BEHAVIOURAL FINANCE – A NEW PERSPECTIVE 行为金融学——一个新的视角

Behavioral theories are viewed as a relatively new phenomenon in the security markets. Therefore, examining the subject is essential in order to understand the changing world of investments . Current technology enhances fast trade between individual investors. The concept of investing is seen as trendy. Therefore, people tend to make illogical decisions not based on true knowledge or information of a certain investment object. These decisions are explained via several behavioral finance theories. The outcome of poor knowledge is that investors allow these theories to effect on their decision-making process, thus resulting in major losses. The behavioral models can affect on individuals’ decision-making whether actual investments are conducted via professionals or not. The concept of investing is extensive as it can include all the aspects of pu rchasing items expected to gain more value in the future (art, antique, securities etc.). Therefore, it has been decided to narrow down the subject to concentrate on stock trading and the impact of behavioral finance on individual portfolio investors. This research paper attempts to highlight a new perspective on the study of behavioural finance. In this study, the aim is to establish the existence of such fundamental issues, driven by various psychological biases, in the investment decision-making process. Behavioral economists firmly believe that psychological factors influence investment decisions. They argue that today’s investment decisions demand a better understanding of individual investors’ behavioral biases. However, many economists believe completely in the application of traditional theories in the decision-making process and hence do not consider the concept of irrational behavior. Behavioral finance therefore studies the influence of psychology on the behavior of portfolio investors and their consequent reactions in stock market investing. In this context, it seems relevant to check whether the behavioral factors have an influence on the decision-making process of portfolio investors. A questionnaire will be formulated and distributed among the clients of two brokerage firms in India and their investment decisions and effects of behavioral factors on it will be studied. The focus is on individual investors as they are more likely to have limited knowledge about application of traditional theories in decision-making and hence are prone to making psychological mistakes. The primary analysis would be focused on determining whether behavioral factors affect the investors’ decision to buy sell or hold stocks.

PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF FUZZY CONTROLLER BASED ZVS DC-DC CONVERTER FOR SOLAR ENERGY CONVERSION SYSTEM 太阳能转换系统中基于模糊控制器的ZVS dc-dc变换器性能分析

AbstractThis present work emphasis on the improvement of resonant converter (DC –DC converter) for solar energy conversion system (SECS). It accentuations on plan and exh ib iting periods of the distinctive constituents of the SECS like the rudimentary model of zero voltage switching (ZVS) converter, inverter, fuzzy logic controller, best maximum power point tracking (MPPT) system utilizing MATLAB/ Simulink. Here, a resonant converter represents the static and dynamic characteristics of an actual solar irradiance have been developed for simulation tests. The irradiance and temperature changes circumstances are performed using the resonant converter, which consist of PV system, whose control is implemented using Fuzzy logic control unit and MATLAB/ Simulink. This PV module can achieve maximum power using Perturb & Obserb algorithm. Under various abnormal conditions like change in irrad iance and temperature, step change in irradiance etc. The control system is executed on a fuzzy logic control unit . Speculative outcomes are exhib ited utilizing a 200W model of SECS to demonstrate the better aftereffects of the propelled framework and their control under steadystate and dynamic conditions.

Indian Textile Industry is one of the leading textile industries in the world. The economic liberalization of Indian economy in 1991 gave the much needed thrust to the Indian textile industry, which has now successfully become one of the second largest in the world. There are many states like West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Kerala and Maharashtra which are textile hub of the Country. Among them Maharashtra is one of the giants in the textile manufacturing and also the one to owe highest industrial outputs in the textile sector. There are abundant natural resources, skilled manpower and premiere R&D centers. Additionally bulk of raw material available is all responsible for pushing down the cost of textile industry. Due to all these favorable factors, it co ntributes highest FDI in the country and highest contribution to India’s GDP. This industry comprises of both Public and Private sector textile units. Though it is leading textile producing state but it is struggling hard to uphold and maintain its position. Therefore, it is important to check the financial health of Public sector textile units in Maharashtra. In the present study researcher has identified various significant ratios to evaluate and predict the financial health of selected public textile units with the help of Altman’s z score model.

EFFECT OF PIT LATRINES ON HAND DUGWELL WATER QUALITY - A CASE STUDY OF IJERO- EKITI COMMUNITY IN EKITI STATE, NIGERIA 坑式厕所对手摇井水质的影响——以尼日利亚埃基蒂州ijero - ekiti社区为例

