A STUDY ON PLASMA FIBRINOGEN AND HAPTOGLOBIN IN LAMBS WITH EXPERIMENTALLY INDUCED HAEMONCHUS CONTORTUS INFECTION 实验性扭曲血蜱感染羔羊血浆纤维蛋白原和触珠蛋白的研究

The present study aims to evaluate the changes in concentrations of some acute phase proteins during Haemonchus contortus infection in lambs. This experiment was performed using 12 three-month-old healthy lambs, randomly allocated into 2 equal groups: G1 (uninfected control animals) and G2 (lambs infected with H. contortus). Each lamb of G2 group was orally inoculated with 4000 infective third stage larvae (L3) of H. contortus by placing a probe. Blood samples were collected on post infection days zero, 4, 7, 11, 14, 21, 28 and 32. After sampling, the blood was centrifuged, and the separated plasma was used for the quantitative determination of haptoglobin (Hp) and fibrinogen (Fb). The most pronounced changes occurred in Hp levels, which increased and attained the highest values on post infection days 4, 7, and 11. A peak concentration occurred on post infection day 7 when Hp increased by 45.96% vs the initial level, and by 44.08% vs the control level on the same day. There were no significant changes in Fb concentrations throughout the study.

EFFECT OF PLANT GROWTH REGULATORS IN THE PROPAGATION OF SEEDLING EXPLANT CAPSICUM ANNUUM L. VAR. ANNUUM 植物生长调节剂对辣椒苗外植体繁殖的影响

This is a very initial phase of work where the object was to find out a very simple and effective process of in-vitro plant generation of Capsicum annuum L. var. annuum. For the regeneration of plants, various explants have been used including different parts of seedlings, axillary buds, and apical buds. This study revealed that basal media containing 2, 4 D (1.5mg/l.) and kinetin (0.5 mg/l.) were acting as callus-forming media. MS basal media with NAA (1.0 mg/l.) and BAP (0.5 mg/l.) was acting as callus with some roots growing media. A small quantity of kinetin along not shows any significant changes. It has been found that axillary buds and apical buds were increased in length into the kinetin (1.5mg/l.) containing media. Later axillary bud and apical buds were transferred into the MS basal media containing NAA (1.0 mg/l.) and BAP (0.5 mg/l.), which act as callus with root forming media, and help to regenerate healthy new plantlets in a short period. The survival rate of these plants is 80%. Sugar and protein estimation was done. Sugar and protein content was much higher in in-vitro plants as compared to callus.

WINTER OCCUPANCY MODEL OF ROE DEER (CAPREOLUS CAPREOLUS) ON CENTRAL STARA PLANINA MTS SLOPES, BULGARIA 保加利亚中部平原MTS坡地狍冬季占用模型

Winter conditions, along with the snow cover, provide a specific environment for the mountainous fauna. The altitude gradient in such habitats suggests a dynamic in the availability and characteristics of this factor. Roe deer's occupation model of the southern and northern slopes of Central Stara Planina Mts was studied, using camera traps. The days with continuous snow cover presence on the mountainous ridge were registered in order to define the study period. More frequent detection of the species on the northern slope of the mountain was reported. The concentration of deer was higher in the areas of 600-800 m a.s.l. and of 1000-1200 m a.s.l. The preference of the roe deer to an older mature beech stands for winter habitats is also confirmed in the present study. The snow cover presence reduces the activity of roe deer.

VALUE ORIENTATIONS OF FUTURE FITNESS INSTRUCTORS 未来健身教练的价值取向

The article discusses the value orientations of future fitness instructors aimed at their successful professional activity. For this purpose, a questionnaire was used, containing twenty values, among which the respondents must rank five in a hierarchical sequence. In this regard, the opinions of 27 students from postgraduate qualification center were surveyed and analyzed. The analysis of the results reveals a desire and motivation to support the activities of athletes to achieve the desired results, continuous enrichment of their own competence in the field and the pursuit of independent work. The respondents want to gain all the necessary knowledge to optimize the condition of their future clients and to successfully practice this profession. Risky actions, authoritarian style of communication and work in a tense environment are not among the preferred values. The perspectives for improving the activities of future fitness instructors are outlined.

FACTORS PREDICTING A POSSIBLE INCREASE OF GLEASON SCORE AFTER RADICAL PROSTATECTOMY IN PATIENTS WITH WELL-DIFFERENTIATED PROSTATE CANCER 预测高分化前列腺癌患者根治性前列腺切除术后gleason评分可能增加的因素

Introduction The discrepancy between the Gleason score (GS) of the prostate biopsy and those after the radical prostatectomy (RP) is a well-known event. This is important for the patients because some of them, at least initially, prefer active surveillance, not active treatment. Aim To investigate the factors which can predict a possible increase in GS after RP in patients with well-differentiated (GS ≤ 6) prostate cancer (PCa). Methods The patients are divided into three groups. Group 1-GS of the biopsy is equal to those of the RP. Group 2- GS of the biopsy increases after the RP. Group 3- GS of the biopsy decreases after the RP. The information was collected and analyzed using IBM SPSS version 23. Results The patients available for analysis are 78- 32 patients in group 1, 34 patients in group 2, and 12 patients in group 3. A statistically significant difference in the prostate volumes and PSA density (PSAD) of the patients of the three groups is found. Discussion According to literature data patients with well-differentiated PCa (GS ≤ 6) are most likely to have their GS upgraded. That is why we studied several preoperative parameters (age, PSA, PSAD, prostate volume and presence of a palpable nodule in the prostate) in order to find a possible association with a GS-upgrade. Conclusion Higher PSAD and lower prostate volume are associated with a possible increase in GS. PSA, age, and the presence of a palpable nodule do not demonstrate a difference between the three groups.

