Digital platform for an effective learning 有效学习的数字化平台

Infosys Campus Connect (CC) is an industry-academia partnership initiative to evolve a model through which Infosys and engineering institutions can partner to enhance the education level of engineering students nationwide and increase employability of these engineers for growth requirements in Information Technology (IT) space. CC, therefore helps partner colleges groom Industry ready engineers. As part of this initiative, CC shares with academia its proven courseware, methodology, project samples and education experience through an effective digital collaboration platform named as Campus Connect portal. The objective is to provide a Digital Collaboration Platform for Academia-Industry interaction on anytime, anywhere basis. This paper focuses on how CC portal offers fast and secure access to high quality technical and soft skills courseware, course videos, assessments, project samples, web based seminars, interview skills and other materials for students and faculty members across partnering colleges.

Digital communication using LabVIEW 使用LabVIEW进行数字通信

In this work it is proposed to demonstrate usage of LABVIEW simulation platform to help comprehend concepts in the Under Graduate course on `Digital Communication'. We begin with topics covered in the course and discuss topics that can be introduced using the LabVIEW platform. Some concepts introduced are: sampling theorem, base band transmission, digital modulation, PRBS generator. The course concludes with an introduction to the OFDM concept. One principal advantage of the platform is that it is easy to use and quick to implement, as compared to the hardware platform. Since every student implements the code on an individual basis, the learning component is high.

Private university establishment in Maharashtra: A solution to avoid failure of private university and Phd program 马哈拉施特拉邦私立大学的建立:避免私立大学和博士课程失败的解决方案

In spite of establishment of many private and state universities in India, the demand for university education in the last 20 years is far greater than the supply. There has been unsatisfied supply of university education in India since the 1990/91 academic year when over 60% of candidates demanding for university education failed to secure admissions. The Government of India has approved guidelines for the establishment of higher institutions of learning in India which are contained in the Education (UGC & AICET). There is also the Education Act of an India, 1987. Some of the guidelines are that: An institution of Higher Education may be sponsored or owned by the Government of the State or Local Government or by a Company incorporated in India or by an individual or association of individuals who are citizens of India, and who satisfy the criteria set out in the Schedule to the law for establishment of institutions. In 2003, the UGC of India passed a law permitting establishment of private universities. The private university act mandates the state body as well as UGC to regulate and undertake quality control of the content and curricula of academic programs. It is noticed that some newly approved private universities not following UGC Regulation 2009 which leads to failure of doctoral candidates who takes admission referring to allowed universities list from UGC Web site.

Imparting technical skills through outcome based curriculum and case study assessments 通过基于结果的课程和案例研究评估来传授技术技能

Knowledge, skill and attitude are three necessary ingredients for the success of fresh graduates both in terms of learning and employability. It is important to identify suitable teaching methodology to impart transferable skills to the participants. Outcome based curricula and experiential learning pedagogies create positive influence among participants towards learning. In this paper, Java web development course is considered describing course level outcomes connected with company's entry level program level outcomes. Case studies are used as assessment instruments towards measuring the abilities of the participants aligned with expected skills from entry level developers specific to Java Technology stream. Two approaches are discussed where the first approach uses normal class room delivery and the second approach just-in-time and scenario based approach. In the former one the software engineering and java concepts are covered as factual knowledge components where as in the second approach, an attempt is made to integrate process knowledge components from software engineering together with Java technology concepts using business scenario as a vehicle. The performance of the participants with respect to their case study deliverables is compared with two approaches. These results highlight importance of an integrated approach towards curriculum design and adopting appropriate teaching, assessment instruments towards imparting technical skills.

Seeing helps us understand better is an old saying. In engineering sciences, with the flurry of multimedia technologies, teaching and learning paradigms have shifted, problem-solving methods have evolved, optimization is the new buzzword and mathematical and scientific analyses have taken the front row for working. In this work we have explored the objectives of studying and understanding the elements and initial nuances of gaming; reasoning how the work created by students have helped them map to the concepts of computer graphics; studying the characterization of game movers; and studying the impact on learning using animation as a tool. These objectives have been studies using the case studies of games; and by designing and developing these games have assisted in the better perception of concepts of graphics and how tools can be used to present these ideas so as to make learning a passion rather than an anxiety.

