To study the effect of the vehicle's figure simplification on the vehicle's lift force, an 1∶1 scaled vehicle model was applied as the study object. Simulations for the vehicle with four different simplified figures were carried using CFD method. By comparing and analyzing the obtained results, the reasons for the differences among the four kinds of figures were found out. And the error ranges for them were provided. The results showed that in the early automobile design stage, to study the vehicle's lift force, the simplified figure of the vehicle could be used. Thus could save time and resource effectively and shorten the design cycle.

The new petroleum coke slurry fuel supply system was adopted in a R180 diesel engine, which was modified into the engine fueled with petroleum coke slurry. An investigation was carried out in the modified engine fueled with petroleum coke slurry. The engine fueled with 30 wt.% petroleum coke slurry could run steadily. The comparison test to velocity characteristic between engine fueled with 30 wt.% petroleum coke slurry and engine fueled with No. 0 diesel fuel was performed at full load running condition and at partial load running condition(75% load and 50% load). The test result showed that when burning petroleum coke slurry the specific fuel consumption was increased compared with that when burning diesel fuel. The brake torque and the brake power of the engine fueled with petroleum coke slurry were decreased compared with the engine fueled with diesel fuel, and the exhaust temperature of the engine fueled with petroleum coke slurry was similar to that of the engine fueled with diesel fuel.

The EM iterative algorithm is commonly used in recent years for missing data, which has the character of easy and popular applicability. But the EM algorithm has a weakness that is slow convergence speed. A new acceleration algorithm is proposed which unifys the EM iterative algorithm and the Aitken acceleration method in order to solve the problem. Using the Aitken-EM acceleration algorithm to analysis the multiuser detection under the Non-Gaussian noise simulation, the results show that the proposed algorithm has a good performance, and compare with EM algorithm, the convergence speed is better than standard EM algorithm.

The energy efficiency of the battery is the proportional relation between the net energy change of the battery and energy that input from the outside or output to the outside. The energy efficiency of a Ni-MH battery (40Ah) was studied by testing and theoretical analysis in order to improve the control precision of hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and the battery useful life. A test stand for testing the energy efficiency of the Ni-MH battery was established. The data from experiments of constant, pulse current energy efficiency performed on the Ni-MH battery were analyzed. Based on the experimental results, mathematical model of net energy of the battery was proposed by function-fitting methods, and the effects of current and state of charge (SOC) on energy efficiency were analyzed. Theoretical analysis and experimental results suggest that charge and discharge energy efficiency of Ni-MH battery are above 90% within the range of 30%–80% SOC, and the effect of current on energy efficiency is greater than that of SOC, which provide theoretical basis for selection of batteries and dynamic optimizing technology of HEV system controlling strategy.

This paper discusses a distributed cable harness tester based on CAN bus, which has a few functions such as connection detecting of a wire, diode orientation testing and resistor's impedance testing. In this article, application layer protocal design is researched on in particular in order to improve the tester's performance, and the software design of upper computer and the framework of handware of tester nodes are introduced in details. The tester is designed to ensure quality and reliability of cable harness. Through detecting, early failure products such as breakage circuit, short circuit and wrong conductor arrangement can be rejected. So it improves the efficiency of detection.

Adaptive fuzzy inference system (AFIS) approach is utilized to combine fuzzy logic with variable universe, according to the input/output data, so that AFIS automatically adjusts fuzzy rules and membership functions based on state synthesis to fit sampling data. The article presents a two improved adaptive fuzzy traffic controller for the intersection. On the basis of the phase saturation, the fuzzy controller determines the next phase. Then we can get different external time for current phase by the saturation of current and next phases. The simulation result shows that it is better than the traditional controllers.

A kind of small scale solar irrigation control system based on FPGA is realized in this paper. The design which is composed of variable step MPPT algorithm, multiple SPWM output, motor control and the corresponding display module can drive the motor through energy storage devices and power converters. The language of verilog is used and the software of modelsim is adopted to verify the design.

The mathematical model of temperature field and fluid field in tundish was established through mathematical simulation of computer. The results showed that the two high temperature regions were formed corresponding the two recirculation regions in the tundish; In the normal casting proceeds, the insert position of temperature measurement sensor of tundish was no limitation, the superheat difference was within 2 °C of measurement point and the outlet of liquid steel.

The paper designs a VGA image and writing display controller with FPGA chip based on EDA technology. The system designs VGA display control module with VHDL, produces the image signal and the control signal with FPGA. In the process of designing the system deposited the color image and the writing information through the LPM module transfer, finally completes video data processing through the simulation and downloading only based on the single chip. This design has achieved a request in the area and speed easily.

In the simulation of power electronic devices, the high-power switching devices, such as IGBT and IGCT, has been treated as an ideal switching device due to its fast switching characteristics and complex electromagnetic characteristics. Although the ideal model has the best switching characteristics, the switching losses of the real device working in high-frequency can not be ignored. This paper discussed the necessity and difficulty of real-time simulation on IGBT, and three relevant methods at the base of single-cycle-delay have been proposed according to a simulation model, experiments have shown that real-time simulation of the device can be achieved quickly and accurately by the methods proposed in this paper.
