Credit management knowledge is a critical factor in the entrepreneurial success of businesses. Understanding how to effectively manage credit transactions, assess creditworthiness, and maintain positive relationships with creditors is essential for financial stability and growth. Entrepreneurs with strong credit management knowledge are better equipped to secure financing, build credibility, optimize cash flow, and make informed financial decisions. By implementing sound credit management practices, businesses can mitigate the risk of bad debts, enhance their reputation, and seize opportunities for expansion and diversification. Ultimately, credit management knowledge serves as a foundation for entrepreneurial success by ensuring financial stability, facilitating access to resources, and enabling strategic decision-making. The study used the descriptive research design. The target population was 220 Micro Enterprises in Guangzhou, China. The study did sampling of 146 respondents that were chosen from the target population of 220 Micro Enterprises in Guangzhou, China. Data collection was done by the use of questionnaires. The study concluded that access to financing is a key determinant of entrepreneurial success. By equipping young entrepreneurs with credit management knowledge, they can develop strong credit profiles, demonstrate their creditworthiness, and increase their chances of securing loans or credit lines from financial institutions. Efficient cash flow management is vital for the smooth operation of micro enterprises. The study recommended that government agencies, industry associations, and educational institutions can collaborate to develop training programs and workshops specifically tailored to young entrepreneurs. Policymakers should consider implementing initiatives that incentivize financial institutions to provide accessible financing options to micro enterprises. Integrating credit management education into school curricula, vocational training programs, and entrepreneurship initiatives can equip young individuals with essential financial skills from an early stage.

Purpose: The successful implementation of VBS entails eight process elements of activity Yet Practical application showed a difference between theory and practice when its about to turning the concept into action in entrepreneurial domain, to address this gap this study aims to contribut to the improvement of the VBS implementation processes by exploring and designing a Product Centric VBS model for entrepreneurs, and by doing this to contribute to the general body of knowledge of VBS. Methodology: The research design builds on the Descriptive practice-oriented research methodology. Findings: While our study confirms earlier research on value-based selling antecedes and consequences we also identify epistemological assumption that the marketing organizational tier is the appropriate level for initiating VBS elements of activity hence the value co-creation process will be rationally superseded by value pre-crafting in collaboration between supplier and transitional entrepreneur. Unique Contributions to Theory, Policy and Practice: As earlier studies for Successful implementation of value-based selling and the conceptualization of the approach adopted a customer value co-creation perspective. These descriptions can form first stone in the milestone for further research in which propositions could be tested based on the assumptions that we used when we elaborated the parameters that form the construct of the model that we developed.

Employee Perception of Performance Contracting in State Corporations
Pub Date : 2023-06-10 DOI: 10.47941/jepm.1307
A. Kiboi, J. Maalu
Purpose: Drastic and fundamental changes are increasingly occurring in the environment in which organizations operate.  An obvious manifestation of the responses towards this turbulent environment is the introduction of performance contracting as part of the broader public sector reforms aimed at improving efficiency and effectiveness in the management of the services. Employees form a major stakeholder group in an enterprise.  However, their productivity and performance is dependent on their degree of motivation.  This can be influenced by how they perceive and interpret various initiatives that may be introduced by the organization; a critical one in this regard being introduction of performance contracting. Performance contracting is a devolved management by outcome rather than management by processes. It provides a range of management instruments used within the public sector to define responsibilities and expectations between parties to achieve mutually agreed result.  This research work sought to investigate the disconnect that may arise between employee perception of performance contracting in state corporations, based on their initial expectations from such a plan. The main objectives investigated during the study were to establish employee perception of the performance contracts adopted by the state corporations. Methodology: A sample of 160 respondents was used in the study.  The data collected was presented using tables and analyzed using descriptive statistics i.e. frequencies, percentages, mean scores and standard deviations.  Findings: The study established that there was a significant perception gap between employee expectations and perceived performance of the strategy in all indicators measure. Unique contributions to theory, practice and policy: Recommendations made were that, all employees need to be stakeholders in the future direction of the organization, even if it be in varying degrees.  Their daily performance and activities should be measured along the specific milestones and core values identified by the contract, since what cannot be measured cannot be managed.
