To satisfy the requirement of measuring high shock acceleration for hard target smart fuze, a double-end fixed beam structure of MEMS piezoresistive high g accelerometer is proposed. The designed sensor is based on the combination of Silicon on Insulator (SOI) solid piezoresistive material and Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technique. Based on the principle of the sensor, stress analysis and mode analysis of the accelerometer are performed with FEA (finite-element analysis), to determine the position of piezoresistor and ensure that the sensor will not be destroyed in the overload conditions. The test results, obtained by MAXITE machine and live ammunition test, show that the accelerometer can detect the acceleration of high shock successfully, and the measurement range of the accelerometer is higher than 50,000g.The designed accelerometer is ideal for the usage in the special test in high impact environments.

Conventional guidance laws which are designed based on Lyapunov theorems can not ensure the finite time convergence of guidance system. A novel second-order sliding-mode control approach with finite time convergence is presented through the use of sliding-mode control theory and is used in a maneuvering target interception scenario for a guidance law design. The first part of this guidance law has the similar structure of proportional navigation with time-varying effective navigation ratio, so that line-of-sight rate is approaching zero. However, the extension part of this guidance law has the features of line-of-sight (LoS) shaping, finite time convergence of sliding mode surface and robustness to the variation of interception missile and target velocities. The simulations with nonlinear motion model are carried out for two typical target maneuvers. The results show that this guidance law can intercept the target effectively and can satisfy the above features; in addition, it has certain adaptability to target maneuvering forms.

The non-uniformities of series connected Lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicle severely decrease the storage capacity and cycle life time of the batteries, so it is very important to research on battery equalization and management system. This paper reviews the disadvantages of previous equalization systems, and then presents a bidirectional equalization and management system applied on EV. Furthermore, two classes of control strategies for the system are analyzed. The proposed control strategies are adopted by the system, and ensure safe operation of lithium-ion batteries and enhancing battery life circle.

In the process of a spinal surgery, it may lead to dangerous situation when the surgeon is tired or by mistake, while robots have merits of accuracy and tired less. So it is meaningful to develop an assisted robot for the surgeon. This paper presents a telesurgical robot control system to help the spinal screw placement surgery for many spinal procedures presently. The telesurgical robot control system including two parts: one is the surgeon console; another is the operating robot, forming master-slave topology. This kind of topology has the feature of making it easy to realize telesurgical operations and no radiation exposure to the operating surgeons. Another feature is that a Novint Falcon haptic device is employed to give force feedback to the operator, improving the ambience of the user. A prototype system is developed and experiments have been carried out, results show the system has high accuracy and good reliability, thus the telesurgical robot control system has much market prospects.

A National IV standard SCR control system is installed on a National III standard diesel engine. After doing ESC test cycles for emission evaluation, we know the approximate transformative capacity and rule of NOx when exhausts pass the catalyst. A MATLAB/Simulink simulation model of SCR system is established. The conversion ratio in simulation and that in experiment are compared, and results show that the simulation module is reasonable.

To simulate the hydroelectric power unit dynamic behavior as accurately as possible, the nonlinear characteristics of hydroturbine is considerable. This paper presents a nonlinear model of double regulated Kaplan turbine. Radial Basis Function (RBF) networks are applied to process the synthetic characteristic curve of Kaplan turbine. This improves the fitted data's accuracy. Based on this, the nonlinear Kaplan turbine regulating system model is developed in Simulink. The digital simulations of three cases for an actual hydroelectric power plant in China were performed, and the difference between nonlinear and linear Kaplan turbine regulating system model was analyzed. The results indicate that in small fluctuate transient process, the two models' simulation results are in good agreement, but in large fluctuate transient process, the nonlinear characteristics is not negligible and the two models' simulation results are deviate from each other seriously. The nonlinear model based on RBF networks is more accurate to reflect the regulating system's nonlinear dynamic process.

This paper pointed out a kind of method to test the energy efficiency of the battery, the constant current and pulse of charge and discharge energy efficiency were analyzed. The results of analysis show the energy efficiency of battery pack is in connection with SOC and current, and the energy efficiency of LiFePO4 is higher than MH-Ni, which provide technical support for improving power characteristic of EV and HEV.

The evaluation of circularity based on the minimum circumscribed circle method is an important method suitable for the circle with the maximum material condition of a convex like a shaft. The minimum circumscribed circle is determined by a small number data points according to the criteria of the minimum circumscribed circle. This article points out the minimum circumscribed circle can be obtained only at vertices of convex hull. Based on three theorems developed, a strategy is proposed to identify the critical data points. The validated results show that the method gives an efficient approach to solve the circularity problems on the minimum circumscribed circle, especially when the number of data points is large.
