MR material is widely used in aerospace engineering for its porosity and dry friction damping characteristics. The paper studied theoretically and experimentally the damping characteristics of metal rubber damper used in the flexible supporting of turbo-pump rotor of aircraft engine. It investigated the method for calculating damping coefficient and stiffness of the damper loaded with an external rotary force. In addition, the study also analyzed the effect of the structure parameters, such as relative density, which along with loading condition, were proved to be two key factors in determining the damping performance of the damper

Bit error rate of two-user cooperation over the uplink scheme frequency selective Rayleigh fading channel is presented in this paper. The time division multiple access (TDMA) scheme and the half-duplex mode of transmission are assumed. The network architecture is defined as symmetrical structure. We analyze the bit error rate of BPSK two-user cooperation in various relaying protocols where the perfect channel state information is available at the receiver. The relaying protocols are considered as amplify-and-forward, decode-and-forward, selection, and incremental relaying. We investigated the effects of various interuser SNRs on the performance. The result shows that the higher interuser SNRs, the better bit error rate performance. From the bit error rate performance comparison of all relaying protocols illustrates that the incremental relaying protocol give the best performance. This is the result of limited feedback in the incremental relaying from the destination yield a great improvement on the system performance

As the number of Earth observing satellites increases, the opportunity of observation is much enhanced. Through coordination, several satellites can observe more area than single satellite in a given time horizon. Counterwise to this advantage, the scheduling problem of observations is NP-hard in computational complexity. Although the study on satellites scheduling problem has attracted much attention for years, those proposed researches are merely concerning spot targets which can not satisfy the requirements of observing area targets. This article presents the study of a satellites coordinating system, which can effectively coordinate imaging activities of satellites to meet the requirement of observing area targets

Hemispherical resonator gyro (HRG) is a kind of high precision gyro that has wide application perspective. It's working bases on inertia of excited standing wave of rotatory symmetric enclosure. This paper is focus on the basic principle of atomic function, which is based on R-function. Atomic function has a series of advantages. Later, I will show several resolutions of the function of up(x). Meanwhile, I also give another atomic function fupn (x), and use fupn (x) to analyze the vibration model based on the dynamics. According to the insufficiencies existing in Dempster-Shafer theory of evidence when it deals with the conflicting evidences, many scholars have presented modified rules based on reallocation of the basic probability assigned to conflict. A new combination rule is presented to mend the disadvantages of the rules. This rule analyzes the validity of evidence set according as the extent of conflict with the use of the reliability of evidential sources and support measure of the evidence, and realizes information fusion rationally. Experiments shows that the new combination rule overcomes the limitations, and the outputs are constringent on the aspect of rationality, which enhances robustness of systems effectively

Reaction wheels are main actuators of satellite attitude control systems. If a mechanical failure of one out of four reaction wheels occurs, it should be detected quickly and the controller need be reconfigured to restore three-axis control using healthy reaction wheels. To realize fault tolerant control, a predictive filter is applied to obtain information of states and faults. Considering the actual reaction torques on wheels as unknown inputs, they can be estimated by a predictive filter with states. Based on this algorithm wheel faults can be diagnosed. In this paper, a controller reconfiguration structure using a predictive filter is presented and the usefulness of this method is illustrated by a simulation to a three-axis stable attitude control system of a satellite

A fault tolerance design on onboard computer (OBC) is proposed that allows commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) devices to be incorporated into dual processing modules of onboard computer. The processing module is composed of 32-bit ARM RISC processor and other COTS devices. As well as, a set of fault handling mechanisms is implemented in the computer system. The onboard software was organized around a set of processes that communicate between each other through a routing process. The fault tolerant onboard computer has excellent data processing capability and is enough to meet the demands of the extremely tight constraints on mass, volume, power consumption and space environmental conditions

The state-space equation of the hydrostatic transmission system with secondary regulation is derived and the exact linearization method of nonlinear system is proposed to transform the nonlinear system into a linear controllable one by coordinates transformation and state-space feedback. Based on the linearization model, the control law is achieved through optimal control theory of linear quadratic regulator. At the same time, the influences on system performance of weight matrix are discussed. Finally, the simulation results show that the system with designed controller is not only free from the system steady error and overshoot, but also has good robust ability

This paper presents a novel method for edge detection based on multiscale wavelet features and fuzzy c-means clustering. Firstly, an effective feature extraction algorithm using multiscale wavelet transform was proposed to extract classification features, thus the feature vector for each pixel was gained, which contained the gradient information in various directions; and then, these vectors were used as inputs for the fuzzy c-means clustering algorithm, which resulted in an automatic classification. In this way, the edge map can be obtained adaptively. Some comparisons with traditional edge detection algorithms were given in this paper. Experimental results demonstrated that the proposed method had a more satisfying performance

We propose a novel method that applies least-square support vector machines (LS-SVM) to denoising of impulse response signal for aircraft flight flutter test. This method is based on time series prediction using LS-SVM. Since the signal to noise ratio (SNR) varies with amplitude for the decaying property of damped sinusoid, the beginning data points with high SNR is used for training and prediction of the subsequent data with low SNR. In order to improve the performance of denoising, singular value decomposition (SVD) filtering is employed for signal preprocessing. Finally, the simulations and experiment on real flight test data demonstrate effectiveness and efficiency of our approach
