The use of plant-based medicines, health products, food supplements, and cosmetics is being increased nowadays due to their active and healthy ingredients. 1,8-cineole is a natural monoterpene, also known as eucalyptol. It is a major compound of many plant essential oils, mainly extracted from Eucalyptus globulus, Elettaria cardamom, Amomum subulatum Roxb. 1,8-cineole has recently been identified as a rhizosphere volatile in Arabidopsis, is well known as an allelopathic agent from Salvia and Artemisia. These are traditionally used as herbal medicine in Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Siddha, Unani and Yoga worldwide. They are indigenous plant native to India and are rich in bioactive molecules like alkaloids, anthocyanins, chlorogenic acids, coumarins, flavonoids, lignans, phenolic acids, saponins and glycosidic substitutes, tannins and terpenoids. Hence they are used to cure a wide range of diseases and act as a good anti-diabetic agent. 1,8-Cineole is a colourless liquid and found is many medicinal plants. This review aims to summarize the pharmacological bio-activities reported in literature. A system review was collected from various public databases such as NCBI, EMBASE and other reported research articles. Methodologies were focused on 1,8-Cineole anti-inflammatory property, gastroprotective mechanism, anti-microbial property, Anti-proliferative and Hepatoprotective mechanism. The present review aims to summarize and consolidate the biological properties of 1,8-Cineole.

According to the World Health Organization, 80% of the world’s population relies mostly on traditional remedies including the use of plant extracts or active components. India’s mega-biodiversity and knowledge of rich historic traditional systems of medicine (Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, Amchi, and local health traditions) give a solid foundation for the use of a wide range of plants in general healthcare and the treatment of common disorders. Tinospora Cordifolia is a Deciduous woody climbing shrub found in India, China, and Africa. It is a member of the Menispermaceae family. This plant’s pharmacological importance stems mostly from its root, stem, and leaf. It contains a variety of photoactive chemicals, including alkaloids, steroids, glycosides, lactones, polysaccharides, and others. Practically every portion of the plant has immunomodulatory effects. It is a significant medicinal plant used in Ayurveda medicine to treat colds, fevers, diabetes, and even rheumatoid arthritis.

Mycobacterium tuberculosis is the name of the bacterium that causes tuberculosis (TB), which typically affects the lungs. Lifetime exposure to TB bacteria increases the risk of developing TB by 5–10%. A person’s likelihood of getting sick rises if they lead an unhealthy lifestyle or have a compromised immune system. A person may take several months before showing symptoms of active TB disease. As a result, getting medical help may take longer, and the virus may spread to more people. Rifampicin, isoniazid, pyrazinamide, and ethambutol are given as part of the traditional treatment for pulmonary TB during the first two months, and then rifampicin and isoniazid are given for the following four months. For the treatment of multidrugresistant TB, levofloxacin, moxifloxacin, and bedaquiline are suggested.

Having suffered from a global epidemic of Covid19 mutants and variants, the entire world has turned its attention and hope to natural treatments that can keep the immune system active and strong. Recent research on some herbal preparations promises high hopes that they may be potential candidates for developing effective and safe immune-boosting drugs. Considering that Turkey has the richest flora of Europe and the Middle East and has an invaluable ethnomedical background, it offers a treasure-worthy potential for serious researchers. 128 plant taxa belonging to 41 families were determined from 99 works carried out in different regions of Turkey. Of these, only 60 (46.9%) were found to be responded to in experimental studies worldwide on immune system enhancement and other similar activities. Quercetin (10.3%), β-glucan, and catechin (5.1%) emerged as the most common active substances among 39 identified active substances. Urtica dioica (39.4%), Rosa canina (34.3%), and Punica granatum (17.2%) were recorded as the most used plants in Turkey. In addition, Phoenix dactylifera has appeared as the taxon with having more active compounds in the literature. This study presents the first national inventory of immune-boosting plants that are regularly used in traditional Turkish medicine, not only against Covid-19 but for the prevention and treatment of epidemic diseases in general. We present 68 (53.1%) plants whose effective immune-stimulating and strengthening properties have been confirmed in experimental studies in the world literature as ready-made material to the relevant pharmacological sectors.

Berberine chloride is an isoquinoline alkaloid that has antimicrobial activity against bacteria, viruses, chlamydia, fungi, protozoans, and helminths, etc. The study was designed with the aim to evaluate the influence of the Trivedi Effect®- Consciousness Energy Healing Treatment on the physicochemical and thermal properties of berberine chloride by using modern analytical techniques. For this study, the berberine chloride sample was divided into two parts among which, one part was named as control as no Biofield Energy Treatment was given to it; while the other part received the Consciousness Energy Healing Treatment remotely by a renowned Biofield Energy Healer, Alice Branton and named as the Biofield Energy Treated sample. The PXRD results revealed some changes in the Bragg’s angle of peaks along with - 7.24% to 188.78% alterations in the peak intensities and -65.88% to 135.42% changes in the crystallite sizes of the treated sample. Also, there was 1.91% decrease in the average crystallite size of the treated sample compared to the control sample. The particle size of the treated sample was significantly reduced by 20.16% (d10), 17.21% (d50), 27.53% (d90), and 27.36% {D(4,3)}; along with 15.31% increase in the specific surface area compared with the control sample. The total weight loss was significantly reduced by 25.81%; however, the residue amount was significantly increased by 55.04% in the treated sample compared to the control sample. Besides, the DSC thermogram showed four peaks, in which the peak temperatures of the treated sample corresponding to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th peak were altered by -2.26%, 3.55%, - 4.50%, and -0.69%, respectively. Moreover, the latent heat for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th peak of the treated sample were significantly reduced by 24.04%, 42.44%, 44.26%, and 47.78%, respectively, compared with the control sample. The results showed that the Trivedi Effect®-Consciousness Energy Healing Treatment might help in improving the solubility, absorption, and bioavailability of berberine chloride compared with the control sample. Hence, the Consciousness Energy Healing Treatment would be useful for designing the novel nutraceutical/pharmaceutical formulations of berberinechloride with improved drug profile for the treatment of various microbial diseases and disorders such as diarrhea, gastroenteritis, hypertension, tumor, malaria, hyperglycemia, inflammation, arrhythmia, infections, etc.
