The authors analyse the studies on the factors that influence regional growth, their criteria, and methods of calculations in cross border territories. The importance of state institutions and regional government, that take responsibility for the results of smart growth at the regional levels, is essential. In addition, the new paradigm of regional growth focuses on creative regional development, integrated and comprehensive growth with a stress on local assets and know-how. The aim of this study is to provide in-depth understanding of impact on ensuring competitiveness and smart growth in cross border regions with focus place-based approach. In the research there are used primarily qualitative and mixed comparative research methods. Theoretical and empirical research analysis was conducted as well as summarising of expert's experience within the context of smart growth and place-based competitiveness, emphasising measurable indicators and indices. Thus, the study has an interdisciplinary character (economics, sociology, governance) and a variety of research methods are applied to it.

In this paper various current criminal schemes that lead to non-payment of wages and to understating payments to social funds are revealed. The methodology of judicial economic expertise is discussed. It is proved that the economic crime investigation should be based on the criminological component, which, in its turn, in terms of economic crimes depends on the influence of many factors, including the external environment. In Russia, the informal labor market is steadily growing, which makes it necessary to prove the fact of labor relations itself, and on its basis, non-payment of wages. It is necessary to secure at the level of the Constitution a ban on informal work. It is also advisable to introduce criminal liability for the use of informal labor. All crimes in the sphere of remuneration are divided into four groups, each of which implies its own specific forensic investigation methods. While conducting judicial economic expertise in investigating labor remuneration crimes, it is advisable not only to rely on the seizure and analysis of accounting documents, but also to examine carefully all the elements of social and labor relations at the level of an enterprise. It is also necessary to analyze the activities of a company as a whole in order to understand the causes and to find out the scheme of the crime while investigating any economic crimes.

The mathematical model of boundary temperature regime for accumulation and recovery of heat in a stationary switching regenerative heat recovery unit (SRHRU) is constructed. Modelling of the boundary regime in SRHRU is based on experimental data, and it is required to develop algorithms for calculating thermal constants and the general temperature regime. The boundary temperature regime is modelled by a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations of the first order, which take into account the results of experimental observations and measurements. To determine the unknown parameters of the system of differential equations, artificial neurons are used: a two-layer perceptron is developed with three neurons on the first layer and with five neurons on the second layer.

The paper analyzes functioning of contact size adjectives in such fields as clothes, footwear, jewelry, food, face features and human body in English and Tatar languages applying digital methods, including corpus linguistic methods. The material of research is taken from the national language corpora, i.e. British National Corpus (96,263,399) and Tatar National Corpus (26,000,000). The results show that in real life communication, English speakers occasionally describe necklaces by size adjectives while for the Tatar language speakers the length parameter does not matter, since in communication traditionally or stereotypically specified length of the necklace is presupposed. Parametric adjectives of the Tatar language rather describe the form of the necklace (kiñ/keçkenä). In both languages, positive size adjectives prevail four- or five-fold in outfit describing situation. In English, the frequency of these adjectives is two times as low. In both languages, negative size adjectives have the same frequency in describing clothes. In both languages, the size characteristic of shoes is extremely rare. It seems that there is no problem of discrepancies in shoe and foot sizes. Food is rarely characterized by size adjectives. In British National Corpus, the most common phrase is big mac. In Tatar adjective vak / small dominates when describing food parameters. In English phrases with human body, parameters also represent a large group. Phrases with the positive parameter adjective are distributed almost equally with respect to all parts of the face. British people are prone to a detailed description of the person's face. Additionally Tatar language speakers tend to appeal to complex adjectives to describe someone's appearance. It is clear that all the specified distinctive linguistic and cultural features that have come out due to modern digital linguistic methods should be taken into account in actual intercultural communication.

Regular expression search is widely used, including in databases. For example, the LIKE operator was included in the SQL standard about thirty years ago. However, the types of indexes commonly used in DBMS are extremely limited for speeding up regular expression search: most of these queries require a full scan of all data. One of the most interesting approaches to developing a specialized index is described in the article [1]. Its authors suggested using a certain subset of substrings of variable - length input data-multigrams-as index keys. In this article, we propose changes to the structure and algorithm for constructing such an index, which allows us to achieve two goals. First, the index becomes applicable to speed up a broader class of queries. Second, the proposed changes made it possible to update the index. We also developed and tested an algorithm for updating the index when inserting new records into the database. This algorithm allows you to get two orders of magnitude lower time for updating the index compared to its complete reconstruction.
