Advances in computer technology have made this technology part of everyone's daily life. This in turn has created a demand for various applications to run on different machines. Java programming language was introduced to address this demand. However, to execute the Java programs, the computers must have a machine, called Java Virtual Machine (JVM) that translates its generic codes to machine-specific instructions. Traditionally, JVMs have been implemented in software. This is primarily due to the inherent flexibility of software. However, software JVMs often suffer from their lower speed and memory overhead. Consequently, some efforts have been put into hardware implementations of a JVM. These hardware implementations were not safe from those problems as well. In this paper, a new architecture for hardware implementation of Java Virtual Machine is proposed. This architecture mitigates the problems that hardware implementations of Java Virtual Machine typically have. The proposed architecture is appropriate for designers who use FPGAs as their development platform, or use IP cores in their designs.

The paper presents the method of increasing of the response time of the sensors of different physical magnitudes with the high output resistance, for example, the photodiodes for the optical systems of the digital information transmission. The features of method of the correction circuit of the current-voltage converters, which compensates the influence of the parasitic capacitance of the load on its bandwidth and settling time of the transient process, are considered.

The circuit method of the frequency-response compensation of the input analog section (AS) of the high speed ADCs with the cascade connection of the reference resistors, based on the creation of special conditions for extending of its bandwidth from 200 MHz up to 4÷10 GHz is suggested. The analytical relations for the base block scheme of AS that render possible to calculate the elements of the frequency compensation depending upon the capacitance numerical values of the parasitic capacitors equivalent at the inputs of comparators of ADCs are obtained.

Many state machine based strategies return complete but infinite test suites. A usual approach to guarantee the fault coverage with respect to some kind of faults is to limit the number of faults, i.e., to consider a finite fault domain. In this paper, we summarize some results on deriving complete test suites w.r.t. infinite faults domains but w.r.t. special types of the specification machine.

We consider 3D+1D nonlinear Schrödinger equation, which describes non-stationary propagation of laser beam. Optical radiation evolution in time is described by taking into account the first order dispersion. To enhance efficiency and accuracy of the computer simulation, we develop adaptive artificial boundary conditions those use information about the nonlinear Schrödinger equation solution near artificial boundaries. Consequently, our artificial boundary condition uses a local wave number that varies both in time and in corresponding spatial coordinates. As rule, the constant wave number was used in such kind of boundary conditions early. To construct the conservative finite-difference scheme for nonlinear Schrödinger equation with artificial boundary conditions we propose two-step iterative process, because widely used split-step method does not possess conservatism of finite-difference scheme with respect to Hamiltonian of the system. We make a short comparison of mentioned methods for the problem with zero-value boundary conditions.

The paper presents a new approach for detection of broken rotor bar fault in squirrel cage induction motors operating under varying load conditions. A mathematical model used in the presented method was developed using winding function approach to provide indication references for induction motor parameters under load variation. The model shows a strong relationship between broken rotor bar fault and stator current. The method is based on analysis of stator current using discrete wavelet transform. To verify the proposed method a squirrel cage induction motor with 1, 2 and 3 broken bars at no-load, half- and full-load conditions was investigated. Obtained experimental results confirmed the validity of the proposed approach.

The paper discusses modelling of transport company management systems in a competitive environment. In order to analyse behaviour of the competing transport companies were modelled using an object-oriented structure. The criterion function applied for optimisation and implemented in the model was defined. The performance algorithm of a competitive environment was developed. To verify the proposed approach the model of transport company operating in a completive environment was simulated using AnyLogic software platform.

This work is aimed to describe a cognitive traffic management system (CTMS) based on the Internet of Things approach. Telecommunication technologies, which can be used for the system development and deployment, are analyzed. Smart traffic light integration is proposed as a replacement of the existing traffic lights. The main purpose of such replacement is to optimize traffic management processes which are made by government authorities. Smart traffic light integration excludes mistakes caused by human factor. Proposed approach can be used as a part of e-government system in further.
