Cyber-physical systems are increasingly being used in all industries. However, as the distribution of these systems grows, the number of attacks on them increases. The paper covers main cyber- hysical systems building technologies, implemented security measures, advantages, disadvantages and vulnerabilities of such systems. The authors also provide a general approach to ensuring cyber- hysical systems security.

A permanent magnet synchronous motor electromagnetic torque control algorithms providing high dynamic performances based on the nonlinear automatic control theory were developed and studied. The new nonlinear control algorithm, called «differential control», that provides accurate torque control with a quick response, was developed. This algorithm is based on equality of controlled variable derivative sign and its error sign.

This article presents a way to implement the subsystem for steganalysis of digital images circulating in the information system. This subsystem expands the functionality of existing intrusion detection / prevention systems in terms of detecting covert channels used in computer attacks. In the presented solution, a parametric model of a convolutional neural network is proposed and implemented to detect a payload in digital images, performed by a number of steg-nesting algorithms recognized in real attacks. A software implementation of a modular generator of a training sample (dataset) that supports these algorithms has been developed. An experimental assessment of the accuracy has been carried out

An observation of surface waters is of a great importance for environmental, hydrological research, as well as practical applications and for the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. This article deals with the issue of detection and monitoring of surface waters using optical remote sensing by the MODIS multispectral satellite instrument. The current status and problems in this area are briefly discussed. The water detection is based on an analysis of NDVI vegetation index values calculated from measurements throughout the year from a clear division by value of plant, snow or water index values. Based on this, a spatio-temporal mask of water objects or a mask is built, the pixels of which are only used to analyze the values of the vegetation index. Next, the graphs of spatiotemporal dynamics of water mask pixels and construct smoothed values are considered. The following step is related to the search in these dependencies for the moment of opening of the river from winter ice and freezing of the river. A description is given of the processing of real measurements for the territory of the Ob-Tom interfluve, in the region of the city of Tomsk.

The appraisal of cyber security threats is necessary to create of the cyber security threat model. The results of appraisal shall apply for choosing information security measures. In February 2021, the new methodical document issued by the Russian Federal Service for export control of engineering technologies has gone into effect, and is obligatory to follow by all organizations. The paper presents the approach to ensure the automation of irrelevant cyber security threats ejection. The automation is done by developing the expert system. The knowledge base of expert system is created, and the methodology for its creating is described in the paper. The key terms for the expert system are worded. The flow chart of expert system is shown. The experimental results of knowledge base launching in manual mode are given. A part of the paper is devoted to a justification for choosing the expert system as an automatization method. The expert systems are compared to a «smarter» artificial intelligence method (artificial neural networks). As a result, the conclusions about efficiency of produced knowledge base are provided and the necessity of creating a more user friendly interface and rule engine is made evident.

The paper highlights the problem of building and adjusting robust neural networks applying different loss functions for solving the classification problem. The considered functions are those of Cauchy, Meshalkin, Geman-McCluer, Charbonnier and Tukey’s Biweight losses. The accuracy of classification is examined for the different values of outliers’ fraction, for several values of learning epochs count and for datasets with various sizes. For all obtained networks the parameter values that maximize the accuracy, are defined. The best practices for choosing the parameter values depending on epoch count are also defined for all the loss functions. The ordinary neural network (with quadratic loss) and the robust neural network applying the Huber loss are also considered. The analysis of the results shows that the use of robust approach can significantly increase the learning rate and the classification accuracy, however, choosing the incorrect parameter value can decrease the accuracy of classification.
