Many lessons can be drawn and learned for the lives of Muslims from the guidance in the hadiths of the Prophet. Through the Medina Charter itself, the Prophet Muhammad also taught Muslims social attitudes. During the Prophet Muhammad’s life in Medina there was a multicultural society which included ethnic and cultural pluralism, with differences in culture, religion and ethnicity/race. Articles in the Constitution of Medina show the order and guidelines for the way of life of the state, and can be used for teaching people about the life of the nation and state. This study aims to establish how the ideal principles in such teachings are contained in the Constitution of Medina so that they can be implemented in the life of the nation in Indonesia today. The research methodology was based on a literature study approach, with the content analysis method used in relation to the Constitution of Medina. As for the results and research findings, the pillars of the teachings on state life in the Constitution of Medina are trust, obedience, justice, deliberation, equality, unity, freedom, recognition and protection of human rights, free trials, peace and prosperity.

This research aims to explain the philosophy of tasawuf Hamzah Fansri in Nusantara Islam. The textual research method was employed to interpret the contents in the manuscripts of tasawuf falsafi in Aceh, especially regarding tasawuf falsafi, which Hamzah Fansūrī developed. The study findings confirm that Hamza Fansūrī's philosophical tasawuf thought is "symbolic-comtemplative" and attempts to locate the exploration of the symbols that are highlighted as the essence and substance of the teachings of philosophical tasawuf. There is a misunderstanding about philosophical Sufism, especially by other parties who try to observe and assess the substance of the teachings of philosophical Sufism, which is a natural thing. Criticism of Hamzah Fansurī's philosophical tasawuf thoughts, especially those made by Nūr al-Dīn al-Ranīrī, is commonplace and reasonable in the scientific realm of Islam. However, the accusation of slander and the opinion that Hamzah Fansurī has gone astray and deviated from Islamic principles is something common sense cannot accept. Hamzah Fansurī's thoughts related to Wujudiyah's views are widespread and have not only developed in Aceh. The originality of this study is that it confirms that philosophical Sufism has a symbolic and implicit aspect and characteristics that are difficult to understand. Therefore, if one is trapped in a narrow understanding of symbols, then philosophical Sufism is only a "skin" which is different from the substance or "content" inside.

Puppet stories or shows are literary works that contain didactic moral problems and aesthetic elements. Puppet shows also contain extensive guidelines (piwulang), such as religious values, philosophy, ethics, and character education for human life. Furthermore, the puppet has noble values as role models and illustrations of daily human life (pathet) and crucial to build character and national identity. This study aims to describe and elaborate on the philosophical meaning of the Purwa Puppet of Gagrag Ngayogyakarta style performance, especially the scene of Arjuna’s asceticism or Begawan Ciptaning. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data analysis techniques using content analysis. The results of this study indicate the role model of Arjunawiwaha’s story, especially the scene of Arjuna’s asceticism. This scene contains moral values, such as Arjuna’s firmness and persistence in trying to get closer to the essence of the world’s rulers. Another value is devotion to parents and the state, and leadership. The values found in the puppet stories are also relevant to nowadays life and are linked to Islamic thoughts.

The focus of this study is to reveal the religious dimension as a story and the Qur’an and Hadith as ideas and sources of stories in Ahmad Tohari’s works. The method used in this study is a descriptive interpretive method. Data were collected through literature study, interviews, and observations. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative content analysis techniques. The result is that Ahmad Tohari’s works are a sublimation of religious values derived from the Qur’an and Hadith. Ahmad Tohari uses the two sources of Islamic law as a source of stories. Thus, although Ahmad Tohari’s works are known as literary works of human value, they contain religious values or religiosity. Many short stories and novels have raised issues about the economic and social life of the community or the marginalized. However, the work is a literary work that has conditions with religious and prophetic values originating from the Qur’an and Hadith and makes religion a story.

The traditional games of kaili children, nogarata, nomaca, and gunrece, are formed from socio-cultural processes influenced by the spirit of Islam. His paradigm of play shifted from the sacred and mystical to the educational and Islamic paradigm that positioned traditional games as a vehicle for educating and shaping morals. The purpose of this study is to find, identify, and explain the traditional game paradigm of the Kaili tribe in the context of sociocultural, educational, and Islamic (Islamic ethnoeducation). The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method that aims to obtain and obtain the results of phenomena in aspects of Islamic ethnoeducation in the traditional game of the Kaili Tribe. Intensive data collection is carried out with engaged observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis is performed using ethnographic principles through domain analysis, taxonomic analysis, and component analysis. The result of his research is that the traditional games of the Kaili people, nogarata, nomaca, and gunrece, are formed and distributed in socio-cultural, educational, and Islamic dynamics. Socio-culture is a source of creation and value systems; education becomes the pragmatics of the use of traditional children's games for teaching or educational purposes; while Islam became an identity that changed the socio-cultural paradigm and became an important value system in the traditional game of the Kaili Tribe. With the Islamic paradigm, the traditional game of Kaili tribe children becomes a game carried out with the aim of distributing and internalizing Islamic values, especially in the good morals of children.

This paper studies the Islamic ruwat tradition as a manifestation of the encounter between Islam and local culture in Java within the framework of the Islam Nusantara discourse. This study begins with a literature survey enriched with qualitative field research. Informants in this research are religious leaders as well as community leaders who have knowledge and experience about ruwatan. The data that has been collected is then analyzed qualitatively according to the research focus. The results of this study found that an ruwat islami tradition is a form of harmonization between Islamic teachings and Javanese culture that is still sustainable today.
