The main purpose of this study is to investigate the perceptions of primary school teachers in the Dodecanese (Greece) regarding the relationship between their knowledge of differentiated instruction and the frequency of its implementation to students with learning difficulties. The research was conducted through quantitative approach using an anonymous electronic questionnaire on a sample of 174 primary school teachers of all specialties in the Dodecanese, during the period from February 13, 2021 to April 28, 2021. The correlation analysis (Spearman's rho) revealed that there is a positive correlation between teachers’ knowledge of differentiated instruction and the frequency of its implementation to students with learning difficulties. Therefore, it was found that as the teachers' knowledge of differentiated instruction practices increases, the frequency of their implementation increases.

With the suspension of the operation of school units due to the pandemic of the coronavirus in the educational systems of all developed countries, they were called upon to immediately implement the tele-educational process of implementing lessons, within the framework of formal education, in order not to disrupt the learning path of students. However, the implementation of Online Teaching and Learning (OTL) was not an educational possibility that had been sufficiently studied, both in terms of its implementation and its effectiveness in the educational and learning process. Therefore, questions were raised about what its impact on students might be. This question and, at the same time, this research question remains a strong educational and teaching concern, in order to show and also to prove whether similar processes could be used in the future as a new means of education and learning. In this context, the present research attempts to explore the limits and the didactic dynamics and perspectives of OTL in the teaching and learning process, by investigating the views of Greek teachers who applied it as an "urgent" didactic necessity during the period of home confinement of students due to the coronavirus pandemic. The extracted findings contribute to the enhancement of the relevant literature, as well as scientific experience and knowledge about this particular educational method.

A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted in the Iringa Municipality with 100 women of childbearing age aged 18 to 45 years. Levels of knowledge and awareness of family planning methods were surveyed using a self-administered questionnaire. As a result, it was found that the majority of 94(94%) of the surveyed population said they were well-informed about family planning methods and had good attitudes and awareness of contraceptives. Of the methods presented, male condoms, injections, and implants were familiar and used by the majority of participants. Of the 100 participants, 85(85%) used modern family planning techniques and 71(83.5%) of them reported having used services at a health facility. However, the remaining 15(15%) of respondents indicated that they did not use family planning for religious and cultural reasons. Modern contraceptive technology is available, accessible, and proven to be used. Therefore, more education is needed for communities on the importance of using permanent modern strategies, including sterilization. Getting men involved is also important.

The aim of this methodological article is to provide a practical example of the application of substantive theorizing to the area of educational research according to the principles of Grounded Theory. While most GT applications end up in a thematic-like manner of presentation and analysis by emphasizing open/substantive coding and how it is related to interview fragments, we attempt to highlight the move from connecting categories to making abstractions by using matrices. We suggest that substantive theorizing should entail 3 analytic stages which correspond to three different levels of abstraction: First, researchers have to clearly define the properties and the dimensions of the main categories as they emerged from in vivo coding, second, they have to provide matrices which show how categories are connected and, third, they must clarify how these connections cover the diversity of data bits and are explained by a core (theoretical) category.

Every day, we are practicing self-medication (SM) with over-the-counter (OTC) drugs within the frame of self-care for our wellbeing. This study aimed to assess knowledge, attitude, and practices on OTC medication use among selected students at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) in the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS). A cross-sectional study was carried out at CVMBS, in Morogoro included veterinary students and non-veterinary students. A simple random sampling technique was used to select samples and the data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire with structured and open-ended questions. Data entry, cleaning, and analysis were done using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The study revealed that the majority of the students 100 (64%) practice SM. Fever 69 (80.2%), emergency illness 46.0%, healthy facility charges 16.0%, distance to the health facility 12.0%, taking a long time of waiting for 11.0%, the proximity of the pharmacy shop 5.0%, no medicine in the health facilities 4.0%, 3.0% emergency illness and health facility charges, and emergency illness and takes a long time of waiting for 3.0%. The most commonly used OTC for SM in this study was painkillers (35%) and antibiotics (30%). The study revealed that community pharmacies were the major source of medicines for those who practiced SM with OTC drugs 67.0%, followed by medicines from relatives/friends 21.0%. The study also showed that there is optimal knowledge among CVMBS students, also study showed that most students have a negative attitude about SM where 38.0% strongly disagree and 37.0% disagree that SM can be practiced for all medicines. Malpractices were observed such as using remains from previous illnesses and using expired medications.

Animation is one of the multimedia elements that is able to express children's fantasies into reality. Animation is seen to be able to motivate and stimulate children's thinking in an effort to reduce the cognitive load during the learning process. Animation in science education has been used as an educational resource to support science learning for decades. However, most members of society consider animation to be merely a form of entertainment. Contrary to popular belief, animation is not just focused on entertainment alone, but also plays a huge role in the world of education. This study was conducted through a data analysis process from Miles et al. on three popular animation series published by local animation companies. An analysis was conducted to identify the elements of science education delivered through the published animated series. The results of the survey found that 33 episodes of the Upin & Ipin animated, 26 episodes of the Didie and Friends animated series and 14 episodes of the Alif and Sofia animated series contain elements of science education that can be utilized in primary school science education. This study was implemented so that community members make use of the animated series that are screened used to educate children through non-formal education as basic knowledge of science in children's daily lives. This study is also expected to give ideas to local animation companies to produce more animated series that have elements of Science education. This study is also able to help teachers to make use of the serial animations that have been published as the latest approach in the development of primary science curriculum.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the perspectives of nursery teachers who work in Attica (Greece) about the transition of the children under the age of 3 from home to the nursery. The research was conducted with the quantitative sampling method, using a questionnaire with closed questions; a total of 195 educators were asked to answer a questionnaire using a five-point scale concerning the characteristics of children and the nursery environment which may affect the process of transition. In addition, the study examines whether the demographic characteristics of educators influence their views about transition. In summary, the aim of the study is to fill the existing research gap in Greece regarding the transition of children under the age of 3. The findings of this study suggest that nursery teachers place more emphasis on developing the emotional and social skills of children than skills related to language development and the ability to follow instructions. These findings are implications practitioners to further develop their nurseries transition programme.