Water samples were taken from 6 private hand dug wells sited at major locations within the community. The samples were assessed for both the bacteriological and physicochemical parameters. Water quality parameters: pH, chloride, nitrate, ammonium, electrical conductivity, turbidity, Iron, Phosphate, sulphate, conductivity, total dissolved solids, total acidity and total alkalinity were determined using standard methods. Faecal coliform, Heterotrophic, Vibrio and Salmonella spp. counts were determined by standard methods. All the physico-chemical parameters analyzed (except turbidity and nitrate) fell within the WHO and EPA standards for drinking water having a p-value of 0.05.The bacteriological analyses, however, showed that the total heterotrophic count ranged from 1.3x10 6 -1.5x10 7 cfu/ml, the highest coliform count was 3.6x10 6 cfu/ml, highest Salmonella-Shigella counts was 6.3x10 3 cfu/ml) and Highest E. coli count was 2.8x10 4 cfu/ml). The bacteria isolated from water samples in this work included Escherichia coli, Enterobacter aerogenes, Pseudomonas spp, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella typhosa, Shigella spp, Vibrio cholerae, Proteus spp, Klebsiella spp. with Salmonella sp. However, Shigella and V. cholera were only isolated from A, B, D, E samples. Epidemiological data revealed that the reported cases in clinics of water borne diseases like diarrhea and typhoid fever were high, showing infections through consumption of contaminated water from the hang-dug wells. The presence of these biological indicators suggest that the water is potentially harmful to human health if consumed untreated. DESIGN OF BITUMINOUS MIXES FOR HEAVILY TRAFFICKED ROADS – A BOON TO INDIAN ROADS 为交通繁忙的道路设计沥青混合料——这是印度道路的福音

Abstract-A large number of road construction projects are currently under design and construction stage in India. If these projects are constructed with high modulus bituminous mixes then there will be a huge amount of savings in materials, reduced maintenance cost and increased service life of the pavement. High modulus bituminous mixes can be produced by using hard grade bitumen. The present experimental study aims at production of hard grade bitumen with PPA as modifier for the preparation of high modulus bituminous mixes. Bituminous mixes were prepared with Dense Bituminous Macadam (D.B.M) gradation for both conventional and laboratory produced hard grade bitumen. The tests conducted on prepared mixes were Marshall stability, Indirect tensile strength (ITS) and Resilient modulus (Mr). From the test results the optimum binder content was found as 5.27 % and 5.46 % for virgin and hard grade bituminous mixes. The marshall stability and ITS of mixes prepared with hard grade bitumen was found as 1.14 and 1.32 times higher than the virgin bituminous mixes. Resilient modulus at 35 o C found as 3310 MPa for mix prepared with hard grade bitumen and 1746 MPa for the virgin mix. Further, a pavement section was designed for 300 msa as per IRC: 37-2018 guidelines by using IIT Pave. After conducting several trials in IIT Pave the thickness of the base course is decreased by 40 mm by considering the bituminous mix prepared with hard grade bitumen. Maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is a technique to maximize the power output. Photovoltaic Cells and other similar devices use this technique to get maximum power. Photovoltaic cells have a complex relationship between their operating environment and power they can produce. [1] The power output depends mainly on solar irradiance, temperature and total resistance. Due to nonlinear I-V characteristics, where output power varies with cell voltage it is necessary to develop a mechanism that will harness the maximum power available from sun at all the times.

The estimated required Components such as solar PV Panel, charge controller, battery, distribution system is considered for DC micro grid. further, the voltage dip and Energy drop calculations are presented. Use of green composites for contemporary medication, is anticipated to be a key subject of modernday chemistry research. As such, a lot of research is being carried out on the green materials and their potential use in biomedical applications. This paper discusses about the some basic applications of green materials in the field of the biomedical area and there production. Crucial production concepts of bio-composites, like the different types of natural biocomposites, the composing material classes and the common families and their fabrication techniques are discussed. The technologies discussed include extrusion/injection, compression, and pultrusion process for fabrication of these fibers is discussed.

THE IMPACT OF FOREIGN INVESTMENT ON INDIA ECONOMY 外国投资对印度经济的影响

If economy is a body, Investment is its blood and sometime body needs adequate blood for being healthy, we have to bring it from other body, means if an economy need to run with well health, investment is necessary for it and has to bring from other countries, which is called Foreign Investment. In the era of globalization and financial integration, Foreign Investment has emerged as one of the most important forms of capital flows to developing countries. The main objective of present study is to see the impact of Foreign Investment on Indian economy. The study is based on the period of 1991-92 to 2017-18. To analysis the data line graph, correlation and Regression with Newey-West standard errors are used. To check problem of unit root Interpolated Dickey-Fuller test has been also used. Evidences are collected from Reserve Bank of India: handbook of statistics on Indian Economy. In the result we found that there is positive impact on Indian economy and other variable such as Total Debt, Foreign Exchange Reserve, India’s’ Foreign Trade are playing statistically significant positive role to improve economy except NRI’s Deposits which impact is not statistically significant. Although, in the analysis, the result is also found that in the one hand; economy, Total Debt, Foreign Exchange Reserve and NRI Deposits are positive correlated but in the other hand; India’s foreign trade is negatively with other variables. In the conclusion, foreign investment is not only an option of domestic investment, but can also improve the balance of payment of host country. The flow of foreign investment in an economy benefits the economy in terms of investment capital, technology transfer, management skills and job creation. At present, many developing and at least developed countries depend on foreign investment inflows due to less domestic investment and lack of resources.
