PAS’s existencein the state of Johor has spanned more than six decades. Nevertheless, the party's performance in the state election is seen to be still in an uncertain state until today when it failed to win a satisfactory number of seats both at the parliamentary and state assembly levels. This situation suggests that PAS is facing a serious problem that needs attention and a thorough solution to enable the party to get out of the prolonged political lethargy syndrome. By using a descriptive case study design, this article aims to unravel the challenges faced by Islamic party that make it difficult for them to expand in the state of Johor. The results of the study show that there are three main challenges faced by PAS, namely limitations on religious access, party identification and current sentiment of oppositional politics that are not in their favor. Therefore, PAS is advised to rejuvenate its image and set the direction of the party clearly so that the penetration rate of the party's influence can be elevatedin the state of Johor.

Mahathir Mohamad's leadership as the Prime Minister of Malaysia is an example of excellent leadership. His stint is peculiar as he is the longest-serving leader in the world and the oldest Prime Minister to ever lead a country. The impact of his leadership establishes his reputation as an outstanding leader as supported by the Great Man Theory of Leadership. As an effort to comprehend his leadership excellence, this study examined Mahathir's leadership through the lens of the Great Man Theory of Leadership, which elevates leadership based on extraordinary achievements and considers the leader to be born a leader. The research was conducted by using a narrative review approach. Data were gathered qualitatively using thematic analysis, from secondary sources including academic journals, dissertations, books, and published articles pertaining to the topic of Mahathir's leadership. The results found that his leadership approach is indeed aligned with the underlying elements of the Great Man Theory of Leadership, namely charismatic, intelligent, politically skilled, and wise. Past studies reported that Mahathir possesses the quality of being visionary, trustworthy, authentic, resourceful, pragmatic, people-oriented, good communication skills, highly ethical, and core value-based, thus strengthening his premise as an outstanding leader. His excellence in leading the country has been proven beneficial to both Malaysia and its people while the attention that he received from the international community further reinforced his relevance and influence at both the local and international levels. It is indeed a pride for Malaysia as a Southeast Asia country to have a world-class leader.

The covid-19 pandemic has changed the habitual practices of human life that have been practiced for so long. People all over the world have been introduced to a new form of habit termed the new norm. Several Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) have been introduced to curb the spread of this epidemic. However, the question arises whether these preventive measures are a new thing that has never existed before? Similarly, is there a similarity between the practice of SOP that must be on everyone today with the practices that have been practiced according to the disciplines of science and the religion of Islam. This study uses a qualitative method that uses the design of library research and document review. The results show that there are similarities between the practice of SOP outlined by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) and the World Health Organization (WHO) produced based on scientific studies with the practice of ablution that has long been organized by the holy religion of Islam. These findings have further added to the knowledge and confidence about the position of the disciplines of science and religion which are so beautifully complementary to each other. Further this evidence has directly rejected the ideas of dualism and secularism that separate religion from everyday life.

The youth are in a phase of identity fragility which causes them to often engage in behavior that touches on issues of ethnic sensitivity. Therefore, cross-ethnic social relations among the youth need to be constantly monitored because they are the future heirs of the country. Cross-ethnic social relations in this study are examined through the pattern of cross-ethnic associations among youth. This study involved 362 youth (60% Malay, 25% Chinese and 15% Indian). Data were obtained from the distribution of questionnaires which were analyzed using SPSS version 23 and SMART-PLS 3.0 software. The findings of the pattern show that Malay youth have more cross-ethnic social relationships through associational activities compared to Chinese and Indian youth. Contributions and suggestions for further research are included in the conclusion section of the study.

Corporate governance as a knowledge management system has been approached from the organizational reputation as a result of alliances with institutions. In the health sector, the demand for a quality service has led to a system of professional practices and deregulated social service in which the image of the universities and health centers involved is questioned. The objective of the present work was to contrast a model for the study of the phenomenon with the intention of specifying the relationships between variables. A non-experimental exploratory and cross-sectional study was conducted with a non-probabilistic and intentional sample of 1018 administrative, professional and students of the health sector. It was found that the follow-up factor of cases reflected the image of the universities as trainers of intellectual capital by competences. In relation to the literature consulted, research lines are proposed to specify the model.

Native education is still a major issue even though the country has reached 65 years of independence. Previous studies show that the performance of Native pupils is poor in studies, there are discipline problems and absenteeism among school students. However, the percentage of Native pupils students in Malaysia has shown an increase in recent times. In fact, records show that there is an Native school almost with up to 100 percent pupils attendance at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sayong Pinang, Kulaijaya, Johor. Therefore, the writing of this article explains about the study related to the humanistic characteristics shown by the teacher in managing activities in the school according to the students of the school through several programs carried out by the school management. The study uses a qualitative approach by applying the Nominal Group Technique (NGT) involving informants who were purposefully selected among school students totaling 9 people. The ten humanistic characteristics found in this study are the teacher's appearance, kind-hearted, friendly, caring, firm, caring, creative, funny, responsible and diligent. This writing gives implications to educators in helping to improve student education development plans, especially for the Native Pupils in Malaysia.