Developing a process of making an efficient engineer 培养一名高效工程师的过程

Necessity is the mother of invention. Scientists and engineers contribute a lot in developing new technologies and making various innovations. Engineering students need to be guided by subject experts possessing good teaching skills. There are more than 3,495 engineering colleges in the country, with total intake capacity of 17.6 lakh students but as many as 4,521 faculty positions are lying vacant in 16 IITs due to inadequacy of competent engineering teachers. The aptitude of the engineering students is not assessed before allowing them to join the course and faculty is not given the training for necessary teaching skills. This paper is an effort to present various measures that can be adopted by the engineering colleges to develop the competencies in teachers and the students while maintaining equilibrium between the demands of the course, society and the need of the profession.

The impact of Linux (Free Open Source Software) in Spoken-Tutorial a part of “MOOC” Linux(自由开源软件)对“MOOC”的影响

The Free Open Source Software is a growing concern for Massive Open Online Courses. The Spoken-Tutorial is a program for the literate people who belong to the Information system environment. Spoken Tutorials Organize workshops focusing on “MOOC”. The Massive Open Online Course is a response to the challenges faced by organizations in order to collect related information of several matters. Spoken-Tutorial is prepared from the term that “information is everywhere” as a social network, you are a clickware of this digital world. A world where internet is a medium to access mass information. So, MOOC is the one way of learning in this digital social network world. MOOC is a course-Open, Participatory, Distributed and Lifelong networked learning. It has facility of various courses, with start, end dates and participants. It's a way to connect and collaborate while developing digital skills an engage in a learning process. It is an EVENT around which people who care about a topic can gather and talk about it in a structured way. MOOC can promote the network learning for lifelong. People that have reputations for interesting skills and innovative thinking besides a topic, collaborate by opening an online course covering that topic. Anyone can join it. In a MOOC we can choose what we want to do, how we want to participate and we can decide if we have been successful, just like an existing atmosphere. Tutorials on almost all the Free open source are run by Spoken tutorials which is available on the internet and is provided by the team of spoken tutorial project. In this analysis we have mentioned all the steps of spoken tutorial courses and have took a survey from computer engineering students who are currently being taught Linux as their course laboratory and subject. This survey contained the questions related to the spoken tutorial for FOSS Linux and mode to organize the workshop.

In this analysis we have mentioned all the steps of spoken tutorial courses and have took a survey from computer engineering students who are currently being taught Linux as their course laboratory and subject. Psychology missing from elementary education! A psychologically striking epiphany! 小学教育缺少心理学!心理上惊人的顿悟!

I have a set of very simple questions which are pondered by most of us, almost daily: I do not feel like studying. What should I do? I am not good at memorizing theory. How do I enhance my memorizing skills? I am short-tempered. How do I manage anger? I constantly feel like smoking. How do I deal with this craving? I am feeling low today. What should I do? The science of psychology can answer all these questions. But surprisingly, we are never taught psychology as a mandatory science. The World Health Organization has defined health as "a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity". Today's curriculum gives more stress on physical well-being and, contrastingly, very less stress on mental well-being. The question arises “should psychology not be taught in elementary school curriculum?” Of course it should be!

Seeing successive decline over the years in the understanding of core concepts of circuit theory and consequent inefficiency of its application to circuit analysis problems, it was deemed necessary to conduct some experiments to aid the learning of this subject. This article outlines the steps taken, the methodology adopted and the results garnered in this experimentation with cooperative and collaborative learning.

Hybrid data mining approach for intrusion detection using modified AODV algorithm 基于改进AODV算法的混合数据挖掘入侵检测方法

Ad-hoc networks are collection of self-organized, autonomous nodes (routers) and capable to communicate directly with neighbors' node through broadcast packet in within transmission range. Ad hoc network has a primary concern to provide protected communication between mobile nodes. In transmission channel, nodes can be a malicious node and compromise or breaches service, which makes security extremely challenging. Our major focus is to discuss the feasibility of monitoring the nodes of different networks, and analyze it for providing better security. Data mining techniques used to classify for large aggregate data according classification rules and patterns, to detect or identify malicious node. In this paper Idea is based on k-Mediods clustering algorithm to form cluster with high detection rate based on intrusion behavior or normal behavior.
