important than the credibility of the information source itself.

With globalization, threats by the entry of foreign firms are inevitable, and firms are pushed to continuously innovate to remain competitive in the ever-evolving market. To remain innovative and counter the threats from foreign firms, be it product or services, local firms start to seek international collaborations. Through international collaborations, local firms then have access to technology and knowledge for innovation. Existing research has indicated that smaller businesses are less able to form international collaborative innovation owing to their limited capability. While the extant literature focuses on the role of government in fostering innovation, less is known about the role of university, more so on what Indonesia can learn from the West. This research adopts qualitative research method with longitudinal data covering a duration of 4 years. Using a government funded innovation program run by Lancaster University in United Kingdom (UK), we provide preliminary result analysis as a basis to work further to contribute to our knowledge on international collaborative innovation.