BURNOUT SYNDROME IN MEDICAL RESIDENTS 住院医生的职业倦怠综合症

Objective: Occupational burnout occurs more often among doctors than among those working in other sectors. It is an indisputable fact that medics whose work requires almost continuous contact with people are more prone to burnout. It is noticed that the burnout syndrome affects doctors at all stages of their careers - from residents to experienced practitioners. Methods:. This paper performs a literature review on the frequency and causes of professional burnout among resident doctors. Results: The results of numerous large-scale studies are conclusive that the intensive workload of doctors, including night shifts and overtime, and the lack of work-life balance, due to the numerous resident duties, are the most common predisposing factors for the development of burnout syndrome in resident doctors. Another important conclusion from these studies is that a high level of BOS is mainly associated with depression and inadequate patient care. Conclusions: Professional burnout syndrome among resident doctors is an ongoing issue. It is then required that additional subjects, such as building skills to recognize and combat stress and implement strategies to overcome it, should be included in resident doctors training programmers.

PURPOSE: The extremophile group of microorganisms that has the ability to live in extreme conditions. These microbes have made beneficial adaptations in their genetic and metabolic makeup to survive the hostile environment. Extremophiles possess unique genes and know how to breed in extreme conditions. These characteristics make extremophiles unique and are now widely used to produce important biomolecules that are stable at high or low temperature, extreme pH values, and even in the presence of lethal pollutants. This chapter seeks to evaluate and provide sufficient evidence for the antioxidant and protective capabilities of the novel bacterial metabolites Semiquinone glucoside derivative and N-acetyl tryptophan glucoside as a microbial species isolated from Bacillus sp. INM-1 fermented broth and their possible therapeutic action.

OCULAR SURFACE COMFORT AND FACE MASKS: DRY EYE EPIDEMIC AMID COVID 19 PANDEMIC? 眼表舒适度与口罩:covid - 19大流行中的干眼症流行?

PURPOSE: The purpose of this research is evaluating the effects of wearing face masks on ocular health among medical students in the current COVID-19 pandemic. METHODS: The study includes 147 students in total, all are from Medical University in Pleven. They were interviewed anonymously about their eye health and comfort during periods of wearing face masks. RESULTS: Findings of the study highlighted that wearing face masks for prolonged periods decreases eye comfort levels. Most common presenting complaints were dryness, grittiness, scratchiness, soreness, burning and watering. Almost one quarter of interviewed students sometimes experienced eye fatigue or ocular discomfort. Severity of symptoms was described as “tolerable” in 30.8%, “uncomfortable” in 13%. Of the asked students 25.4% answered that their symptoms were getting worse while being with a protective face mask. In terms of longest uninterrupted time wearing face masks, results show: almost 20% reported more than 5 hours without break. CONCLUSIONS: As a conclusion of this study, it was observed that eye health and dry eye symptoms among medical students was adversely affected by wearing full face covering protective masks during the pandemic situation, which interferes with the quality of life and is an emerging public health issue.

Based on the study on the composition of the tabanid fauna of the Sredna Gora Mountains and the summarized reference data 54 species and 2 subspecies of 10 genera have been identified: Silvius (1 species), Chrysops (4 species), Atylotus (4 species), Therioplectes (2 species and 1 subspecies), Hybomitra (5 species), Tabanus (23 species and 1 subspecies), Heptatoma (1 species), Haematopota (10 species), Dasyrhamphis (2 species) and Philipomyia (2 species). For the first time, data on the tabanid fauna of the Ihtimanska and Sashtinska Sredna Gora Mountains have been reported. For the Ihtimanska Sredna Gora Mountains 17 species of 4 genera have been identified: Atylotus (1 species), Tabanus (12 species), Haematopota (2 species) and Philipomyia (2 species), and for Sashtinska - 20 species of 6 genera: Chrysops (2 species), Atylotus (2 species), Hybomitra (1 species), Tabanus (12 species), Haematopota (2 species), and Philipomyia (1 species). The species Atylotus latistriatus Brauer in Br. & Bergenstamm, 1880, Tabanus spodopterus Meigen, 1820 and Philipomyia aprica (Meigen, 1820), registered in the Ihtimanska and the Sashtinska Sredna Gora Mountains have been reported for the first time for the fauna of the Sredna Gora Mountains.

INFLUENCE OF THE PUN1 GENE ON CAPSAICIN SYNTHESIS IN HYBRID LINES OF THE GENUS CAPSICUM pun1基因对辣椒属杂交系辣椒素合成的影响

The fruits of the Capsicum genus plants are valued for their spicy taste, unique only to them, due to the capsaicin alkaloid and its analogs, named capsaicinoids. Capsaicinoids are absent in sweet peppers, which are sometimes preferred due to the lack of pungency. Their presence or absence is a genetically controlled process, and many of the genes that affect capsaicin synthesis are known. The Pun1 gene plays a lead, and mutations in this locus are the most common cause of loss of pungency in the three related species Capsicum annuum, Capsicum chinense, and Capsicum frutescens. In the present study, we analyzed the effect of the Pun1 gene on the synthesis of capsaicin in hybrid lines of the genus Capsicum. This analysis was performed by comparing the fruit spiciness profile (determined organoleptically) and the allelic state of the Pun1 gene (determined by PCR reaction, using allele-specific primers). The comparative analysis confirms our hypothesis that the pungent and lack of pungent in the selected hybrid lines is entirely controlled by the action of this Pun1 gene only.
