The aim of this paper focuses on analyzing two student leaders, who lived the centennial period of the American independence, and simultaneously they also experienced the time of the Colombian student movement and the incidence of Cordoba ́s one in the Latin American region. We refer to Luis López de Mesa (1884-1967), centenary generation: and Germán Arciniegas (1900-1999), generation of new leaders. The historical period covers from 1910 to 1924 corresponding to the first and second Colombian student Congress. From the political history are analyzed these two student leaders, who occupied the ministry of education under liberal governments. Both were dedicated to university teaching and were characterized by their contributions to journalism and their new approaches towards a reform of the Colombian university. Their conceptions on education and their university proposals are studied here from the perspective of the student movements and especially from the features adopted from Cordoba ́s Movement in Colombia. The comparative methodology was used for this study and is based mainly on primary sources.
我们指的是Luis López de Mesa(1884-1967),百年一代;以及Germán Arciniegas(1900-1999),新一代领导者。

The aim of this article and its relevance lies in giving to know some private letters, unknown until today, sent to Deodoro Roca by Dr. Gregorio Bermann, a reformist intellectual. To study the correspondence, we used the content analysis that allows to discover the DNA of the messages and reconstructs their architecture, structure, and reveals the basic components. In summary, the analyzed correspondence confirms the friendship between Bermann and Roca throughout their lives, their concerns about the university and the problems of the generation of 1918.

The article refers to a process of university reform that took place in the 1920s and 1930s in Michoacan. We specially focus on the rectorates of Jesus Diaz Barriga and Enrique Arreguin Velez, two of the most important socialist leaders of that time. Other characters such as Natalio Vazquez Pallares, who, as well as Arreguin, ascended quickly from the student leadership to the university leadership. A common characteristic among these university students was their closeness to General Lazaro Cardenas, Governor of Michoacan and President of the Republic in those years. One of the purposes of this paper is to show the participation of student organizations in a process of the university reform that proposed the establishment of a State University. For this purpose, student groups and university authorities joined forces with the support of the state and federal governments. The former played an important role as instruments of ideological propaganda and social control. The degree of political and ideological radicalization of the socialist student organizations helped to accelerate and deepen the implementation of the official educational policy in Michoacan and other places in the country. Groups such as the Nicolaita Student Council and the young revolutionaries block of Michoacan systematically fought against the political and ideological opponents of Cardenismo, which gave them a privileged place within the university structure.

The present work has the purpose of studying the effects evidenced in the city of Trujillo, as a result of the events occurred on May 23, 1923 in Lima, within the student movement for the University Reform initiated in Argentina in 1918 and in Peru in 1919. It is the result of a research that uses a qualitative methodology with historical emphasis. The events occurred during the government of Augusto B. Leguia who, seeking his reelection and violating the Political Constitution, ordered the consecration of Peru to the Heart of Jesus. During the protest carried out by students of the University of San Marcos and workers of Lima, a student and a worker died as a result of the violent repression. The government arrested the movement leaders. These events were echoed at the University of Trujillo. The intransigence of the rector and the University Council created a strong tension. The students sketched concepts in accordance with the principles of the University Reform: university for change and open doors as the home of the people and for the people. The authorities did not exhibit any formative position, but compulsive and anachronistic; they responded with repression.14 students were expelled definitively and other 8, temporarily.

The objective of this reflection article is to analyze the impact that the Manifesto Liminar has on the political and social actions of the university movements in Colombia. University students’ speech propose rebellion as the agglutinating spirit that justifies their collective actions; this vision, shared by the youth of Cordoba, strongly suggest a connection between both movements. This article is derived from a research project that uses a qualitative methodology with an interpretive approach. Primary sources such as the press with semi-structured interviews and historiographic balances are triangulated. Finally, it is stated that the "identity" generated in the midst of rebellion and collective actions in the 1960s and 1970s underwent a transformation in the 1980s to reach the peak of its languor, when the same speech of revolution is adapted by the system during the neoliberal reforms.

The present study analyzes a long-standing Argentine student journal called Verbum that belonged to the Philosophy and Letters Student Center of the University of Buenos Aires (CEFYL). Through its content, we propose to give an account of the image of that institution and its reformist movement between 1912 and 1942. The faculty of humanities is presented as an Olympic temple of knowledge with different limitations: little operational budget, invalidity of its titles, disqualified teachers, lack of occupational projection in the national culture. However, the existence of great intramural figures such as Jose Ingenieros or Ricardo Rojas stands out. On the other hand, it was there where the first actions of reformist leaders took place, for instance, those of Gregorio Bermann, who became a specialist in student movements and was the author of the book La juventud de America de la UNAM. From Verbum and the environment of the faculty emerged a range of similar and contradictory positions that reduced the reformist platform to purely didactic and guild demands or that extended it to the civil, community and international terrain. That is why we address here the work of avant la lettre reformers like Bermann, intellectuals within the reformist movement, such as Coriolano Alberini, or anti-reformists as Leopoldo Lugones. Within the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters was recurrent the citation of diverse political-academic positions, that appealed to the reformist nominal emblem, beyond its commitments with all the flags raised by the Reformation. From these positions arises the Partido Reforma Universitaria. In short, the reformist identity has been a broad ideological spectrum, applicable to all those who agree with progressive nominations from different degrees of radicalization and distanced both from ultramontane traditionalism and liberal conservatism. The methodology of this study attempted to adapt the guidelines of Noemi Girbal for the entry "Journals" in the Dictionary Pensamiento Alternativo, Adenda .

This article analyzes the presence of students, workers, and guerrillas in some political episodes documented since 1968 in Brazil. Based on a reflection about the close relationship of these social characters with the armed struggle and the importance of the political and organizational inheritance that fostered the social movements from the second half of the 1970s. The presence of these armed movements and their pedagogical nature, as an indivisible part of the history of social movements, allows us to understand them as agents of unexpected changes, contrary to the settlement of order and the mechanisms of domination, typical characteristics of a capitalist society. These movements dare to turn the world from head to toe and sow, in the fertile soil of history, the utopia of a society neither exploited nor with exploiters.
