Design and analysis of microstrip DGS patch antenna with enhanced bandwidth for Ku Band applications Ku波段增强带宽微带DGS贴片天线的设计与分析

A wide band Microstrip antenna with defected ground plane structure is proposed for Ku Band applications. The design procedure is presented and characteristics of the antenna are analyzed. A 50-ohm Microstrip line is used to excite the circular slot integrated in ground plane. The measured results demonstrate that the structure exhibits a wide impedance bandwidth of 56.67% ranging from 9.8 GHz to 17.55 GHz, which covers Ku-band and partially X-band. Within the band, stable radiation characteristics are observed. The designed antenna has a gain ranging from 5dBi to 12.1dBi in impedance bandwidth range. Isolation of about 20dB is observed between the co-polar and cross-polarization level.

Characterization of textile substrate to design a textile antenna 纺织基板的特性以设计纺织天线

The introduction of intelligent textile system to increase the wearer's level of protection has exposed the necessity of wearable communication tools and has led to research in textile antennas. So-called “wearable textile systems” are intended to improve the quality of life by enhancing the wearer's functionalities. Garments having the ability to monitor bio signals and communicate with the environment can, for example, provide continuous information about a person's state of health. However, wireless communication with the environment requires antennas. When preserving textile properties such as flexibility and comfort is an issue, antennas should be made fully integratable into garments and, thus, manufactured from textile material. In this paper, we describe the design, manufacture, and performance of the rectangular microstrip antenna on a textile substrate which shows the feasibility of the use of textile materials in the design of antennas working in the dedicated 831.94MHz frequency range.

Comprehensive study on deconvolution and denoising of LiDAR back-scattered signal 激光雷达背散射信号的反褶积与去噪综合研究

Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) is an efficient tool for remote sensing and for target detection. This technology has been used for years with a variety of applications. One of the major challenges in the field of LiDAR is the resolution enhancement. Improvement of the resolution may be achieved by applying the deconvolution of the measured signal with the system response function. However, the deconvolution process itself is a noise sensitive process. Recent progresses of signal processing techniques in the area of LiDAR are reviewed. Extensive reviews of such techniques are presented. In this paper the LiDAR system equation, operation, and signal processing techniques like Fourier based deconvolution, regularized deconvolution, and Fourier wavelet based regularized deconvolution, Richardson-Lucy algorithm and non-negative least square method of deconvolution are discussed.

Compact multiband monopole antenna for wireless applications 用于无线应用的紧凑型多波段单极天线

Monopole antenna with a multiband and wideband characteristics is proposed. The substrate used is RT/Duroid 5880. The antenna has a compact size of 20×24×1 mm3 with an F-shaped slot in its ground plane and a pair of circular and rectangular slots in the upper patch. A wide bandwidth of 172, 1758 and 601 MHz is obtained with a centre frequency of 3.44, 5.28 and 7.12 GHz respectively. In order to achieve a multiband and wideband, the relative positions and dimensions of the slot are adjusted. By IE3D simulation software, the impedance bandwidth and radiation pattern were simulated. The bandwidth of the proposed antenna is wider than the bandwidth of the antenna under reference.

Thinned concentric hexagonal antenna array synthesis using Craziness based Particle Swarm Optimization 基于疯狂度的粒子群优化方法合成薄同心六角形天线阵列

This paper describes optimal thinning of Concentric Hexagonal Array (CHA) of uniformly excited isotropic antennas which can generate directive beam with minimum relative Side Lobe Level (SLL). The Craziness Based Particle Swarm Optimization (CRPSO) method, which represents a new approach for optimization problems in electromagnetics, is used in the optimization process. The CRPSO is used to determine an optimal set of `ON-OFF' elements that provide a radiation pattern with maximum SLL reduction. The simulation results show that the number of antenna array elements can be brought down to 60% of total isotropic elements with simultaneous reduction in SLL with an approximately fixed first null beam width (FNBW). Conventional Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is also adopted to compare the results of above CRPSO.

This paper describes a solar power satellite system as an application of a large-scaled phased array antenna. Key technologies are extracted, and their solutions are presented. Consequently, a paradigm shift from a-la-carte production to mass-production is pointed out.

Land cover classification using EM algorithm based multi-polarized ALOS PALSAR image fusion 基于EM算法的多极化ALOS PALSAR图像融合土地覆盖分类

In this paper, an attempt has been made to improve information of an image by fusion technique, so it may be more effectively used. Full polarimetric images of ALOS PALSAR are fused by exploiting the nice properties of Expectation Maximization (EM) algorithm. Maximum likelihood classifier is applied on the composite unfused singlet and fused doublet images and results are compared on the basis of producer, user, overall accuracies and Kappa Coefficient.

Stimulated Raman scattering based all-optical logic inverter using tellurite fiber 基于受激拉曼散射的碲光纤全光逻辑逆变器

In this paper we propose a model for fiber based all-optical cascadable logic inverter. Working principle of the inverter is based on the theory of stimulated Raman scattering. A Maximum Product Criteria (MPC) for noise margin is taken to analyze the cascadability of the inverter. Variation of noise margin with pump power is also studied.

Partice Swarm Optimization based fusion of MODIS and PALSAR images for hotspot detection 基于粒子群算法的MODIS和PALSAR图像融合热点检测

SAR images have the capability to detect and identify various features of lands on the basis of scattering behavior of the targets. It is observed that various features like soil moisture, roughness, crop health and crop growth etc., can be easily detected with SAR, but detection of subsurface fire (hotspot) with SAR images has to be explored. Therefore, in this paper we have explored the possibility of detection of hotspots with fully polarimetric SAR images. Several polarimetric indices like CPR (Cross Polarization Ratio), HV/HH and HV/VV have been extensively studied on PALSAR (Phased Array type L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar) data to check the sensitivity of detection of subsurface fire by which proper indices can be selected to detect hotspots. Many researchers were using high resolution optical and thermal images for hotspot detection. But, still several challenges exist. It is known that SAR and Optical images are providing some complementary information. Therefore, in this paper, Particle Swarm optimization (PSO) based image fusion technique has been proposed to detect hotspots. SAR and Optical data i.e. MODIS (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) data are used for fusion purpose. Before fusing the MODIS, several indices like MSAVI (Modified Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index), PAVI (Purified Adjusted Vegetation Index) etc. indices were tested for their sensitivity to detect hotspots. A quite good result has been observed after fusion of SAR and MODIS data.

This paper reports time-varying and simultaneous detection of the pressure and concentration, of hazardous gases such as methane, carbon dioxide and ammonia using tunable diode laser spectroscopy (TDLS). The concentration and pressure of the gases is extracted with a time resolution of 10s, which makes this method useful in applications that require in situ, real-time measurements of several gases. A calibration-free wavelength modulation spectroscopy (WMS) approach known as the Residual Amplitude Modulation (RAM) method has been used at a modulation frequency when intensity modulation (IM) is at phase-quadrature to the frequency modulation (FM). TDLS offers the dual advantage of remote detection of gases and quantification of gas parameters. This makes them ideally suited to hazardous environments such as coal mines.
